Los Angeles, CA (JULY 23, 2026) – Gameplay Group International and Paramount Games Studio, in collaboration with Avatar Studios, today announced the official worldwide launch of AVATAR LEGENDS™: The Fighting Game. The fast-paced 1v1 fighter is available now for $29.99 USD SRP on PlayStation® 5 and PC via Steam, featuring full cross-play support from day one. The Standard Edition of AVATAR LEGENDS™: The Fighting Game is also available today on Nintendo Switch. The launch coincides with a major San Diego Comic-Con celebration, where the Avatar franchise takes over Hall H for a special panel.
Set within the iconic worlds of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, AVATAR LEGENDS™: The Fighting Game delivers fluid combat, expressive bending abilities and competitive gameplay designed for both fighting game veterans and newcomers. Players master the elements across a diverse roster of fan-favorite characters, combining strategic depth with fast-paced, accessible action. Each fighter features a unique playstyle rooted in traditional martial arts, allowing them to utilize tactical element-specific counters and cinematic finishers. From casual local versus matches to high-stakes cross-play ranked battles, the game brings the dynamic martial arts and elemental combat of the beloved series to life in fast-paced 1v1 battles.

AVATAR LEGENDS™: The Fighting Game will also launch globally on Xbox Series X|S by September 3, 2026, with pre-orders still open.
A physical edition published by PM Studios arrives later this year alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 version, with both Standard and Deluxe Editions available for collectors and fans.

It is the time of Harmonic Convergence. The planets have aligned, and a surge of spiritual energy from the Spirit Portals creates a Harmonic Rift—a celestial tear that has pulled heroes and villains across the world and time into an alternate spiritual reality. In this Harmonic Rift memories are changed, friends become enemies, and the conflicts are creating an imbalance that could end reality as it is known. The beacon of hope is the strength of our heroes' friendships and loves, suppressed and distorted by the
Harmonic Rift, but still there to be revealed...
Shape the fate of time and space across 27 chapters of an all-new canon story outlined by Avatar co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino and written by series writer Tim Hedrick, then dive into arcade runs featuring unique storylines for every playable character.
Story Mode in Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game takes place in an alternate reality where characters from multiple eras of the Avatar franchise meet and have different roles and relationships. Alliances have shifted, and some characters play unexpected parts or have very different personalities compared to their original incarnations. Make sure to complete all chapters of Story Mode to reveal the nature of this new world.
