It’s Slime Time! LaMelo Ball‘s newest PUMA MB.02 has surfaced online revealing that a Nickelodeon Slime collaboration is coming soon. The sneaker is covered in gooey-goodness as the upper takes inspiration from Nickelodeon’s iconic green slime.
From heel to toe, this PUMA MB.02 colorway gets covered in shades of green slime. The toebox and PUMA Formstrip have a drippy slime detail that matches the graphic on the Nickelodeon-branded insole. The sneaker features classic PUMA MB.02 finishes with Melo’s signature wings and logo intact. Nickelodeon’s iconic Orange hits the highlights on the medial and tongue. The sneaker is finished with a lightweight mesh tongue, non-slip rubber tread, and NITRO foam-infused midsole.
Update (12/19) - The Nickelodeon x PUMA MB.02 “Slime” is set to release on December 23rd at 10:00 a.m. EDT. The sneaker will be available in two variants:

The limited PUMA x Nickelodeon SLIME collection retails for $50-$140 and will be available starting December 21 on PUMA.com, the PUMA mobile app, the PUMA NYC flagship store and at Foot Locker, Champs Sports and Kids Foot Locker.
The sneaker’s description on the company’s official web page reads:
“LaMelo Ball and PUMA Hoops have teamed up with Nickelodeon to bring everyone’s favorite green goo to the court. MB.02 Slime embodies the slippery substance with its bright lime colorway, while the shoe’s tech—including NITRO foam—takes the splattered look from game show to game ready. Even Melo’s signature wings get the treatment with a dripping effect. Prepare to ooze style.”
The collaborative shoe design is completely covered in an 802 C Fluro Green PES-Lime Squeeze color palette. The uppers are made using the brand’s innovative mesh materials. This advanced mesh is mentioned by Puma as:
“Disruptive upper construction made with engineered woven mesh and multizone mixed materials for targeted support, comfort, and breathability in a lightweight package.”

This isn’t the first time that Melo has looked to cartoons for inspiration as the Charlotte Hornets baller previously released the Rick and Morty x PUMA MB.01. Puma has also previously released styles inspired by Nickelodeon properties, including Rugrats and most recently, PAW Patrol.
