New family-friendly attractions inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender and Dora the Explorer will debut at Nickelodeon Universe in the Mall of America within the next year; Construction on the rides will begin in the fall.

Nickelodeon Universe has announced it will introduce two new children's rides to its Mall of America destination.
The theme park says construction on the Dora the Explorer and Avatar: The Last Airbender themed rides will begin this fall.
The Dora-themed ride will be called "Boots' Banana Swing," which will "allow guests to monkey around as they swing along with Boots through the breathtaking rainforest treetops." The ride is set to open during the holiday season.

The second ride is called "Fly with Appa," and will see visitors "climb aboard their very own sky bison and feel the rush of exhilaration as they take to the skies, enjoying stunning aerial views while traveling up, down, and all around." The ride is expected to open in time for spring break 2024.

To make way for the rides, the Bubble Guppies Guppy Bubbler will move to a new section of the park, and will be temporarily close while construction on the new attractions is underway, though should be open for riders in time for the holiday season.

Whether you’re young or young at heart, we can’t wait for everyone to experience our newest attractions.”
The news comes as Nickelodeon's parent company Paramount is about to relaunch both properties, with two new Dora the Explorer series set for Paramount+ and a series of Avatar: The Last Airbender projects for both theaters and streaming services.

Those aren’t the only changes guests can expect to find during their upcoming visits to Nickelodeon Universe, as Bubble Guppies Guppy Bubbler will be moving to a new location in the park. Although the ride will be temporarily closed when construction begins on the new attractions, it will reopen for riders this holiday season.

Bubble Guppies Guppy Bubbler
Swim into your bubble gondola and soar high above it all, for a Guppy’s-eye-view of the deep! And keep a lookout for that playful Bubble Puppy who’s always up to something! As part of the addition of Boots’ Banana Swing and Fly with Appa, the popular Bubble Guppies Guppy Bubbler ride is being relocated to near the exit of Log Chute.
