A man accused of posting the entirety of Paramount's upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender animated feature has been arrested in Singapore. The 26-year-old suspect could face up to seven years in prison and a $50,000 fine for stealing and dispersing the film, The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender.
The footage began going around in mid-April as social media users started sharing the full follow-up film to the original animated Avatar: The Last Airbender series. The film, which features Team Avatar as young adults in the early space between the finale of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, was set to release in theaters on Friday, October 9, however, in December, Paramount announced that they had pivoted the film, along with upcoming Avatar series Avatar: Seven Havens, to be a streaming exclusives on Paramount+.
First reported by The Straits Times, police stated that they received a report on Thursday, April 16 about the circulation of parts of an unreleased film on social media platforms. The man was identified and arrested within a day of the report.
According to police, the man accessed restricted servers to download the film and leak it online. Various devices belonging to the man were seized, with a copy of The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender being recovered from them. The maximum punishments for these crimes would be seven years in prison and/or a $50,000 fine.
The police said preliminary investigations revealed that the man had gained unauthorised remote access to the server and downloaded the film, which he later posted parts of online.
Following the leak, many of the artists and animators who worked on the film spoke out about early, unofficial release on social media. No trailer or footage of the film had been officially shared by Paramount before the leak.
“We worked on the aang movie for years with the expectation that’d we’d get to celebrate all of our hard work in theaters … just to see people unceremoniously leak the film and pass our shots around on twitter like candy,” said animator Julia Schoel on X. “I don’t like seeing people use paramount’s awful decision to remove the movie from theaters to justify leaking it. I totally understand folks not wanting to pay for/support paramount+. but pirating the movie after its release would have at least been better than this. This is incredibly disrespectful to all of the hard work the artists put in.”
The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender will stream on Paramount+ on October. 9.

Nick India, So Positive by Ananya Panday launch ‘Pressure Ko Bolo Bye’ initiative to ease exam stress among families
Mumbai: Nickelodeon India has partnered with So Positive by Ananya Panday, founded by Ananya Panday, to launch the ‘Pressure Ko Bolo Bye’ initiative aimed at helping children and families navigate exam-related stress and release it in simple, playful ways.
The initiative comes at a time when exam season often brings heightened pressure and expectations across households. Designed as a children-and-family-first effort, the campaign focuses on acknowledging exam stress and addressing it through simple, playful interventions.
Rooted in Nick India’s ongoing ‘Pressure Ko Bolo Bye’ campaign, the initiative focuses on encouraging conversations around exam pressure and promoting small, practical ways to manage stress, and encourages parents to ease academic pressure by recognising each child’s unique strengths and learning styles, while prioritising confidence over comparison. It also aligns with So Positive’s broader mission of fostering more open, kinder, mindful conversations around emotional well-being among young audiences. Through activities like these, Ananya hopes to make conversations about emotional well-being a little more natural and accessible for children and their families.
The collaboration was brought to life through an on-ground activity led by Ananya Panday, along with Nick’s popular characters Chikoo and Bunty. The activity involved children selecting balloons carrying everyday exam worries and popping them to reveal simple stress-relief actions—turning abstract pressure into something tangible that could be shared and released. The exercise aimed to make pressure more visible and manageable, helping children express and release their concern in a playful manner.
Speaking about the initiative, Ananya Panday said, “Exam pressure is something almost every student experiences, but it’s important to remember that it doesn’t have to define you. Growing up, I realised that the best way to deal with it is to take a step back, breathe and remind yourself that exams are just one small part of a much bigger journey. What I love about the Nick’s Pressure Ko Bolo Bye initiative is that it encourages kids and parents to talk openly about stress and handle it in a healthier, more positive way. Sometimes even small actions, like pausing, sharing how you feel or just letting go of expectations, can make a big difference.”
As exam-related stress continues to gain national attention through initiatives such as Pariksha Pe Charcha bringing attention to student wellbeing, the collaboration seeks to bring the focus back to children and their families, encouraging a more balanced and supportive approach to exams.
Nick India said it plans to continue similar efforts to engage families around exam-related conversations.

Nickelodeon is expanding its presence in Asia Pacific with the opening of two new Nickelodeon Play Centre destinations in Indonesia, following a licensing partnership between experiential leisure developer PLAY Culture and Tematik Makmur Abadi. The agreement enables the duo, in collaboration with Paramount, to develop and operate Nickelodeon Play Centres across the country.
Nickelodeon Play Center is designed as a family destination that combines active entertainment, character interaction, and creative retail access. This model focuses on strengthening a new standard for recreational destinations that combine physical play, imagination, and social interaction.
Positioned as next-generation family entertainment venues, the centres feature themed dining, retail, soft-play zones, climbing walls, role-play rooms, interactive games, arts and crafts spaces, and special meet-and-greet sessions with beloved Nickelodeon characters.
This initiative arose from the growing demand in the family entertainment industry for thematic content and experience-based activities. Its primary target audience is urban families seeking quality, safe play destinations with educational value. These two initial openings mark the entry of a new standard for family recreation facilities in urban areas in Indonesia.
The first location, Nickelodeon Playtime at Senayan Park, opened on 27 November 2025 as the flagship center. A second venue, Nickelodeon Playtime: PAW Patrol at Carstensz Mall in Gading Serpong, is scheduled to open ahead of the Christmas holidays.
The dual launch signals a fresh benchmark for family entertainment in Indonesia, said Tematik Makmur Abadi director Rey Wilfred, who expressed pride in bringing world-class immersive experiences to families nationwide.

"As a licensing partner for Nickelodeon Playtime Play Centers in Indonesia, PT Tematik Makmur Abadi is proud to bring a world-class immersive entertainment experience to families across the country," said Wilfred.
“We also curate and provide a range of premium toys, collectibles, artworks, and creative merchandise sourced from official local and international producers,” he said, as quoted by government-owned radio RRI. “Our goal is not only to enrich the play experience within our centres, but also to support the retail and entertainment ecosystem, as well as brand activation initiatives in Indonesia.”
The launch of Nickelodeon Play Center in Indonesia is supported by the successful track record of the inaugural location in Shenzhen in 2020. This business model has proven effective in attracting repeat family visits through thematic play concepts.
This concept was developed to address the growing trend of experience-based entertainment in shopping centers. Transforming visitor needs are driving retail centers to differentiate themselves through family recreation facilities.
Linda Dong, president of Play Culture, said the region is witnessing significant growth in family entertainment spending and that shopping centres increasingly require experience-led offerings.
“After the success of our first Play Centre in Shenzhen in 2020, we are excited to work with Nickelodeon to bring this innovative concept to more families across the region,” she said. “The launch of Nickelodeon Playtime is an important part of our strategy to meet this demand and strengthen Play Culture’s position as an industry leader.”
The project is designed to expand the standard of children's recreational facilities in the Greater Jakarta area. The concept emphasizes a balance between entertainment and educational functions.
Cow Play Cow Moo Indonesia views the launch as both a commercial opportunity and a cultural milestone. “We are honored to be part of this historic collaboration with Paramount and Play Culture to bring Nickelodeon Playtime to Indonesia. [...] We are committed to delivering joyful and meaningful entertainment for families. These new centres will not only elevate Indonesia’s family entertainment landscape but also inspire children through creativity, play, and the Nickelodeon characters they love,” said president director Daniel Darwin.
The flagship destination at Senayan Park brings together major Nickelodeon properties with distinct thematic zones - SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, DORA, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - alongside a unique Garfield-themed café dining area. Each zone is designed to be an exploratory space that encourages physical activity and narrative experiences.
Meanwhile, the Gading Serpong location becomes Asia’s first PAW Patrol-themed location-based entertainment (LBE) project.
Nickelodeon Playtime: PAW Patrol will feature recreations of iconic locations and attractions from the hit show that will transport and immerse guests in the world of Adventure Bay and provide children with spaces for imaginative play, physical activity, and interactive learning.
This expansion also strengthens Nickelodeon's position as an influential global intellectual property (IP) owner in Asia Pacific.
With two initial opening locations, the Nickelodeon Play Center expansion is expected to strengthen the variety of family play options. The presence of these entertainment centers add an alternative recreational destination in modern shopping centers, addressing the need for quality experiences.
This strategy emphasizes the new direction of the family entertainment industry in Indonesia by presenting more relevant and interactive play formats. The integration of popular characters offers added value to children's experiences through creativity and meaningful play.
Kelly Coskun, vice president of Play Culture, said: “From design to execution to training our on-ground operation and entertainment team, it was truly a fun journey and this project really have truly paid off in the most successful way, we have been full house every day since opening.”
Play Culture added: “In partnership with PT Tematik Makmur Abadi, our exclusive developer and operator of Nickelodeon Playtime Play Centers in Indonesia, we are dedicated to enriching family experiences while supporting a thriving ecosystem of retailers, entertainment venues and brand activations nationwide.
