'Double Dare Live' to Visit Rosemont Theatre in Illinois in November 2018

Rosemont, IL - Nickelodeon's Double Dare Live will make Rosemont Theatre a stop on its nationwide tour in November 2018!


Tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 24, for the show inspired by Nickelodeon's iconic television game show Double Dare. OG host Marc Summers and his trusty sidekick Robin Russo will be with the show Nov. 10 at the Rosemont Theatre.

"Hosting the Double Dare Live tour couldn't be any more exciting, and I look forward to bringing the fun and messiness of Double Dare to audiences across the country," Summers said in a statement. "Doing the show again with my sidekick Robin will fulfill childhood dreams of the generation that grew up with us and introduce this classic show to the next generation."

Double Dare Live will feature two teams with selected audience members competing to win prizes by answering difficult trivia questions. The participants also will need to complete messy physical challenges and face an obstacle course.

Double Dare premiered on Oct. 6, 1986, on Nickelodeon, and ran from 1986-1993, making it the network’s longest running game show. Shortly after its debut, Double Dare became one of the most popular original daily programs on cable television. The series went into syndication in 1988, and was later revamped as Super Sloppy Double Dare in 1989. The show also ran on broadcast television as Family Double Dare in 1988, followed by new versions on Nick, including Double Dare 2000. Nickelodeon's brand-new Double Dare series, hosted by Liza Koshy and featuring Marc Summers giving color commentary, returns with brand-new episodes this Fall on Nickelodeon!

Nickelodeon Consumer Products Argentina Hosts Business Event for Partners

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Americas recently held an event in Buenos Aires to celebrate the launch of Nickelodeon Consumer Products Argentina, the division of Viacom that oversees all merchandising and retail operations for Nickelodeon in the country, following it's launch in January 2018. The event, which introduced the team who are responsible for building Nickelodeon's licensing business in Argentina was well attended by strong business partners, managers, trade press and members of Viacom International Media Networks' Consumer Products teams from all around the world.


The team outlined the key Nickelodeon properties that Nickelodeon Consumer Products Argentina will be focusing on throughout 2019 and 2020, in which they'll develop incredible product lines and innovative promotional campaigns that will see popular Nickelodeon characters leap from the TV screens and into the homes of viewers, allowing fans across multiple generations to connect with their favourite Nickelodeon shows and characters. Among the properties and campaigns that Nickelodeon Consumer Products Argentina will be focusing on throughout 2019 and 2020 are: El Ascenso de las Tortugas Ninja (Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Nickelodeon's brand-new 2D-animated TMNT series which reimagines the iconic characters in a fresh new way; Sunny Day; Top Wing; PAW Patrol; Nella, Una Princesa Valiente (Nella the Princess Knight); and the 20th anniversary of Bob Esponja (SpongeBob SquarePants).

Raph, Leo, Donnie and Mikey emerge from the sewers and tap into undiscovered ninja powers in Nickelodeon's reimagined, 2D-animated series Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, making its world debut on Monday 17th September 2018 on Nickelodeon USA. The action-comedy series follows the band of brothers as they discover new powers and encounter a mystical world they never knew existed beneath the streets of New York City. Following its US launch, the series will roll out globally across Nickelodeon's channels and branded blocks in 170+ countries and territories.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles follows the Turtles on all-new adventures as they master new powers, encounter absurd mutants and battle bizarre villains, each with their own motivations. Ranging from mystics, mutants and madmen, new creatures and villains emerge to take on Raph, Leo, Donnie and Mikey in battles across New York City. From the tallest skyscraper to the dankest sewer drain, the brothers learn to work together and navigate the perils of New York City and the hidden realms below in order to fulfill their destiny to become a team of heroes.

In the half-hour launch episode, "Mystic Mayhem," the Turtles discover for the first time that they're not the weirdest things in New York.

Nickelodeon’s serialized live-action show I Am Frankie returns on Monday 3rd September 2018 at 20:00 CAT / 19:00 WAT / 21:00 EAT, continuing the story of Frankie Gaines (Alex Hook), a cutting-edge, experimental android who looks like any other human girl, but harbors a big secret--she functions as a high-tech computer with internet access, extensive memory and more. A New York City apartment building holds mysteries and adventures behind every door in Welcome to the Wayne. Created and written by Emmy® Award-winning writer and composer Billy Lopez (The Wonder Pets) and executive produced by Emmy Award-winning creative executive Michael Pecoriello (Yu-Gi-Oh!), the 20-episode series follows three kids as they explore their strange and fantastical apartment building, the Wayne, where nothing is what it seems.

Welcome to the Wayne follows the comedic adventures of three friends, Ansi Molina, Olly Timbers, and Saraline Timbers, as they aim to unlock the secrets of the Wayne. Each new investigation brings them face-to-face with new characters, creatures, and oddities, known as “Wayne Phenomena,” leading them closer to uncovering the truth about the weird things happening in their building.

Billy Lopez is an Emmy-winning writer and composer from New York City. He has written for shows including Phineas and Ferb and South Park and been head writer on several preschool shows, including The Wonder Pets!, 3rd & Bird! and PBS’s Peg + Cat. Lopez also co-created an adult sitcom for ABC Studios. Michael Pecoriello is an Emmy Award-winning creative leader. Sydney, 13 August, 2018­ – Nickelodeon is bringing back the original kids’ game show Double Dare, starting Monday, 3rd of September at 6pm AEST – giving a new generation of fans the chance to compete in the messiest and most physically challenging competition of their lives. With Double Dare remaining an iconic touchstone for its original millennial audiences, the new version will feature the gameplay and challenges they remember, as well as appearances from blasts from the past and stars from today.

Double Dare features two teams competing to win prizes by answering brain-bending trivia questions, completing messy, physical stunts and ultimately facing the infamous obstacle course–the human hamster wheel; the classic gigantic mouth; the wringer; and the iconic Double Dare nose.


Digital creator and actress Liza Koshy, with over 15 million YouTube followers, is the host the brand-new version of Double Dare, with the original US series host Marc Summers returning to give commentary on the challenges and lending his vast knowledge of the game and expertise to each episode.

Double Dare premiered on Oct. 6, 1986 in US, on Nickelodeon, and ran from 1986-1993, making it the network’s longest running game show. Marc Summers served as the show’s original host from 1986-1993. Shortly after its debut, Double Dare became one of the most popular original daily programs on cable television. The series went into syndication in 1988, which included a local series in Australia. The show was later revived in the US as Super Sloppy Double Dare in 1989. The show also ran on broadcast television as Family Double Dare in 1988, followed by new versions on Nick, including Double Dare 2000.


Double Dare will air on Nickelodeon (Foxtel channel 701, Fetch channel 146) for 2 weeks at 6pm starting Monday, 3rd September.

CANADA - Get ready for a fall full of Double Dare! YTV will start to premiere Nickelodeon's brand-new version of Double Dare on Friday, September 7, kicking off with two all-new episodes back-to-back from 6:00pm ET/PT!

Inspired by Nickelodeon's iconic '80s game show, digital creator and actress Liza Koshy has been tapped to host the iteration of Double Dare, where a new generation of fans will compete in the messiest and most physically challenging competition of their lives.

Bringing together new fans and the iconic game show’s millennial audience from the ‘90s, original series host Marc Summers returns to give color commentary on the challenges, lending his vast knowledge of the game and expertise to each episode.


Said Koshy, “This is a dream that I have been dreaming to live! From watching Double Dare to hosting it!? I am ready for a summer of slime and nose picking.”

Said Summers, “I can’t think of many shows like Double Dare that have the ability to bond people together--those who grew up watching the original series can now pass along their love for this game show to today’s kids. It’s an honor to be a part of this reboot.”

Double Dare features two teams competing to win prizes by answering brain-bending trivia questions, completing messy physical stunts and ultimately facing the legendary obstacle course--the human hamster wheel, the classic gigantic mouth, the wringer, the iconic Double Dare nose and more.

Double Dare premiered on Oct. 6, 1986, on Nickelodeon, and ran from 1986-1993, making it the network’s longest running game show. Marc Summers served as the show’s original host from 1986-1993. Shortly after its debut, Double Dare became one of the most popular original daily programs on cable television. The series went into syndication in 1988, and was later revived as Super Sloppy Double Dare in 1989. The show also ran on broadcast television as Family Double Dare in 1988, followed by new versions on Nick, including Double Dare 2000.

Double Dare is produced for Nickelodeon by FremantleMedia North America. Marc Summers is Executive Producer. Liza Koshy is Executive Producer. Peter Herschko and Josh Silberman will serve as Executive Producers.

Nickelodeon Poland To Premiere 'Blurt!' On Saturday 25th August 2018

NICKELODEON POLAND TO PREMIERE NEW ORIGINAL TV MOVIE, BLURT, ON SATURDAY 25TH AUGUST 2018

Nickelodeon Poland (Polska) will premiere a new original TV movie, Blurt (formerly Inside Voice) when the channel comes back on-air following Dzień Zabawy 2018, Nickelodeon Polska's local version of Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play on Saturday 25th August 2018 at 16:00, starring Jace Norman (Niebezpieczny Henryk, Adam i jego klony, Rufus), JoJo Siwa (Lip Sync Battle Shorties) and Daniella Perkins (Knight Squad). The live-action comedy tells the story of Jeremy Martin (Jace Norman) who, after a comical virtual reality mishap, starts speaking every thought he has out loud and to complicate matters, he happens to be running in the school election. The film is locally titled Myślotok in Poland.

Jeremy Martin is a nice-guy and when he puts on mysterious virtual reality glasses at the mall, he suddenly loses his “inside voice” and starts spouting every thought he has out loud. Making matters worse, Jeremy is running for student council president against his classmate Milly (Daniella Perkins), who is full of great ideas to improve the school. Desperate to get back to normal, Jeremy and his sister Victoria (JoJo Siwa) must figure out how to convince his brain that he can speak up for himself. Can they do it, or will Jeremy be stuck saying his thoughts out loud forever?!


The virtual reality sequences featured in the movie are being developed and created by Nickelodeon’s Entertainment Lab, the network’s new division spearheading long-range research and development efforts around new technologies for Nick and its audience. Blurt is the second on-air project fed through the lab, following Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library.

Blurt is executive produced by Scott McAboy and Michael Sammaciccia. Amy Sydorick is serving as producer. Jace Norman is serving as co-producer. The TV movie was written by Adrian Vina (Mów mi Wampir) and is directed by Michelle Johnston (Another Cinderella Story: If The Shoe Fits).



Blurt made its world debut on Nickelodeon USA on Monday 19th February 2018, and is currently rolling out on Nickelodeon channels worldwide.
