Adventure reaches new heights in PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, set to roar into theaters on Friday, August 14.
After their ship gets caught in a mysterious storm, the PAW Patrol pups crash land on an uncharted tropical island filled with dinosaurs. They meet Rex, a pup who has been stranded on the island for years and has become an expert in all things dino-related. When the PAW Patrol's archrival, Mayor Humdinger, begins recklessly mining in hopes of exploiting the island for its natural resources, he inadvertently causes a huge, dormant volcano to erupt. The PAW Patrol pups are thrown into a series of high-stakes, dino-sized rescues bigger than anything they've done before, as they must stop Humdinger before everything on the island goes extinct.
The short teaser centers on yet more daring rescue missions from the heroic pups, and features a new single from the Backstreet Boys (or should that be Barkstreet Boys?), “Bottle Up”.

Based on the beloved CG-animated TV series created by Keith Chapman, PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie is produced by Paramount Animation, Nickelodeon Movies and Spin Master Entertainment, and is directed by Cal Brunker, who has also helmed the two other cinematic takes on the popular preschool show, based on a script he co-wrote with Bob Barlen. Jennifer Dodge, Laura Clunie and Toni Stevens serve as producers, with Ronnen Harary executive producing.
The PAW Patrol franchise includes two movies: PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021), which grossed $144.3 million worldwide, and the sequel, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023), which earned $205.1 million worldwide. The Mighty Movie is the highest-grossing film in the franchise, with a total of $65.3 million domestically and $139.8 million internationally. Mikros Animation, which was acquired by Rodeo FX in March produced the animation for the first two movies.
The PAW Patrol TV series was created by Keith Chapman (Bob the Builder) and produced by Spin Master Entertainment and animated by Guru Studio. The show premiered on Nickelodeon in the U.S. in August of 2013. The show’s spin-off Rubble & Crew (animated by Canada’s Jam Filled Ent.) premiered on Nickelodeon in 2023.

The Tropical Islands holiday resort in Krausnick (Brandenburg), Germany, operated by Parques Reunidos, has announced a partnership with Paramount. From Saturday, March 28 through Sunday, April 12, character appearances of well-known Nickelodeon figures are set to complement the resort’s offering.
The announced characters include SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, as well as Chase and Skye from PAW Patrol. With several appearances daily, visitors can look forward to meeting their favorite characters throughout the resort, from the Tropino Kids Club to the South Sea area. In addition, themed dishes are intended to expand the F&B offer.
“This collaboration enables us to bring globally popular characters into a truly unique environment,” explains Madany Sanyang, Managing Director of Tropical Islands. “At Tropical Islands, we are constantly looking for new ways to surprise and delight our guests. By combining the magic of Nickelodeon with our tropical world, we create unforgettable experiences that families cannot find anywhere else in Europe.”
According to Tropical Islands, the Easter campaign marks the beginning of a broader cooperation between Tropical Islands and Nickelodeon. Further offers and activities for the whole family are planned for the coming months.

In addition, the movie is based on the beloved CG-animated television series created by Keith Chapman. PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie will roar into cinemas across the U.K. on Friday, August 7th.

THE PREMISE

The Gaang is back!! Today Netflix unveiled the Official Teaser and First Look photos for the highly-anticipated return of Avatar: The Last Airbender, confirming Season 2 will debut in 2026. AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER is a live-action reimagining of the award-winning and beloved Nickelodeon animated series. Christine Boylan (Poker Face, Once Upon a Time) serves as executive producer and writer. Jabbar Raisani (Lost in Space, Stranger Things) is executive producer and director, alongside directors Anu Menon, Amit Gupta and Hiromi Kamata. Dan Lin and Ryan Halprin serve as executive producers from Rideback. Additional executive producers include Brendan Ferguson and Albert Kim.
Kim, who served as showrunner and wrote the pilot for Season 1, has passed the reins to Boylan and Raisasni. Kim will remain as an executive producer on the series.
Following the smashing success of Season 1 on Netflix, the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series was quickly renewed for two more seasons, which were filmed back-to-back, with the series wrapping earlier this Fall.
“We’re looking forward to working with all of our actors again and digging into the deeper, more complicated relationships that develop as their journey continues in Season 2,” executive producers Boylan and Raisani told Netflix's Tudum in February. “We are going to show the real-world versions of iconic scenes from the original, and explore some of the stories that the animation didn’t. Mainly, we’re looking forward to seeing our gang all together again.”
The EPs are keeping details about Season 2 close to the vest, but they did tease that we will see more of the Earth Kingdom.
“There’s no war in Ba Sing Se,” they explain, referencing a line from the original animated series. “For the Gaang, fans can expect more brilliant plans from Sokka, even more masterful bending from Katara, Appa, and Momo to be as fluffy as ever, and Aang to learn a new bending form (or two).”
In general, Raisani and Boylan are excited about building on the strong foundation of Season 1. “We’re going to challenge our characters with more complex and nuanced obstacles as they navigate a more tactile world,” say Boylan and Raisani. “Just as the animated series matured and progressed, the live-action will also take these characters and worlds and grow them.”
“When we started working on Season 2, we gathered three forces: integrity, hope, and joy. And here we are almost three years later wrapping the end of production with an immensely talented and devoted team that met those ideals and exceeded them,” Boylan told Tudum. “I am eternally grateful to be part of this important, hilarious, action-packed team who is bringing this epic live action story to the world.”
But with a new season comes the opportunity for fresh faces.

See a More Grown-up Aang in Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2
“There are going to be scenes that push the audience to tears, but also make them laugh,” says Gordon Cormier.
Even in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender where the elements can be bent and warped, you can’t bend time. When the live-action reimagining of the classic Nickelodeon animated series returns for Season 2 later this year, you’ll meet an Aang who has grown up visibly since the first chapter debuted, as you can see in the first-look photo above — and the actor who plays him, Gordon Cormier, has evolved right along with him.
“Shooting Season 1, I was 12, so it’s really the fun memories that stick with you,” Cormier told Netflix from the set of Season 2. He even missed sporting Aang’s signature haircut — or lack thereof. “A piece of me wanted to shave my head again — I don’t know why,” he said, laughing. “I missed being bald and my castmates — both.” Along with the fun and camaraderie with the tight-knit cast, Cormier and the rest of the Gaang reunited knowing that they’d be able to finish telling the entire story. “We didn’t really know if we were getting Season 2 or Season 3,” Cormier recalled, of filming the first season. “And now having both, it’s really awesome knowing I’m going to be able to see them again for a while.”
That continuity, as well as becoming a more mature actor, has shifted Cormier’s approach, making him think more deeply about his character. “It’s definitely a lot more,” he said. “I go home, read my script, study my script, character analysis, study my script, hang out a little bit, go rock climbing, study my script, go to sleep, come to work, study my script — that kind of thing.”
The scope of the series will grow, too, as Aang and Team Avatar must navigate the complexities of the Earth Kingdom. “It’s definitely going to be a lot more action-packed and emotional,” Cormier says. “There are going to be some scenes that push the audience to tears, but also make them laugh.”
Of course, one of the most anticipated additions is Toph, a character brought to life by Miya Cech. “She fits right in now,” Cormier says of their dynamic. “We have a new member of the family.” As a longtime fan of the animated series, he’s excited for fans to meet Cech on screen. “She’s playing Toph the way I pictured it,” he says. “I’m really stoked.”
Even Aang’s costume reflects the season’s evolution. His familiar robes return — but they’re rougher, patched, and lengthened, complete with a larger cape. “Honestly, that OG costume, just all extended and super worn looking, is my favorite,” Cormier says.
