Paramount+ Removes Slew of Nickelodeon Titles, Including the Very First Nicktoon, 'Doug' | Update: Even More Nick Shows Removed

As streaming services continue to remove library content to maintain costs, Paramount+ today (Dec. 19) removed more Nickelodeon shows from the service's programming library, including the network's very first original animated Nicktoon series, Doug.

Welcome to the Wayne
Wonder Pets
Zoofari

In addition a Nickelodeon special was removed as well:

Update (12/28) - In a statement to Deadline, a Paramount spokesperson said that the title purges are part of the company’s normal process of removing and adding titles, which is done on a monthly and quarterly basis.

The news comes as Paramount Global, the parent company of both Nickelodeon and Paramount+, is trying to reduce operational costs ahead of its planned merger with Skydance Media.
