Nickelodeon USA Announces Festive Preschool Programming Highlights To Celebrate The Holidays

Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced in the following press release, from TV By The Numbers, that, to celebrate this years holiday season, Nick USA will be treating tots with all-new episodes of holiday-themed preschool favorites. Preschoolers can unwrap the fun beginning Friday 6th December 2013 at 1:30p.m. (ET/PT), with a special episode of "Lalaloopsy" called "A Jolly Holly Holiday". Dance on over to Nick Jr. on Saturday 7th December 2013 at 10:00 a.m. (ET) for an all-new "Yo Gabba Gabba!", "DJ Lance's Super Music & Toy Room", featuring some of the biggest and brightest names in music. Later that evening, join the gang of "The Fresh Beat Band" for the premiere of "Snow Day" at 4:00p.m. (ET). On Thursday 12th December 2013 at 8:00p.m. (ET/PT), Santa Claus comes to Nickelodeon in a brand-new episode of "PAW Patrol" titled "Pups Save Christmas". Then, Peppa preps for a Christmas performance on Friday 20th December 2013 at 1:30p.m. (ET/PT), in the premiere of the all-new "Peppa Pig" episode "Mr. Potato's Christmas Show"!

Nickelodeon Nominated For Several Awards In The 41st Annie Awards

The Annie Awards has announced the fantastic Nickelodeon News on the organizations official website, annieawards.org, that the Nickelodeon Animation Studio and Nickelodeon Productions have been nominated for several awards in the 41st Annie Awards, an prestige annual awards show which honors the best in animation! The 2013 Annie Awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at UCLA's Royce Hall in Los Angeles, California, USA.

In the Production categories, Nickelodeon Preschools "Bubble Guppies
" and "Peter Rabbit" have been nominated for the "Best General Audience Animated TV/Broadcast Production For Preschool Children" award, and Nick Animation Studio's "Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness" and "The Legend of Korra" have been nominated for the "Best Animated TV/Broadcast Production For Children’s Audience" award.

Portuguese "Winx Club" Magazine Celebrates 100 Issues; Celebrates With Launch Of Competition To Win Trip On A Upcoming "Winx Cruise" In 2014

The licensing business news website Licensing.biz and World Screen, a publication which covers the international media business, are reporting the Winx-Tastic News that the Portuguese version of the "Winx Club" magazine, based on Nickelodeon and Rainbow S.r.l.'s popular brand aimed towards girls between the ages of 4 and 12, will be celebrating their 100th issue in December 2013, and to commemorate the occasion, the publication is giving readers the chance to win a very special all-expenses-paid trip on a upcoming "Winx Cruise"!

Portuguese "Winx Club" fans can enter the exclusive competition by submitting a picture that corresponds to the theme of the family cruise vacation, which is being run by cruise line MSC Cruise.

The "Winx Cruise" forms an important part of Rainbow's worldwide celebrations surrounding the "Winx Club" 10th anniversary in 2014.

Two special "Winx Cruise" trips are currently planned during 2014, one in Spring and one in the Autumn (Fall) back-to-school period.

Once on board, fans will be treated to a range of Winx-based activities including a Winx party, live events and meet and greets with characters from the show.

Set in the land of Gardenia, "Winx Club" follows fairy friends – Bloom, Flora, Musa, Tecna, Stella and Aisha as they spread fairy power and fight evil villains such as Tritannus and The Trix. Portuguese Winx Club magazine celebrates 100 issues

Readers can win a place on the Winx Cruise


The Portuguese Winx Club magazine will be celebrating 100 issues when the latest edition lands on shelves this month.

To celebrate, Winx Club is giving readers the chance to win a trip on the Winx Cruise.

Readers have to draw a picture that ties in the with the cruise theme and the winner takes the prize of an all expenses paid family trip on the Winx cruise.

The cruise forms an important part of worldwide celebrations surrounding the Winx Club 10th anniversary in 2014.

The special trip is being organised by MSC Cruise, with two trips currently planned, one in the spring and one in the autumn back to school period.

Once on board, fans will be treated to a range of Winx-based activities including a Winx party, live events and meet and greets with characters from the show.

Redan Publishing Launches First "Peppa Pig" Digital Magazine

The licensing business news website Licensing.biz is reporting the exciting Nick Jr. News in the following article that Redan Publishing has extended its partnership with the international entertainment business Entertainment One Family to launch their first digital "Peppa Pig" magazine.

The new digital format - based on Nick Jr.'s hit animated preschool series "Peppa Pig" and the popular "Fun To Learn Peppa Pig Bag-O-Fun Magazine" - will be available on the Apple Newsstand from today (Wednesday 4th December 2013).

Published once a month, each issue of the magazine will include free-hand colouring sections, character voices and a story running throughout with interactive activities incorporated and an educational focus.

Redan will be utilising tablet magazine software from FutureFolio to deliver a series of activities designed for both kids and adults to engage with the "Peppa Pig" property.

Redan Publishing has extended its partnership with Entertainment One to launch its first digital Peppa Pig magazine.

The new digital format - based on the popular Fun To Learn Peppa Pig Bag-O-Fun Magazine - will be available on the Apple Newsstand from today.

Each month the magazine will include free-hand colouring sections, character voices and story running throughout with interactive activities incorporated and an educational focus.

Redan will be utilising tablet magazine software from FutureFolio to deliver a series of activities designed for both kids and adults to engage with the Peppa Pig property.

Julie Jones, managing director of Redan Publishing, said: "We are very excited to be able to offer a truly interactive version of our hugely successful FTL Peppa Pig Bag-O-Fun magazine.

"We wanted to deliver a publication that adds something different and special to the printed magazine and not just a simple pdf version. This was quite a challenge, knowing that children are among the most demanding and savvy users of tablets.
