What Did You Think of the New 'The Loud House' Episode 'Coupe Dreams'? | Nickelodeon Fan Poll

What did you think of the brand-new The Loud House episode "Friends in Dry Places"? Vote in the poll and sound off in the comments below!

'Danger Force' Director Hints At New Virtually Produced Special

Could there be a new Danger Force quarantine special in the pipeline?

The global COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic brought the entertainment industry to a standstill, with production on new shows, new episodes and new movies being halted. With quarantine in full effect, one way networks, including Nickelodeon has adapted in recent months is to produce special "virtually produced" episodes of shows, including Henry Danger spin-off Danger Force. In April, the cast of Nickelodeon's hit show, along with special guest Frankie Grande, who returned as the fan-favorite villain, Frankini, got together over the internet for a one-off special, "Quaran-kini".

With production on TV shows and movies just now beginning to resume, networks and studios are going to have a shortfall of new content in the coming months, however, it seems like one way to get new content on viewers' screens in more virtually produced episodes.

Danger Force director Mike Caron has hinted on Twitter that the cast and crew of Danger Force have been keeping busy lately by filming a new virtually produced special!:

In Danger Force, four kids–Chapa (Havan Flores), Miles (Terrence Little Gardenhigh), Mika (Dana Heath) and Bose (Luca Luhan)–are recruited to attend Swellview Academy for the Gifted (SW.A.G. for short), a school conceived by Captain Man (Cooper Barnes) and brought to life by Schwoz (Michael D. Cohen), after having been accidentally mutated in the fight to save Swellview. While there, the kids must learn to harness their frequently troublesome and sometimes uncontrollable superpowers as they begin to fight crime. Despite the dangerous circumstances of their new lives, the superheroes must keep their real identities a secret from both from their families and the villains who are out to destroy them. The series is a spin-off from Henry Danger.

Since its March 28 premiere, Nickelodeon’s latest live-action hit Danger Force has consistently posted double-digit gains in Live + 3 viewing. Most recently, a new episode (April 18, 2020) set a series record in Live + 3 posting a +75% increase with Kids 6-11 versus Live + SameDay viewership.

The series is created and executive-produced by Christopher J. Nowak (Henry Danger) and produced by Cooper Barnes and Jace Norman.

Are you ready, kids?! San Diego Comic-Con is virtual this year, but that's not stopping Nickelodeon's party at the Con. Usually a big presence on the exhibition floor — last year the network built the Krusty Krab from SpongeBob SquarePants for the show's 20th anniversary — they're taking all the announcements and fun online to celebrate Comic-Con@Home!

Credit: Paramount Pictures/Nickelodeon

In particular, Nick is sharing more information about their new, upcoming SpongeBob spin-off series, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years. The CG-animated prequel series features a much younger, porous SquarePants attending summer camp, Kamp Koral. It's there he meets Patrick and Squidward for the first time, and "spends the summer building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish, and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck."

The premiere date for the new series is still unannounced, but Nick is giving Bikini Bottom fans a chance to win one of eight exclusive 2020 San Diego Comic-Con Kamp Koral patches, featuring SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Gary, Plankton, and Kamp Koral.

SYFY WIRE has unveiled a spongeriffic first look at these beauties!:

Look at that tiny Patrick! And baby Gary! And Squidward... looks the same. (Fans have always expected that he was an adult from the time he escaped the egg.)

How can you get your potential tentacles on this sweet swag? On Wednesday, July 22, the Comic-Con@Home Online Exhibit Hall (and http://nick.com/kampkoralgiveaway) will go live, then you can click on Nickelodeon in the exhibitors list for how to enter to win these, and a whole bunch of other Nickelodeon swag, throughout the four days of the virtual con.

There might also be more news about the upcoming 13-episode first season of Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, voiced by original the cast including Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick Star), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy Cheeks), and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton).

Additionally, Carlos Alazraqui (The Casagrandes, Rocko's Modern Life) and Kate Higgins (Blaze and the Monster Machines) will join the cast as new characters Nobby and Narlene, narwhal siblings who live in the woods surrounding the camp.

Official show description:

"In Nickelodeon’s upcoming original series, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, a young SpongeBob SquarePants meets pals like Patrick and Squidward for the first time and spends the summer building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish, and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck at the craziest camp in the kelp forest, Kamp Koral."

'Avatar: The Legend of Korra' Goes Viral Over One Very Badly Timed 'SpongeBob' Ad

Avatar: The Last Airbender had plenty of dark moments to push forward its story, and its sequel capitalized on those themes in much the same way. When The Legend of Korra made its debut, fans were stunned by its gritty tone, and its ground-level take on a violet revolution shook many viewers to the core. Of course, few moments in the sequel shocked fans quite like the death of Hou-Ting, and her murder has resurfaced online thanks to its hilarious (and very inappropriate) mistake by Nickelodeon.

If you go back several years, you may remember watching The Legend of Korra live when the Earth Queen was killed. The demanding monarch had few friends in the kingdom, and she was never afraid to lock up those who opposed her. Uncaring for the public, Hou-Ting made lots of enemies thanks to her selfish ways, and that is why Zaheer ended up assassinating the Earth Queen in a brutal way.

After confronting the royal in the palace, Zaheer rededicated himself to anarchism when he used air bending to suffocate the queen. Hou-Ting had the breath from her lungs stolen away, and her final moments were tense. The only problem is that the episode's live airing included a terribly timed lower-third ad.

As you can see below, Nickelodeon had an ad coded in the episode set to pop-up at a specific time. It just so happens the time-coded was right when Hou-Ting was being murdered. So while the monarch stumbled to the ground out of breath, fans watched in delighted horror as SpongeBob SquarePants rose up to promote his show, laughing his SquarePants off. You can imagine how off-putting the ad felt given the episode's content at the time, and netizens admit they still remember this moment happening live even after all of these years. So if you thought The Legend of Korra wore kid gloves, you can think again.

Although fans did their own back by creating a fan-made lower-third graphic in which Korra laughs at a sad SpongeBob:

Did you watch The Legend of Korra live each week? Does this hilariously inappropriate moment ring a bell? Let me know in the comments!

-- The Bubble Guppies episode "The Police Cop-etition!" has been removed from the Nick Jr. App and Noggin SVOD service. The episode is still airing on the Nick Jr. channel, and is slated to next air on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The episode was replaced with episode "Come to Your Senses!"

-- The Tyler Perry's Young Dylan episode "The Enforcer" has been removed from the Nick App and Nickelodeon on Demand as well as for future airings. In the episode, Dylan starts a classroom protest over having to wear uniforms on his first day at school.
