NEW YORK – Sept. 17, 2013 – Nick News with Linda Ellerbee hears from kids consumed by anxiety in the new half-hour special, "Worried Sick: Living With Anxiety," premiering on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. In the special, kids around the country share their stories of dealing with and managing their anxiety disorders.

"In an ever-more complicated world, more and more kids are feeling more and more anxious – yet anxiety disorders among kids are rarely taken seriously, even though they can lead to overeating, smoking, depression or drug use," says Ellerbee.

Dan, 17, of Chicago, Ill. says it all started with a panic attack. "I just couldn't get the thought of the anxiety and panic and all the stuff that was going on out of my head. I felt like I was going insane."

Tobias, 14, of Louisville, Ky. says he’s been worrying basically his entire life, but after his dad died his anxiety got worse. "I just pace around like, 'What's going on, what's going on, what's going on?’ It feels scary."

Owen, 15, of Bellingham, Wash. worries so much about his grades he’s had to stop going to school altogether. "I feel, like, really strongly about getting everything perfect. Like, if it's a test, I need to get 100% on it. If it's a paper, it needs to be, like, a perfect A."

Julianna, 15, of New York suffers from such extreme social anxiety disorder that she spent two months at a residential treatment center to learn to cope with it. "Facing your worst fears is terrifying. I felt that I was beyond help. Now I think I can get better. I know I can get better."

"House of Anubis" Star Jack Donnelly To Star In BBC One's Upcoming Family Fantasy Series "Atlantis"

The British national daily tabloid newspaper the Daily Mirror, also known as The Mirror, is reporting in an article on their official website, mirror.co.uk, the exciting news that Jack Donnelly, who played drama teacher Mr. Jason Winkler in the first season of Nickelodeon's hit mystery drama series "House of Anubis", will be starring in BBC One's brand new family fantasy Original British Drama series "Atlantis"!


According to Digital Spy, in Atlantis, Jack Donnelly plays Jason, a young hero who finds himself in the mythical city and briefs legendary figures Hercules (Mark Addy) and Pythagoras (Robert Emms).

On a personal quest, Jason encounters magic and fights monsters, while catching the eye of Ariadne (Aiysha Hart) - a princess and the daughter of the city's rulers, Pasiphae (Sarah Parish) and Minos (Alexander Siddig).

Jemima Rooper (Medusa) and Juliet Stevenson (The Oracle) also star in the upcoming drama, which will run for 13 weeks and is currently shooting its final episodes.

"Atlantis", which has been created by "Misfits" creator Howard Overman with "Merlin"'s Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy, will premiere on Saturday, September 28 on BBC One.

Nickelodeon UK, Character World And Argos Announce Winner Of Joint "SpongeBob SquarePants" Competition To Design Summer Themed SBSP Duvet

The licensing industry news website Licensing.biz is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products UK (NVCP UK) news in the following article that a ten-year-old "SpongeBob SquarePants" superfan has won a competition to design his very own SpongeBob duvet set - in association with Nickelodeon UK, the number one commercial kids' television channel in the UK, and the Stockport, UK-Based licensing company Character World!

Challenge was to design a Spongebob duvet set.

A ten year old Spongebob Squarepants super fans has won a competition to design his own Spongebob duvet set - in association with Nickelodeon UK and Character World.

James Dent from Cirencester beat hundreds to win the competition advertised in Argos, by designing a summer-themed Spongebob duvet. He is now working with professional product designers at Character World to bring his design to life for an exclusive, one of a kind duvet.

"James was a worthy winner, as he really brought Spongebob's fun character to life, with his surfing design," said Marianne James, VP of consumer products, UK & Ireland and European retail sales and marketing at Nickelodeon.
