Nickelodeon India Kick Starts School Contact Programme in Over 650 Schools

MUMBAI: As the kids kickstart the new academic year, Nickelodeon India is all set to amp up the fun and entertainment quotient for kids with the latest edition of its School Contact Programme! Presented by Ford, co-powered by Casio and Parle Mazelo in association with Yellow Diamond Rings, India’s leading kids’ entertainment franchise is back with it’s annual ritual of welcoming children across schools with a high decibel power-packed programme.


The latest edition will have two campaigns run under this program – 'Turn Up the Fun with Nickelodeon’s Gattu Battu' and Sonic’s 'Prank Sessions with Golmaal Jr. Nicktoons'. The program is specially designed for the young viewers that will inspire them to welcome the new academic year on a positive happy note.

Organised across 650 schools, the campaign kick-started on 22nd July for a period of four weeks and will see Nickelodeon and Sonic’s favourite characters – Magictoon Rudra, Super Jasoos Gattu-Battu and Prank gang of Golmaal Jr engage with children in schools across the country. The channel will host a blend of fun games, interactive activities, and selfie sessions which will give Nickelodeon's young viewers a chance to win some exciting prizes. The month-long school contact program will be conducted across 17 cities including – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Aurangabad, Surat, Kanpur, and Pune to name a few.

Speaking about the initiative, Nina Elavia Jaipuria, Head of Hindi Mass Entertainment and the Kids TV Network at Viacom18 commented on the initiative, “At Nickelodeon, catering to children and their evolving entertainment preferences has been at the core of all our initiatives. Under the school contact programme of popular children’s entertainment channel Nickelodeon, characters from popular series Gattu Battu and Sonic’s Prank Sessions with Golmaal Jr Nicktoons were held at Stalwarts World School. The latest edition of the programme is being organised in 650 schools across various cities. The programme aims to lighten the stress among kids and welcome the new academic year on a fun, happy and positive note.

As part of the school contact programme, the popular Golmaal Jr gang – Gopal and Madhav-- lead the campaign at Stalwarts World School. The prank gang – Gopal and Madhav-- engaged the kids with interactive activities. The young viewers got a chance to play games, click selfies with the toons and win some existing prizes during the programme. Manisha Dhanuka, Principal, Stalwarts World School, commented, “This is a great initiative as it not only lets kids interact with the toons on a personal level but also relieves them from their stress. It also helps kids easy the process when they are starting a new academic year.”

Nickelodeon entertainment has doubled the fun and entertainment quotient with their School Contact Programme - Turn Up the Fun with Nickelodeon’s GattuBattu and SONIC’s Prank Sessions with Golmaal Jr Nicktoons.
The latest edition of the programme is being organised in 650 schools across various cities. The programme aims at reducing stress among the kids and ease the process once they start a new academic year on a fun, happy and positive note.

As a part of the school contact programme, the popular Golmaal Jr gang – Gopal and Madhav led the campaign at Sanatan Vidya Mandir School in Ludhiana. The prank gang – Gopal and Madhav engaged the kids with interactive activities. The young viewers got a chance to play games, click selfies with the toons and win some existing prizes during the programme.

A teacher at Sanatan Vidya Mandir School commented, “This is a great initiative as it not only lets kids interact with the toons on a personal level but also relieves them from their stress. It also helps kids easy the process when they are starting a new academic year. Nickelodeon, as a brand always reaches out to schools with great initiative.”
