Moody Gardens And Nickelodeon Reveal First Glimpse Of New "SpongeBob SquarePants" Holiday Ice Sculpture Attraction

Moody Gardens, a public, non-profit, educational destination utilizing nature in the advancement of rehabilitation, conservation, recreation, and research, has announced the exciting news in the following press release, from PR Newswire, that they have partnered with Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, to create the Gulf Coast's only holiday ice sculpture attraction featuring the world-renowned underwater characters from Nickelodeon's hit original animated series (Nicktoon) "SpongeBob SquarePants"! "ICE LAND: Ice Sculptures" with SpongeBob SquarePants will debut at the educational tourist destination located in Galveston, Texas on Saturday 15th November 2014 and offer a unique and interactive holiday experience through Sunday 4th January 2015. To celebrate, an image of one of the scenes was released today, Thursday 18th September 2014, offering the first opportunity for the public to see what the towering ice sculptures will look like.

A portion of the Moody Gardens central parking lot is the staging ground for a 28,000 square-foot, climate-controlled tent that will be chilled to a frosty nine degrees to house the most spectacular carved ice attraction on the Gulf Coast. An internationally acclaimed team of 28 artisan ice carvers from Harbin, China, will take 900 tons of ice and transform it into "SpongeBob SquarePants' Bikini Bottom" at holiday time, featuring SpongeBob, his pals and his Bikini Bottom neighborhood!

Guests will be on a real adventure as Plankton has another villainous plan up his sleeve. This time, not only does he want to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula, but he wants to ruin Christmas! Can SpongeBob save the holiday? Guests will find out as they witness the majestic marvels in "ICE LAND's" "SpongeBob SquarePants" experience.

The decision to feature the Bikini Bottom inhabitants for the inaugural year of "ICE LAND" was only fitting as the family-oriented message, marine life education and island setting are seen throughout the Moody Gardens property and mission statement. There was also a very positive response from guests to the "SpongeBob SquarePants" 4D film at the 4D Special FX Theater.

ICE LAND will be a frosty new addition to the Festival of Lights and other holiday attractions this year as Galveston makes its holiday transition into a Winter Wonder Island. Admission will be $26.95 for adults, $21.95 for seniors and $15.95 for children. Courtesy parkas will be distributed to each guest. For a list of peak, non-peak and group blackout dates, visit www.moodygardens.com/holidayschedule. Guests can also visit www.moodygardens.com/icelandwebcam to view the live "ICE LAND" web cam for a behind-the-scenes look at the construction process, as well as the ice carvings over the next few months.

In each weekly episode of "Footy Quacks", Nick and KiCK!'s quack-tastic match predicting feathered footie fans David Beakham and Quack Wilshere will be predicting the winner of the weekend's biggest Premier League game.

In the first episode, the Ducky's are predicting the outcome of the big game on Sunday 21st September 2014 between Manchester City and Chelsea! Both teams will want an early advantage in the title race, but who will win this Sunday? Find out who David Beakham and Quack Wilshere think will win in this epic video!

If you want to see more of these Ducky friends, catch Nickelodeon's QUAZY brand-new show "Breadwinners", weekdays at 4:30pm on NickToons, beginning Monday 22nd September 2014! Download the Nick App today for a sneak beak, and keep watching to find out if these ducks really know their footie, or if they are just QUACKERS! Follow the Duckies latest predictions at #FootyQuacks.

Nick's brand-new animated comedy "Breadwinners" is an original production from the Nickelodeon Animation Studio that follows SwaySway and Buhdeuce, two hilarious ducks who operate a bread delivery service out of their jet-fueled, Rocket Van, feeding hungry beaks everywhere.

Throughout the series SwaySway, the upbeat leader of the flock and his loyal best friend Buhdeuce go on riduckulous adventures together. From eating a loaf of 'Stank Bread' and getting lost on the lower yeastside, to record-beaking attempts for most bread deliveries in one day, nothing will stop this duo from making a delivery all while shaking their tail feathers.

For Duckies who can't wait, Nickelodeon UK will give Bread Heads a aweslime sneak beak by putting the first episode on the award-winning Nick App on Monday 15th September 2014. In the series premiere, "Thug Loaf", when SwaySway and Buhdeuce have to deliver bread to the bad part of Duck Town, they accidentally lock their keys in the Rocket Van and have to befriend a gang of Biker Ducks for help.

Steve Borst ("Teen Titans Go!", "MAD") and Gary "Doodles" Di Raffaele ("MAD", "Metalocalypse") teamed up to produce "Breadwinners" which was discovered as part of Nickelodeon's 2012 Animated Shorts Program. With inspiration taken from classic buddy-comedy animation, gaming and pop culture, this innovative new show introduces a duck duo who always keep their beaks up and their heads boppin'.

Viewers can play new game "Big Bread Booty Bash" on the Nick App, where players must complete a day of work as SwaySway and Buhdeuce without crashing, toasting or roasting. The Nick App also plays host to the 'Breadwinners Ducktionary' where viewers can brush up on their beak lingo.
