NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--America's favorite holiday tradition will once again kick off the season of joy, as the 89th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade® returns to march down the streets of New York City on Thursday, Nov. 26. As millions celebrate the holiday with family and friends, more than 8,000 participants, including clowns, balloon handlers and marching bands, will travel through Manhattan to the sound of the iconic catchphrase Let's Have a Parade™. With more than 3.5 million spectators and more than 50 million television viewers nationwide, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is the nation's most celebrated and anticipated holiday treat.

Since its origin in 1924, the Macy's Parade has marked the official start of the holiday season, introducing a cherished march of magic that has dazzled generations of fans. For the 89th edition, the famed spectacle's line-up will feature 17 giant character balloons; 24 novelty/ornament balloons, balloonicles and trycaloons; 27 floats; 1,100 cheerleaders and dancers; more than 1,000 clowns; 12 marching bands; a host of celebrity performers; and of course, the one-and-only Santa Claus.

STARS ON PARADE

The procession will feature a star-studded cast who will celebrate the holiday with America, providing the nation with first-class performances along the way. Joining the festivities this year are Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Mariah Carey, Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson, Cirque du Soleil®, Daughtry, Andra Day, Andy Grammer, Sandra Lee, Shawn Mendes, MercyMe, Mipso, Miss America 2016 Betty Cantrell, Jennifer Nettles, NHL legends Mark and Marty Howe, Jake Owen, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T's, Rachel Platten, Prince Royce, Questlove with the cast & Muppets of Sesame Street®, the cast of Broadway's School of Rock, Trey Songz, Jordin Sparks, Chica and the gang from Sprout and Train.

In addition to the performing talent, leading the Parade will be a special invited guest. GIANTS IN THE SKY

The Parade's signature giant character balloons have showcased the world's most beloved cultural characters since the late 1920's. Evolving from a simple paper sketch to giant wonders on Thanksgiving morning, the balloons are transformed by Macy's "Balloonatics" into high flying art.

This year, four new giant characters will take center stage including Angry Birds' Red by Rovio Entertainment; the pre-historic and legendary DINO™ by Sinclair Oil; Ice Age's Scrat and his Acorn by Twentieth Century Fox; and Ronald McDonald® debuting in his fourth whimsical giant balloon.

Returning characters include Adventure Time with Finn & Jake, Diary of A Wimpy Kid®, The Elf on the Shelf®, Hello Kitty®, How to Train Your Dragon's Toothless, PADDINGTON™, Pikachu™, Pillsbury™ Doughboy™, Skylanders® Eruptor, Snoopy & Woodstock, SpongeBob SquarePants, the Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger and Thomas the Tank Engine®. FLOATING ON AIR

Macy's floating wonders create a collection of magic and imaginative delights that dazzle and transport spectators. These stages are created by Macy's Parade Studio's team of designers, carpenters, painters, animators, metal fabricators and electricians, who work all year to bring the idea on a sketch pad to towering reality. Macy's Parade floats are often three stories tall and several lanes of traffic wide, but must collapse to no more than 12 ½-feet tall and 8-feet wide in order to safely travel from the New Jersey studio to the Manhattan starting line via the Lincoln Tunnel.


SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS - NICKELODEON

Everyone's favorite pineapple dwelling sea sponge, SpongeBob SquarePants joins the Thanksgiving celebration, donning a festive holiday chapeau, in his second Parade balloon. Balloon Dimensions: 41-feet long, 34-feet wide, 44-feet tall. Fun Fact: SpongeBob SquarePants' hat has a 5-foot white brim and a 6-foot diameter "jingle bell."

Float Facts: Against a spectacular dark cityscape, the float depicts roof tops, fire escapes, city window ledges and a zip line down the wires of telephone poles.

Completing the lineup will be a vintage 1924 Ford Model T Fire Truck, along with the FDNY Pipes & Drums in celebration of their 150th anniversary. In addition, the Casa Fresca Café float by Avocados From Mexico will entice and delight spectators with a tasty and fun fiesta.


RED MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGER - SABAN

As the largest Power Ranger in the world, the iconic Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger takes his second flight over the streets of New York, defending the world and captivating fans on Thanksgiving Day.

Twelve performance ensembles will take up the call of the baton and march down the streets of Manhattan, creating a wave of thunderous applause. This year, special groups include the 610 Stompers (New Orleans, LA), Brooklyn Jumbies (Brooklyn, NY), J.U.M.P. jump rope team (Strongsville, OH) and the Kruti Dance Academy (Duluth, GA). The Stars Of "All That" Reunite At Comikaze 2015; Sing The "All That" Theme Song!

It's a great time for Nickelodeon nostalgia!

Two generations of cast members from Nickelodeon's hit classic sketch show "All That" - Kel Mitchell, Josh Server, Danny Tamberelli, Katrina Johnson, Alisa Reyes, Angelique Bates, Lisa Foiles, Jack DeSena, Christina Kirkman, Ryan Coleman - came together for a special reunion panel at Comikaze 2015 on Sunday 1st November 2015 - and it was truly magic! Not only did these comedy icons and their fellow cast members reunite, but, to close their panel, the stars wowed the audience by singing the "All That" theme song, originally performed by TLC! "All That" was a sketch comedy-variety show that featured original short comedic sketches and weekly musical guests aimed toward a younger audience. The show's sketches parodied contemporary culture and were performed by a large and varying cast of child and teen actors. Early episodes were taped at Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Orlando, but then moved to Hollywood at the Nickelodeon On Sunset theatre (formerly the Earl Carrol Theatre), where other Nickelodeon shows such as "The Amanda Show", "Kenan & Kel", and "Drake & Josh" were also filmed. But could the comic duo follow up their "Tonight Show" skit with a full-blown "Kenan & Kel" reunion episode?

To celebrate the UK and Irish premiere of his brand-new Nickelodeon show, "Game Shakers", Kel Mitchell told Digital Spy that a special could "most definitely" happen, revealing that he and Kenan Thompson are considering another team-up!

"Oh yeah, we've definitely been talking about it," he said. "Just to get back in those shoes, on stage together, we were both like, 'Oh man, we gotta do something together again'."

Mitchell confirmed to DS that he and Thompson are "still texting" after reviving their "Good Burger" sketch characters Ed and Lester Oaks.

"It was an awesome platform to do it on Jimmy Fallon, we were both fans of Jimmy and it was so much fun," he said. "Everyone loved it, the audience was going crazy, it was awesome.

"I knew there was this love to see us back together and, man, it happened, I'm glad we did it, 'cos it made a lot of people happy and they were excited by it."

Mitchell also told DS that he loves meeting fans of his '90s Nick shows - and he's happy to perform his classic catchphrases if you ask.

"I don't mind, I do it," he said. "I'm not one of those child stars that get upset when people ask me to do it. I think it's cool. If it can put a smile on somebody's face, I'm all about it, man."


37-year-old Mitchell is now back at Nickelodeon with a new show - the sitcom "Game Shakers", devised by "Kenan & Kel" creator Dan Schneider.

"It has that same energy from the '90s," he said. "It's created by Dan - he created "All That" and "Kenan & Kel" - so it definitely does have that same feel."

Except now it's Mitchell - playing the character Double G - who's the adult dealing with a troublesome pack of kids, rather than the other way around.


"I'm not the Dad with the pot-belly that comes down into the living room and shouts at his kids!" he laughed. "Double G's a hip-hop mogul, so he has just as much fun as the kids. He definitely has a young soul."

"Game Shakers" follows a pair of 7th grade girls, Babe (Cree Cicchino) and Kenzie (Madisyn Shipman), who, after creating a wildly successful mobile game app called Sky Whale for a science project, start a gaming company in Brooklyn called Game Shakers with their friend Hudson (Thomas Kuc).

But when superstar rapper Double G (Kel Mitchell, "Kenan & Kel", "All That", "Good Burger"), a super successful, unpredictable rapper, finds out the girls used one of his songs in their game without licensing it, he threatens to sue them for all he is owed! To make things right, Babe and Kenzie decide to make the rap superstar their business partner and hire his son, Triple G (Benjamin Lil P-Nut” Flores, Jr, "The Haunted Hathaways"), as a game consultant. Together, Babe, Kenzie, Hudson, Triple G and Double G will work to make Game Shakers a huge success in the gaming world! Will this new deal be a high score or a game over for Babe and Kenzie? Let the games begin!

Nickelodeon Germany, Nickelodeon Switzerland And Nickelodeon Poland To Premiere "Make It Pop" On Monday 30th November 2015

Nickelodeon Northern Europe has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland), Nickelodeon Switzerland (Schweiz) and Nickelodeon Poland (Polska) will start to premiere and show Nickelodeon's brand-new musical comedy series "Make It Pop" on Monday 30th November 2015!

Nickelodeon Northern Europe will premiere the first two episodes of "Make It Pop" on Nickelodeon Switzerland at 6:55pm and 7:25pm, on Nickelodeon Germany at 7:35pm and 8:05pm, and on Nickelodeon Poland at 7:50pm and 8:15pm! Following the debut of the first two episodes, Nickelodeon North will continue to premiere more brand-new episodes of "Make It Pop" weekdays at 6:55pm on Nick Switzerland, 7:35pm on Nick Germany and at 7:50pm on Nick Poland.


"Make It Pop" (20 episodes) is a comedic, music-infused daily strip about three unique girls who come together to start their own K-Pop-inspired band. Randomly selected to room together at boarding school, bookish Corki (Erika Tham), fashion-forward Jodi (Louriza Tronco) and social media maven Sun Hi (Megan Lee) meet and bond over music. With the help of fellow classmate and aspiring DJ, Caleb (Dale Whibley), the girls grow from roommates to bandmates as their group, XO-IQ, becomes a school-wide sensation. The series, which features original songs and performances in every episode, is co-created by Thomas W. Lynch and Nick Cannon and produced by DHX Media. Nickelodeon recently ordered a twenty episode second season of "Make It Pop".

Although unconfirmed, it is expected that other Nickelodeon channels around Northern Europe will start to air "Make It Pop" around the same time.

Berlin, 2. November 2015 – Freundschaft + (Girlpower³ x Musik) = 'Make it Pop'. So einfach wie diese Rechnung ist die neue Schule fĂĽr die drei Mädchen Sun Hi, Jordi und Corki nicht immer. Das Schuljahr hat gerade erst begonnen, da haben alle zwischen Mathe und Erdkunde nur Musik im Kopf. Mit 'Make it Pop' startet Nickelodeon am 30. November eine brandneue Serie rund um Schule, Freundschaft und vor allem Musik – in jeder Episode wird ein neuer Song vorgestellt.

Die total ĂĽberdrehte Sun Hi twittert unentwegt und ist in sozialen Netzwerken zuhause. AuĂźerdem ist sie davon ĂĽberzeugt, der geborene Superstar zu sein – und ist nicht unbedingt mit Bescheidenheit gesegnet. Als waschechte Fashionista träumt Jordi davon, irgendwann mal ihre eigene Kollektion rauszubringen und hat zudem ein GespĂĽr fĂĽr coole Dance-Moves. Corki hat ebenfalls viele Talente, ist aber zu schĂĽchtern, um damit zu trumpfen. Mit Hilfe ihrer Klassenkameradinnen Jordi und Sun Hi kann sie zeigen, dass viel mehr in ihr steckt als eine langweilige Einser-SchĂĽlerin vermuten lässt.

Auf der neuen Schule treffen sie auf Caleb: Ein ziemlich verpeilter Zeitgenosse, der als DJ groß durchstarten möchte. Er ist von einem Video, das die Mädchen von einer ihrer Jamsession online gestellt haben, so begeistert, dass er sie unbedingt musikalisch begleiten will. Die Geburtsstunde der Band XO-IQ.

Wie sich die Mädels und Caleb zusammen als Band schlagen, zeigt Nickelodeon ab dem 30. November immer montags bis freitags um 19.40 Uhr.

Das besondere an der Serie ist, dass in jeder Folge gesungen und getanzt wird. Die musikalischen StĂĽcke entstehen unter der Leitung von Peter Coquillard und Pilar McCury. Die erste Staffel umfasst 20 Episoden, eine zweite Staffel ist bereits bestellt. Produziert wird 'Make it Pop' von DHX media, deren Serie 'Degrassi' aktuell bereits bei Nicknight ĂĽberzeugt.
