Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl: Nintendo Switch Will Get Major Update on Nov. 4

Following Nickelodeon all-Star Brawl's initial release last month, there have been a few significant patches that have dropped for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game. However, the Nintendo Switch version of the platform brawler is still currently locked to update 1.0.1. This is the day 1 patch that rolled out for all platforms. However, that's about to change!

Thaddeus Crews, Ludosity developer for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, has confirmed that Nintendo Switch players will soon be updated to the same version of the game as the other platforms. The patch is scheduled to drop on November 4, 2021 — this Thursday.

"FINALLY can confirm that the Nintendo Switch version is getting the patch this Thursday," said Crews over Twitter this week. "This will bring the same fixes and features as the versions currently on PC and other consoles."

The upcoming patch will increase the directional influence (DI) window, remove several infinite combos from the game, and also add dash dancing, said Crews.

Predictably, there have been a number of issues in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl that have cropped up since the game's initial release. While many of these issues have been directly addressed on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions, Nintendo Switch owners have still been dealing with these problems.

At this point, it's been accepted that Michelangelo was the strongest character in the day 1 patch version of the game. This was mostly thanks to the properties of his neutral light aerial and his ability to stall out games with his infinite jump cancellable down special.

Sandy Cheeks from SpongeBob SquarePants series also served as a problem for the game as it was impossible to perform a tech (quick get up action) against her jab combo in certain circumstances. This made Sandy Cheeks extremely obnoxious to fight against as she basically had an inescapable infinite combo.

Crews also provided a breakdown of each update introduced so far, explained which version is running on each platform, and gave a peek at what’s to come in future patches:

• 1.0.0 - Day 1 Patch (current for Switch)
• 1.0.1 - Jablock Infinite Removal
• 1.0.2 - DI Adjustment, Dash Dancing (current, upcoming for Switch)
• 1.0.3 - Hurtbox Adjustment, Initial Dash Boost (upcoming)
• 1.0.4 - Hitbox Adjustment, [REDACTED]
• 1.0.0β - Release version

Below is a list of all patch notes we should expect for the Nintendo Switch version on Thursday. Note that these notes come from what was changed on other platforms. There are no new changes listed below:
