Jan. 5, 2025 – Paramount+ today announced the title of its upcoming and highly anticipated new anthology series that delves into some of the nation’s most heartbreaking and gripping unsolved crimes. The first installment, UNSPEAKABLE: THE MURDER OF JONBENÉT RAMSEY (w/t), stars Academy Award^® nominees Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen as Patsy and John Bennett Ramsey. The series will debut exclusively on Paramount+.

At its heart, the series centers on the story of Patsy and John Ramsey, exploring their unbreakable partnership and the complex dynamics of their marriage and parenting. It delves into how they crafted a narrative of a perfect, privileged life for themselves and their children – a facade shattered by tragedy one Christmas night in 1996.

Produced by SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, production is currently underway in Calgary, Canada, with Academy Award^® nominee Richard LaGravenese (Behind the Candelabra) serving as showrunner and executive producer. Four of the eight episodes, including the first episode, will be directed by Anne Sewitsky (Presumed Innocent), who will also serve as executive producer.

The cast also includes Emily Mitchell, Garrett Hedlund, Alison Pill, Shea Whigham, Owen Teague, Clifton Collins Jr, Rory Cochrane, Chris Bauer, Angus Caldwell, Will Patton, John Billingsley, Jeremy Bobb, Jaime Ray Newman, Josh Stamberg, and guest star Margo Martindale.

The series is executive produced by David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Melissa McCarthy, and Anne Sewitsky. September 5, 2024 – Paramount+ today announced that Academy Award nominees Melissa McCarthy (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) and Clive Owen (Closer) are set to star in the upcoming limited series JONBENÉT RAMSEY (working title) as JonBenét’s parents Patsy and John Bennett Ramsey. Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, production will begin in Calgary, Canada, with Academy Award nominee Richard LaGravenese (Behind the Candelabra) serving as showrunner and executive producer. Four of the eight episodes, including the first episode, will be directed by Anne Sewitsky (Presumed Innocent), who will also serve as executive producer.

JONBENÉT RAMSEY (w/t) explores the tragic unsolved murder of six-year-old beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey. It follows the Ramsey family, before and after the tragedy as they go through the painful loss of a child while facing intense public scrutiny caused by a media frenzy that caused this case to captivate an entire nation. At the heart of the series, it is the story of Patsy and John Ramsey – exploring the unbreakable partnership of these two complex people – as husband and wife, as mother and father – who had committed themselves and their children to building the narrative of a perfect, privileged life only to have it destroyed one Christmas night in 1996.

June 5, 2024 – Paramount+ with SHOWTIME today announced additional series regulars for DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN, the new 10-episode original drama series that chronicles America’s favorite serial killer in training. James Martinez (Love Victor), Christina Milian (Falling Inn Love),Alex Shimizu (The Blacklist) and Reno Wilson (Mike & Molly) join the previously announced cast members Golden Globe winner Christian Slater as Harry Morgan, Patrick Gibson as Dexter Morgan and Molly Brown as Debra Morgan. Production commences today in Miami, with Emmy^® nominee Clyde Phillips (DEXTER, NURSE JACKIE) returning as showrunner and executive producer.

These four actors star as members of the Miami Metro Police Department. Martinez plays Angel Batista, an up-and-coming homicide detective who leads with his heart; Milian plays Maria LaGuerta, Miami Metro’s first female homicide detective; Shimizu plays Vince Masuka, a forensic analyst who eagerly shares his expertise while relishing the chance to boss around his new intern, Dexter Morgan; and Wilson plays Bobby Watt, Harry’s longtime partner and confidant.

Set in 1991 Miami, DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN follows Dexter (Gibson) as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Slater), he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcement’s radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.

Martinez can be seen most recently on Love, Victor and Wolf Pack. His past roles include House of Cards, One Day at a Time, Tell Me a Story, CSI, Unforgettable, Elementary and the pilot, Guilt by Association.

Milian’s past credits include Resort to Love, Step Up: High Water, Falling Inn Love, Soundtrack, The Oath, Bring It On, Family Guy, Grandfathered, Be Cool, and Love Don’t Cost A Thing. Next up, Christina has the upcoming releases of Meet Me Next Christmas and Body Language, both feature films she stars in and produced.

Shimizu is best known for his recurring role on the hit series The Blacklist and will be featured in Taika Waititi’s upcoming series Interior Chinatown. Other notable credits include The Terror, S.W.A.T. and The Outcasts.

Wilson made his television debut on The Cosby Show and has since starred in a slew of television series, past credits include Good Girls, Mike & Molly, Heist, Blind Justice, The Hoop Life, Fatal Attraction and Bel-Air.

DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN is executive produced by Clyde Phillips and produced by SHOWTIME Studios and Counterpart Studios. Executive producers also include Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones), Michael C. Hall (DEXTER), Mary Leah Sutton (Resident Evil), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris) and Lilly Burns (Russian Doll), with the series being produced by Robert Lloyd Lewis (The Lincoln Lawyer). Michael Lehmann (Heathers) serves as directing executive producer.

Nick at Nite Starts to Air 'Seinfeld'

Nick at Nite will start to air the hit sitcom Seinfeld weeknights between 2am-4am from Tuesday, May 31!

Seinfeld premiered in July of 1989 on NBC, and ran for 180 episodes over nine seasons until May of 1998. The show was created by Seinfeld and Larry David, and starred Seinfeld as a fictionalized version of himself — a stand-up comedian living and working in New York City while trying to find balance in his personal life.

The other stars of the show were Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine Benes, Jason Alexander as George Costanza and Michael Richards as Cosmo Kramer. All four live in New York's Upper West Side in the show, and much of it takes place in their apartments, a nearby diner or other low-stakes situations. Wayne Knight (Catscratch, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Jurassic Park, Hot in Cleveland) played Seinfeld's nemesis Newman. The series was famously touted as "a show about nothing" in its time.

Seinfeld was considered a revolutionary sitcom when it premiered, breaking many conventions of the genre and presenting the audience with reasons to dislike its main characters. The show also resisted the predictable thread of a romance between the main characters — particularly Jerry and Elaine — and undercut emotional and sentimental moments at every turn. This is why shows like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Workaholics were later compared to Seinfeld.

Nick@Nite to Air 'Mike & Molly' From October 4

Nick News Brief: Nick at Nite will start to air the hit sitcom Mike & Molly weeknights between 2am-4am from Monday, October 4!

Synopsis: "MIKE & MOLLY is a comedy from Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men, and The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon) about a working class Chicago couple who find love at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting. Officer Mike Biggs (Billy Gardell) is a good-hearted cop who sincerely wants to lose weight. Mike's partner, Officer Carl McMillan (Reno Wilson), is a thin, fast-talking wise-guy, who despite his teasing encourages Mike on his road to slimness and romance. While speaking at an O.A. meeting, Mike meets Molly Flynn (Melissa McCarthy, Ghostbusters: Answer the Call, Bridesmaids), an instantly likeable fourth-grade teacher with a healthy sense of humor about her curves.

"For Molly, focusing on smart choices isn't easy because she lives with her sexy older sister, Victoria (Katy Mixon), and their mother, Joyce (Swoosie Kurtz), both of whom flaunt their healthy appetites and slender figures. Mike also faces temptation at the diner he and Carl frequent, where they've become friends with the Senegalese waiter, Samuel (Nyambi Nyambi), who finds trying to eat less a foreign concept. For Mike and Molly, thanks to their mutual love of pie and the desire to resist it, finding each other may have been worth the 'weight.'"

Mike & Molly was created by Mark Roberts. Chuck Lorre and Mark Roberts are executive producers for Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series originally aired for 127 episodes across six seasons between September 20, 2010 – May 16, 2016 on CBS. The theme song is titled "I See Love".

NICKELODEON ADDS "MIKE & MOLLY" TO NICK AT NITE'S HIT COMEDY LINEUP BEGINNING OCT. 4

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Oct. 1, 2021 - Nickelodeon today announced the addition of the Emmy(R) Award-winning comedy series, Mike & Molly, from Warner Bros. Television, to its Nick at Nite programming lineup beginning Oct. 4. Joining Warner Bros. Television hit sitcoms, including the Emmy (R) Award-winning series Friends and TV's number-one comedy series Young Sheldon, all six seasons (127 episodes) of Mike & Molly will bow on Nickelodeon's nighttime programming block through 2025, and will air regularly weekdays from 2 a.m.- 4 a.m. ET/PT.

Year to date, Nick at Nite ranks as cable's top network with Women 18-49 and is also currently delivering its highest share of Adults 18-49 since 2016. The highly successful Nick at Nite programming block of family comedies also includes popular Warner Bros. Television series Mom.

Billy Gardell and Melisa McCarthy star in this comedy about a working-class Chicago couple who had almost given up on love... but then found each other. Officer Mike Biggs (Gardell) is a good-hearted cop who works the beat with his fast-talking, wise guy partner, Officer Carl McMillan (Wilson). When he least expected it, Mike met Molly Flynn (McCarthy), an instantly likeable fourth grade teacher with whom he was immediately smitten. Their relationship blossomed, and after realizing they were meant for one another, they got married. Both Mike and Molly live with Molly's sexy older sister, Victoria (Katy Mixon), and their flirtatious, wine-loving mother, Joyce (Swoosie Kurtz). Mike and Carl frequent a diner where they've become friends with Senegalese waiter, Samuel (Nyambi Nyambi). Mike's other friend is Harry (David Anthony Higgins), who he met at a Cubs game. Often, Mike and Molly's relationship is complicated by interference from his mom, Peggy (Rondi Reed), Carl's grandma (Cleo King) and Joyce's husband, Vince (Louis Mustillo), who offer unsolicited advice on love. Aside from living under the same roof as his in-laws, Mike has to deal with his mom, his partner, Molly's family, and supporting his wife while riding the roller coaster of being married to a teacher-turned-aspiring author.
