The 11-year-old actor revealed the news in a post on Instagram, saying: "I’m so proud to share that I’m the new voice of Clyde McBride on The Loud House! From watching The Loud House to being a part of it , Huge thanks to @nickelodeon , @nicktheloudhouse , and my amazing team at @paradigmtalentagency ✨"
Valdi is a relative newcomer to the entertainment business, and has previously been featured on Nickelodeon's Face's Music Party as Juliano the Beatboxer, and has had roles on Bite Size Halloween, The Hug Machine, and Arco (in which is voiced the titular character in the English dub). He is also set to portray a Young Michael Jackson in the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, slated to be released in 2026. Valdi is represented by the Paradigm Talent Agency, and was introduced to fans at the Loud House season nine wrap party in September.
Valdi is the fifth voice actor to portray Clyde. He takes over from Jaeden White, who has voiced Lincoln's best friend since the end of season six, taking over the role from Jahzir Bruno, who had voiced Clyde for the first 15 episodes of the season. Bruno took over the role from Andre Robinson, who voiced the character for the majority of season three through season five. Robinson took over from Caleel Harris, who voiced Clyde between season one and eight episodes in season 3. Prior to voicing Clyde, Jahzir played a live-action version of the character in Nickelodeon's live-action The Loud House movie, "A Loud House Christmas", which aired in November 2021, later reprising the role for the live-action series, The Really Loud House.
It's currently unknown why White retired from the role from Clyde, however, it is thought that it's due to his voice changing.
The Loud House debuted on Nickelodeon in May 2016 and centers on 11-year-old Lincoln Loud and his ten sisters as he gives an inside look at what it takes to survive the chaos of a huge family.
For Lincoln Loud, surviving life in a house full of sisters means you always have to have a plan! Anyone who’s ever shared four walls and a roof can relate to and laugh at the extreme family dynamics of Lincoln Loud and his sisters.
Ever wonder what it’s like having a big family? With all the chaos, and craziness, one thing is always for sure: there is never a dull moment in the Loud house.
As one of the longest-running animated series on Nickelodeon with 196 episodes, the property also has been translated into a comic book series, which continues to roll out new stories, chapter books, a digital album, and a podcast, Listen Out Loud, along with companion series The Casagrandes and multiple movies. The series is executive produced by Michael Rubiner. Kyle Marshall serves as co-executive producer, and Ashley Kliment-Baker is the art director.
