Nickelodeon Portugal To Premiere "Get Blake!" On Monday 6th April 2015

Nickelodeon Portugal has announced the exciting Nickelodeon Europe News in the following article from the 'Noticias'/'News' section of their official website, nickelodeon.pt, that Nickelodeon Portugal will start to premiere and show "Get Blake!" (locally titled "Agarra o Blake"/"Grab Blake"), a brand-new exciting cartoon style comedy series filled with visual gags and delirious characters, everyday at 6:00pm from Monday 6th April 2015!:

Blake Myers pode até parecer igual a qualquer outro miúdo da sua idade: 13 anos, um fanático por desporto e um mestre do parkour. Mas se raramente um rapaz sabe mesmo o que quer ser quando crescer ou qual será o seu destino, Blake sabe o que o futuro lhe reserva: tornar-se-á um soldado intergalático do espaço com a missão de salvar o mundo de esquilos alienígenas!

A principal missão dos esquilos intergaláticos inadaptados é deter Blake no seu percurso para se tornar numa ameaça à sua raça algures no futuro! Porém,as tentativas diárias para interromper os planos de Blake, na maioria dos casos, não correm como esperado. Leonard e os seus seguidores Maxus e Jerome, dois traquinas de pouca esperteza que parecem interferir mais do que ajudar nas artimanhas de Leonard, não se deterão perante nada para parar Blake e impedir que consiga atingir o seu objetivo.

Ainda que Blake Myers só queira passar algum tempo com o seu amigo Mitch de la Cruz, um inventor de muito engenho, ele sabe da existência dos esquilos alienígenas que o perseguem e, claro, também sabe o que o espera no futuro.

O dia-a-dia de Blake e Mitch é uma mistura entre diversão a todo o custo e preparar e formar Blake para o seu destino como soldado intergaláctico do espaço. Para além disso, têm de repelir os ataques dos esquilos alienígenas que os perseguem, já que são os únicos de toda a vizinhança que sabem da existência destas criaturas do futuro.

Em cada episódio, Blake e Mitch terão de combater os esquilos que vão atrás de si, mesmo depois de terem sido encolhidos para dimensões microscópicas ou depois dos seus corpos terem sido trocados por os de um pinguim e de uma lula. Duros como são, os rapazes terão também de escapar da Idade do Gelo para onde foram enviados pelos esquilos! Isto para conseguirem chegar a tempo da festa de aniversário da sua amiga Skye, o amor platónico de Blake.

A luta contra os esquilos alienígenas do futuro começa no próximo dia 6 de abril, às 18:00. Por isso, não percas "Agarra o Blake" e segue as aventuras destes amigos e as suas disputas diárias contra os roedores, de segunda a domingo, às 18:00, no Nickelodeon.

Nick Jr. UK To Premiere "Puffin Rock" On Monday 18th May 2015

Nick Jr. UK has announced the exciting news on their website, nickjr.co.uk, the exciting news that Nickelodeon UK's preschool channel, Nick Jr. UK and Ireland, will start to premiere and show "Puffin Rock", a brand-new funny, playful natural history animated preschool series about a family of puffins living on a wild and beautiful Irish island, from Monday 18th May 2015 at 6:30pm (repeated at 7:30pm on Nick Jr. +1)!


"Puffin Rock" is a all-new pre-school animated TV show for 2–5-year-old's narrated by Irish actor Chris O'Dowd ("Bridesmaids", "Moone Boy", "The IT Crowd"). Set on a beautiful island off the coast of Ireland, nature and wildlife are central to the stories and visual style of the show, giving it a unique look and feel. The main characters are Oona and Baba, a cute sister and brother Puffling pair, whose daily adventures encourage learning and reflect pre-school challenges. They have a close group of friends who all help them in and out of trouble on a daily basis. Friendship and family relationships are core to "Puffin Rock".


"Puffin Rock" is co-produced by the Oscar nominated Irish animation studio Cartoon Saloon, Northern Irish children's media company Dog Ears, and global publisher Penguin.


Following the shows debut, a range of "Puffin Rock" books published by Penguin in 2016. A second series of "Puffin Rock" is already in production.

As narrator, Chris O'Dowd mixes amusing observations with interesting facts about the wildlife on the island. O'Dowd is excited about his first foray into children's TV: "I love the whole idea behind Puffin Rock and the style of the artwork. I can't wait to be involved in it, but then I do love anything with Puffins."


To celebrate Nick Jr. UK starting to show "Puffin Rock" from May 2015, Nick Jr. UK's official website, nickjr.co.uk, has launched the channels official "Puffin Rock" show webpage, which features information about the show, character information for Oona and Baba and their parents, Mama and Papa, Mossy the Pygmy Shrew, May the Rabbit, Silky the Seal-Pup, Otto the Owl and his little sister, Pip, and little brother, Pop - as well as exclusive online streaming clips and fun creative activities.

Commenting on Nick Jr. UK acquiring the broadcast rights to "Puffin Rock" in 2013, Tim Patterson, VP, Director of Programming – Nickelodeon UK, said: "Puffin Rock with its beautiful art style and charming storytelling is a perfect complement to the Nick Jr. schedule. It is a rich, gorgeous show and I am sure kids and their parents will be drawn into the programme’s beguiling world, but then I do love anything with rocks."


Pauline Macnamara, Executive Producer, Animation & Independent Commissioning RTÉ Young Peoples Programmes said: "Puffin Rock is a perfect fit for our new pre-school channel RTÉjr. We're delighted to be bringing stories of Irish coastal wildlife and environment to young Irish children through the world of Pip, Baba and friends. We're also excited about the creative talents Dog Ears and Cartoon Saloon have drawn together for this project. It bodes well for a very magical series which will capture the imaginations of children everywhere."
