Nick News Brief: Nickelodeon UK & Ireland has acquired the rights to the second season of the popular CG-animated series Kangaroo Beach, with plans to air the new season on Nick Jr. in 2025. Additionally, it has been announced that a third season is currently in production.

Described as "Baywatch for kids," in Kangaroo Beach, four young animal friends - Pounce the kangaroo, Frizzy the koala, Neville the wombat and Gemma the platypus - share an action-packed summer at a spectacular beach, training as junior cadets with their lifeguard heroes - learning to surf, scuba dive and rescue stranded swimmers. Chockfull of warm, relatable characters, comedy and heart, the series introduces a young audience to life-saving water safety. Season one debuted on Nick Jr. UK & Eire during Summer 2021.
Kangaroo Beach is created by Tim Bain (Digby Dragon, Thomas & Friends, Bluey, Fireman Sam), written by Bain, Charlotte Rose Hamlyn, Simon Dodd, and Samantha Carroll, and directed by David Webster. Celine Goetz serves as a producer, with Patrick Egerton serving as the executive producer. The series is produced by Cheeky Little Media and distributed by the Australian Children's Television Foundation (ACTF).
NEW DAYTIME DRAMA SERIES BEYOND THE GATES TO PREMIERE MONDAY, FEB. 24, 2025 ON CBS

CBS announced today (Nov. 12) that BEYOND THE GATES, the new daytime drama series and debut project from the CBS Studios/NAACP Venture, will premiere Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, and air weekdays (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; 1:00-2:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+*.
The series began production in Atlanta, Ga., this month and stars Tamara Tunie, Clifton Davis, Daphnee Duplaix, Karla Mosley, Alex Alegria, Lauren Buglioli, Brandon Claybon, Timon Kyle Durrett, Sean Freeman, Ben Gavin, Marquita Goings, Jibre Hordges, Jen Jacob, Maurice Johnson, Trisha Mann-Grant, Mike Manning, RhonniRose Mantilla, Ambyr Michelle, Colby Muhammad and Arielle Prepetit.
BEYOND THE GATES is set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington, D.C., and in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States. Here you’ll find a posh gated community with winding tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions to call home. At the center of this community are the Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty. But behind these pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered. And those who live outside these gates are watching closely. These are the places where our characters live, love, work and play. Those who have “made it” and those who haven’t are all trying to navigate life … and some with more grace than others.
BEYOND THE GATES is developed and produced by the CBS Studios/NAACP Venture, led by Sheila Ducksworth, in partnership with P&G Studios, a division of Procter & Gamble. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution. This marks the first-ever one-hour Black daytime soap and the first daytime drama to premiere since Passions in 1999.
Michele Val Jean is the creator, executive producer and showrunner alongside executive producers Sheila Ducksworth, Robert Guza Jr., Julie Carruthers, Leon W. Russell, Derrick Johnson, Kimberly Doebereiner and Anna Saalfeld.

In Henry Danger The Movie, Henry Danger (Jace Norman) meets a superfan—eager to fight crime with Kid Danger—who comes into possession of a device that can open up alternate realities. Facing a wild ride, Henry will need his best friend Jasper (Sean Ryan Fox) and his new superfan sidekick to find his way out or be stuck in another dimension forever.
The movie also stars original series cast members Ella Anderson, as “Piper Hart,” Michael D. Cohen, as “Schwoz,” and Frankie Grande, as “Frankini,” as well as new cast member, Glee Dango, as “Missy Martin/Superfan.”

Henry Danger The Movie will be available to stream in the U.S. on Paramount+ Friday, Jan. 17, and premiere on Nickelodeon that same day at 7 p.m. (ET/PT). The movie will also premiere on Paramount+ in select international markets where the service is available, and launch on Nickelodeon’s international channels later in the year.

Henry Danger debuted on Nickelodeon in July 2014. The series follows the adventures of Henry Hart, who gets selected by superhero Captain Man to be his apprentice. After promising to keep his new identity a secret, Henry must navigate a double life balancing the challenges of high school with the crazy adventures of a crime fighter.

Nickelodeon UK & Ireland will premiere The Thundermans: Undercover, a brand-new spinoff series based on characters from the original live-action show, on Monday 17th February 2025 at 5:30pm. Following launch, fans can catch all-new episodes weekday afternoons at 5:30pm on Nick UK & Eire.
The Ultimate Superhero Double Bill: Leading up to its premiere, Nickelodeon will treat fans to a super-powered sneak peek of The Thundermans: Undercover on Friday 14th February 2025 at 4:30pm, ahead of the debut of Henry Danger: The Movie at 5:00pm. The series will also drop on Paramount+ UK & Ireland the same day.
The half-hour series follows Phoebe and Max as they are sent undercover to handle a new threat in the beachside town of Secret Shores and bring Chloe along to develop her superhero talent. Following launch, The Thundermans: Undercover will air regularly on Nickelodeon UK & Eire.
In the premiere episode, “Thundercover,” Phoebe and Max are assigned a mission in their new hi-tech beach home base, where their superhero identities remain a secret. They bring Chloe along to help her have a normal life, but the trio must stop the threats of Secret Shores and the true supervillain known as the Mastermind.
The Thundermans: Undercover stars original series cast members Kira Kosarin as “Phoebe,” Jack Griffo as “Max,” and Maya Le Clark as “Chloe.” The show also stars Daran Norris as “Thunderford,” and Dana Snyder as the voice of “Dr. Colosso,” as well as new cast members Kinley Cunningham as “Booch” and Nathan Broxton as “Jinx.”
The series will also feature guest appearances from original series cast members including: Chris Tallman as “Hank,” Rosa Blasi as “Barb,” Diego Velazquez as “Billy,” Addison Riecke as “Nora,” Audrey Whitby as “Cherry,” Kenny Ridwan as “Gideon,” Helen Hong as “Mrs. Wong,” Jeff Meachum as “Principal Bradford” and Daniele Gaither as “Super President Kickbutt.” Other guest stars include Ryan Ochoa, Jessica Marie Garcia, Lilimar and Anna McNulty.
The Thundermans: Undercover will make its global premiere on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon in the U.S., and will roll out internationally on Nickelodeon channels later in the year.
The Thundermans Return premiered on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ earlier this year. The feature-length movie follows the superpowered family as they attempt to live a normal life while using their superhuman abilities to stop crime.
