Nickelodeon Developing Potential Brand New Country Music-Themed Comedy Series "Twang" With "True Jackson, VP" Creator Andy Gordon

The entertainment news website Deadline.com is reporting the exciting Nick News that Nickelodeon has signed a deal with comedy writer-producer Andy Gordon, the creator and executive producer of Nick's popular fashion-themed sitcom "True Jackson, VP", to develop a potential brand new original comedy series called "Twang" (working title)!

"Twang" will be a 30-minute country-themed multi-camera comedy about the four semi-spoiled children of a country music star who are relocated from their privileged life in Los Angeles, California, USA, to their mother's childhood home in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee.

Gordon serves as co-executive producer on TV Land's upcoming Kirstie Alley sitcom "Kirstie". He was recently an executive producer on ABC's "Last Man Standing" and previously worked on Fox's "The Loop" and "Back To You", plus the 1986 series of "Dennis the Menace", "Get a Life", "Mad About You", "Dream On", "NewsRadio", "Just Shoot Me!", the Nickelodeon UK show "Complete Savages", "Hot Properties" and "DAG":

Comedy writer-producer Andy Gordon has set up half-hour projects at Fox and Nickelodeon. At Fox, he has Falling Into Place, a multi-camera ensemble comedy about five college friends who, four or five years out of college, each experiences a loss and tries to overcome it. 20th TV is producing. At Nickelodeon, where Gordon previously created and executive produced True Jackson VP, he has country-themed multi-camera comedy Twang, about the four semi-spoiled children of a country music star who are relocated from their privileged life in Los Angeles to their mother’s childhood home in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. UTA-repped Gordon serves as co-executive producer on TV Land’s upcoming Kirstie Alley sitcom Kirstie. Nickelodeon's "Swindle" Takes The Top Spot With Kids And Tweens For The Week, Draws 4.2 Million Total Viewers For Nick USA

Nickelodeon, one of the world's leading entertainment brands for kids and families, has announced, in the following press release from TVbytheNumbers, that the brand new Nickelodeon Original TV Movie "Swindle" helped Nick USA continue its ratings roll by winning the week with all kid and tween demos and drawing 4.2 million total viewers during its Saturday 24th August 2013 8-10 p.m. ET/PT primetime premiere! The two-hour comedy caper also posted high triple-digit year over year gains, averaging a 7.0/2.3M K2-11 (+218%), 10.0/2.0M K6-11 (+281%) and 8.5/1.7M with T9-14 (+270%) and also scored massive increases with total viewers (+213%). Bolstered by "Swindle"'s solid ratings performance Nickelodeon won the week across all TV and posted year over year increases with kids 2-11 (3.2/1.0M; +28%). The network also topped cable with total viewers (2.0M; +22%) for the week.


Additionally, Nickelodeon USA closed the month of August 2013 with year over year increases with K2-11 (+7%) and Nick at Nite, Nickelodeon USA's nighttime programming block (stylized as nick@nite), also posted double-digit increases for the month with A18-49 (+67%).

Nickelodeon will begin to launch and start to premiere and show "Swindle" on Nickelodeon's 40+ international channels across Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia, including Nickelodeon UK and Ireland, in 2014.

Swindle features an ensemble cast: Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande from Sam & Cat; Noah Crawford and Chris O’Neal from How to Rock; Ciara Bravo from Big Time Rush; and iCarly’s Noah Munck. The TV movie, is based on the popular children’s book of the same name by Gordon Korman, and centers around an evil collector that cons Griffin (Crawford) out of a million dollar baseball card that could have saved his best friend’s (O’Neal) home, so he unites a ragtag group of his classmates (McCurdy, Grande, Bravo and Munck) to take down the swindler. It's an adventure that will take them through daring heists, crazy disguises and pie fight face-off – but throughout it all, the kids have to bring their skills together as a team to get justice.

Nickelodeon Poland To Premiere New "Victorious" Season 4 Episodes Every Saturday And Sunday From 31st August 2013

The Polish television news website naziemna.info is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon Europe News that Nickelodeon Poland (also known as Nickelodeon Polska) has announced that Nick Poland will be premiering and showing brand new episodes from season four of the hit Nickelodeon original musical comedy show "Victorious", locally titled "Victoria znaczy zwycięstwo", every Saturday and Sunday at 7:45pm (19:45) from Saturday 31st August 2013 and Sunday 1st September 2013!

Although unconfirmed, it is expected that Nick Poland will premiere the series finale episode of "VICTORiOUS", "Victori-Yes", before the channel holds the Polish premiere of Nickelodeon's "iCarly" and "Victorious" spin-off series, "Sam & Cat", on Saturday 28th September 2013 at 8.10pm (20:10):
"VICTORIA ZNACZY ZWYCIĘSTWO"

Ostatni sezon przygód Victorii "Tori" już niedługo. Główna bohaterka ozdobiła swoją szkolną szafkę plakatem z napisem "Make it shine", przypominającym o jej największym marzeniu - zostaniu gwiazdą.

Po tym, jak Tori wystąpiła na dorocznym konkursie talentów jej życie zupełnie się zmieniło. Udowodniła, że ma piękny głos i wielki talent. W nagrodę dziewczyna dostaje możliwość uczęszczania do elitarnej Hollywood Arts High School - szkoły, w której uczą się utalentowane artystycznie nastolatki. Stamtąd już tylko krok do wielkiego sukcesu i spełnienia marzeń! W finałowym sezonie okaże się, czy Tori zdobędzie upragnioną sławę.

Choć serial dobiega końca, dla fanów bohaterów serialu Nickelodeon przygotował niespodziankę. Widzowie mogli śledzić losy Cat (granej przez Arianę Grande), w nowym serialu "Sam i Cat", w którym wystąpi również niepokorna Sam (Jennette McCurdy) z "iCarly".
