Nickelodeon UK To Start To Show The New "Monster High" TV Specials In February 2013

The Nickelodeon UK fanblog NickUKHub is reporting the Nickelodeon UK News that, according to the online Nickelodeon UK and Ireland television schedule on the British and Irish TV guide website Digiguide, Nickelodeon UK will start to premiere and show the brand new one-hour long CGI-animated "Monster High" television specials on Nickelodeon UK and Ireland and Nickelodeon HD UK in February 2013, as part of "February on Nickelodeon UK 2013"!

The first "Monster High" special episode that Nick UK will show will be called "Escape from Skull Shores", which Nickelodeon UK will premiere on Saturday 9th February 2013 at 7.00am (repeated at 8.00am on Nick UK's +1 (plus-one) timeshift channel, Nickelodeon +1). Nickelodeon UK will then continue to show more brand new episodes of "Monster High" every Saturday then on at the same time.

Each one-hour-long CGI-animated (animated using computer-generated imagery) "Monster High" special is based on the characters from Mattel's popular "Monster High" American Fashion doll line.

In the first "Monster High" special episode Nickelodeon UK will show, "Escape from Skull Shores", it's Spring Break and the ghouls and guys are going to Skull Shores for a vacation. But when Frankie is offered as a sacrifice to an ancient monster on the island, this heavenly trip becomes a horror show. Frankie befriends the monster, a cutie named Andy, but a ruthless hunter wants to take him in. "Escape from Skull Shores" is based on Mattel's 2011 Skull Shores "Monster High" doll line.

Nickelodeon Latin America To Launch Local Nicktoons Channel In Mexico In February 2013; VIMN LatAm Inks FTA Deals For Popular Nick Programming

The children's entertainment news website Kidscreen is reporting the Nickelodeon News that Nickelodeon Latin America (also known as Nick LatAm) will launch a localised (localized) version of Nickelodeon's action and animation channel, NickToons, in Mexico in February 2013, which will broadcast 24 hours a day seven days a week! Nicktoons, which will launch on the Cablevision, Megacable and Cablemas cable television companies, will air popular original animated Nickelodeon series (Nicktoons) such as "SpongeBob SquarePants", "Kung Fu Panda: Legends Of Awesomeness" and Nick's brand new CGI-animated "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" TV show. With the addition of the 24-hour animation channel, Nickelodeon will soon reach roughly 20 million TV households in the country.

Meanwhile, Viacom International Media Networks Latin America has inked a series of free-to-air branded block deals with broadcasters for Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. content.

Brazilian free-to-air broadcaster Bandeirantes has closed a four-year branded block package that includes kids and teen animation and live action programming. Chilean broadcaster Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso (UCVTV) has also closed a two-year branded preschool block including Nick Jr. staples Dora The Explorer, Team Umizoomis and Bubble Guppies. El Salvador’s Canal 12 has closed a three-year branded block deal that includes Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob Squarepants, while Panama's TVN-2 closed a three-year branded block deal that includes Big Time Rush, Fanboy and Chum Chum, Kung Fu Panda, Penguins of Madagascar, and Tuff Puppy.
