Nickelodeon's Hit Global App, "SpongeBob Moves In", Spreads Yuletide Greetings This Holiday Season

Nickelodeon has today, Monday 16th December 2013, announced in the following press release, from TVbytheNumbers, the exciting Nick News that the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families has given their hit global city building app based on the networks hit original animated series (Nicktoon) "SpongeBob SquarePants", called "SpongeBob Moves In", a festive makeover to celebrate the holidays!


"SpongeBob Moves In" gets in to the holiday spirit with a brand-new update featuring new characters; buildings; recipes and decorations. In this update, a mysterious diminutive figure is turning Santa's elves into jerks, and players need to help SpongeBob keep them happy by serving up their favorite treats to increase the town's holiday cheer.

Additional Game Features Include:

* New Characters: Santa's elves move in to make toys and MechaSpongeBob rampages through the town.

In SpongeBob Moves In players can customize the look of their undersea city with a variety of characters, buildings, and accessories. In the ongoing quest to keep Bikini Bottom inhabitants happy by fulfilling their wishes, players must collect happiness to fill the town’s happiness meter. Residents wish for food and gifts from the various Bikini Bottom restaurants and shops, like Krabby Patties from the Krusty Krab or a bouquet of flowers from the Flower Shop. Once their wish is granted a treasure chest will appear for the player to open and collect gold coins, happiness or a new recipe to add to their collection. When the happiness meter is filled, players advance to the next level in the game, earning coins, game experience and unlocking more quests, buildings and accessories to buy in the store.

Nickelodeon USA To Premiere Brand New Magical Series "Every Witch Way" On Wednesday 1st January 2014

A magical event is coming to Nickelodeon USA, and it's only here for one month! Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced on their all-new official "Every Witch Way" website on nick.com the exciting Nickelodeon News that Nick USA will start to premiere and show the networks brand new fantasy television series "Every Witch Way" (40 episodes X 30:00 minutes), which is based on Nickelodeon Latin America's "Grachi", every weeknight starting from Wednesday 1st January 2014 (New Years Day)!


"Every Witch Way" is about Emma Alonso, a teenage girl has to deal with moving to a new town, growing up and falling in love... all while realizing that she's a witch with magical powers. Emma Alonso the new girl at Iridium High, who's found out that she has secret powers as a witch. The show follows Emma trying to juggle making brand new friends whilst learning to control her witch powers! However, Emma soon finds out she's not the only magical one in school...


Emma, nicknamed the Glitter Queen, might be new to Iridium High, but she's already turning heads. And that's not just because she accidentally turned her best friend into a goat... oops. She's bubbly, trusting and wants to use her new witch powers responsibly. That is, when she can control them. Emma's favorite quote is "There's a little bit of magic in everyone!", and is a fan of glitter, tulips and smiles.

Maddie Van Pelt - When Maddie "Queen B" Van Pelt walks by, people shiver in fear! She's the scariest, most popular girl in school. As the leader of the Panthers, she's not afraid to fight for what she wants... Daniel included. Her powers have been passed down from generations so she's NOT giving up her spot as top witch to some new girl in town. GAME ON! Maddie's favourite quote is "Panthers rule the school", and is a fan of shoes, cheerleading and Daniel, whilst she hates everyone. And arugula.

Daniel Miller - Daniel Miller is an all star at Iridium High. He's smart, sporty and popular. But he's still humble! He's totally against cheating and yes, magic counts as cheating. Even though tons of girls are fighting for his attention, he's crushing on someone new... Daniel's nickname is Most Valuable Player (MVP), favorite quote is "Cheaters never win". Daniel also likes sports, logic and singing, and hates lying, bullies and losing.

Andi Cruz - It's pretty obvious that Andi "Tank Girl" Cruz is fearless. She's the only girl member of the Sharks! She's Emma's BFF and the ultimate tomboy. She gets straight A's in sarcasm, but deep down she admires Emma's positive attitude. Andi is just your average girl. Until she finds out her best friend is a witch, that is. Andi's favorite quote is "It's cool to be different". She also likes Zombies, sharks, more zombies, and hates: Homework, darkness and pink.

Tony Myers (portrayed by actor Kendall Ryan Sanders) - Tony Myers isn't just a member of the Sharks. He's also a mathlete and an amateur magician. Once he pulled a potato out of a hat instead of a rabbit, but that's beside the point. He's a great pal to Emma, but secretly, he has a major crush on her. Don't tell! Tony's nickname is Criss Angel Wannabe. His favorite quote is "Abracadabro! That's not right... Abracadabra!". He also likes math and street magic hates snow days, no homework and arugula.

Diego Rueda - Diego Rueda is the only boy at Iridium High with special powers. He's a "Churi Kanay" or "the Son of Fire". This means he can control the elements! Figuring out how to fit in while making fire with his hands? Now that's tough. Diego's favorite quote is "A loyal friend is a true friend", and he likes cleaning, condiments and looking awesome, and he hates studying, dirt and unseasoned food.

Mac Davis (played by actor Mavrick Moreno) - Mac Davis is the smelliest member of the Sharks. Hey, who needs a shower when you're on the swim team? Mac is super energetic and loves to live life in the spotlight. That's probably why Diego picked him as his best bud! Mac's nickname is Soap-A-Phobic, his favorite quote is "Let's go Sharks!, he likes the Sharks, aardvarks and seafood, and hates: Soap, shampoo and arugula.

"Miss Information" - If someone is hiding a secret, Gigi Rueda will sniff it out! She's the queen of gossip and posts all she knows on her blog, "Miss Information", AKA the most read blog at Iridium High. It's pretty easy to keep the news coming, too. Weird stuff happens at this school. Lots of weird stuff. Gigi's favorite quote is "You'll NEVER guess what I just heard". She likes information, smart phones and paparazzi, and hates gossip. And arugula.

Sophie Johnson - Sophie Johnson may say silly things sometimes, but that doesn't mean she can't be one of the Panthers! In fact, she fits right in. When she's not following Maddie's lead 24/7, she's marching to the beat of her own tone-deaf drummer. Sophie's nickname is Dreamer Panther, favorite quote is ".....". Sophie also whatever Maddie said, and hates... what?

Katie Rice (portrayed by actress Denisea Wilson) - She may act clueless, but in reality, Katie Rice is one of the smartest girls in school. That's probably why she's so great at being Maddie's number two. She always keeps the Panthers in check, but secretly she dreams of leading one day. Just don't tell Maddie. Katie's nickname is "Second in Command" and her favorite quote is "I love clothes". Katie likes school, Panthers and pretending, and hates not being the head Panther.

Nickelodeon Names Sharon Cohen Executive Vice President, Partnership Marketing

Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced in the following Press Release, from Nickelodeon's Kids and Family Press Site, NickPress.com, the promotion of Sharon Cohen to Executive Vice President (EVP), Partnership Marketing, Nickelodeon Group. The announcement was made today, Monday 16th December 2013, by Pam Kaufman, Chief Marketing Officer and President of Consumer Products, to whom she will continue to report.

In her new role, Cohen is assuming oversight of the Events Marketing and Partnership Marketing teams, while continuing to head up the Integrated Marketing team. She will serve as the primary liaison between Ad Sales, Marketing, Programming, Consumer Products and Retail departments, leading cross functional marketing teams to drive relevant marketing activities for Nickelodeon. Cohen is also responsible for building innovative and strategic opportunities to work with advertising, recreation, sports and content partners across multiple lines of business and screens and mapping out key marketing partnership relationships for the network.

In her previous role as Senior Vice President (SVP), Integrated Marketing, Cohen spearheaded Nickelodeon's Integrated Marketing group, working with ad sales as well as consumer products, programming, digital, and production to develop new revenue-generating promotional opportunities across Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, Nick Jr., Nicktoons, and TeenNick. In this position, Cohen guided the teams that delivered key partnerships for Nickelodeon's signature annual events, including, "Kids' Choice Awards", "TeenNick HALO Awards" and "Worldwide Day of Play" ("WWDoP"), as well as the creation of compelling integrated marketing campaigns including the 2014 SpongeBob Toyota Highlander; the Old Navy "Multiply Your Style" back-to-school program which starred "Sam & Cat" stars Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande, the Play with Your Birds Eye Veggies promotion and the United States Tennis Association Ten and Under Tennis campaign, which marked the network's first-ever sports-related integrated marketing deal.

Cohen has held several positions within Nickelodeon during her 21-year tenure with the network. Nickelodeon UK To Premiere "Mia and Me" On Saturday 4th January 2014

The online British and Irish TV guide website Digiguide is reporting the exciting Nick UK news that Nickelodeon UK and Ireland and Nickelodeon HD UK, the number one commercial kids TV network in the UK, will start to premiere and show the popular live action/CGI animated hybrid fantasy television series "Mia and Me" every Saturday and Sunday (Weekends) at 7:00am (replayed at 8:00am on Nick UK's plus-one timeshift channel, Nick+1) from Saturday 4th January 2014, as part of "2014 on Nickelodeon UK"!

Nickelodeon UK acquired the rights to "Mia and Me" from the Italian animation studio Rainbow S.r.l. ("Winx Club", "Huntik: Secrets & Seekers") in November 2013.

Nick.co.uk is expected to unveil their brand new official "Mia & Me" show website to celebrate the debut on Nick UK & Eire soon.


"Mia and Me" follows the adventures of a 12-year-old girl who leads a double life in a magical land filled with unicorns. The story begins when a girl named Mia, whose parent's tragically died when she was young, goes to a boarding school in Italy. Mia's aunt gives Mia a game that her father, a successful game maker, made before he died. Through the game, Mia finds herself hurled into the wondrous world of Centopia, full of elves, unicorns, pans and dragons. But the once idyllic kingdom is in danger. Evil Queen Panthea seeks to capture the unicorns and harness their power to keep her self young. The valiant elves, led by Prince Mo and daring warrior Yuko, plus Pan Phuddle, fight to stop her. NickToons UK To Debut Season Two Of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" On Saturday 11th January 2014

The online British and Irish TV guide website Digiguide is reporting the Booyakasha TMNT News that Nickelodeon UK has announced that Nick UK's animation and action channel, Nicktoons UK and Ireland, will start to premiere and show brand new episodes from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" season 2 every Saturday at 9:30am from Saturday 11th January 2014, continuing the shell-raising crime-fighting adventures of the four mutant Heroes in a Half-Shell turtles — Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo! NickToons UK & Eire will repeat each brand new episode the same day at 6:00pm!


Season two ninja kicks off with a bang in the premiere episode, "The Mutation Situation". In the episode, the Turtles discover that the alien Kraang survived their previous showdown and now have dropped mutagen canisters all over NYC. Throughout the season, the Turtles' mission is to recover the canisters before more mutants can be created. Meanwhile, the Kraang and Shredder have united to put an end to the Turtles once and for all, which results in some very scary characters coming after the brothers. With Casey Jones' help, the Turtles take on some of the most bizarre and dangerous villains they have ever seen, all the while trying to unravel the mystery regarding April O'Neil and her importance to the Kraang.

Season two stars Sean Astin ("Lord of the Rings") as Raphael, Rob Paulsen ("Planet Sheen") as Donatello, Greg Cipes ("Teen Titans") as Michelangelo, Jason Biggs ("Orange is the New Black") as Leonardo, Mae Whitman ("Parenthood") as April O'Neil, Hoon Lee ("Royal Pains") as Master Splinter and Kevin Michael Richardson ("Penguins of Madagascar") as Shredder.
