Channel 5's Milkshake! Monkey’s Musical Set to Tour the UK

Channel 5’s Milkshake! Monkey’s Musical tour will put on 180 shows at 90 venues across the UK

Milkshake! is taking its beloved Monkey on an all-singing, all-dancing live tour around the UK, visiting 90 locations along the way!

From acclaimed kids’ writer Miranda Larson, the pre-school musical extravaganza Milkshake! Monkey’s Musical is set to tour theatres nationwide from Saturday 16th February 2019, with 180 planned shows bringing songs, familiar Milkshake faces, lights, costumes and more to families nationwide.

Show director and Milkshake! presenter Derek Moran says: “Milkshake! Monkey’s Musical is bursting with fun, taking our young audience on a journey which champions friendship and positivity. The show is jam-packed with audience participation, encouraging kids to get up, join in and hopefully put on their own shows at home.”

Starring alongside the much-loved Milkshake! Monkey will be two channel presenters (Jen, Derek, Kemi, Amy, Olivia, Sita, David, Nathan and Kiera may only appear at certain venues) as well as the stars of hit shows including Shimmer & Shine, Digby Dragon, Wissper, Nella the Princess Knight, Floogals, Fireman Sam and Noddy.

Channel 5 Announces "Milkshake! Live: The Magic Story Book" Tour

Channel 5 has announced that its popular children's television programming strand Milkshake will hit the road with a new live tour entitled Milkshake! Live The Magic Story Book!

The show will debut at the Edmonton Millfield Theatre, London on Friday 26th May 2017 and will run until October this year, with additional dates set to be announced for 2018.

“We cannot wait to be back touring the country with our brand-new show, The Magic Story Book,” said Milkshake Presenter and Show Director Derek Moran, “It’s a magical show full of audience participation. The Milkshake audience will love the classic fairytale storylines, the songs and seeing lots of their favourite Milkshake! characters live on stage."

Milkshake! Live, The Magic Story Book stars Milkshake! favourites Bob the Builder, Little Princess, Noddy, Toyland Detective, Fireman Sam, Shimmer and Shine, Pip from Pip Ahoy!, Winnie and Wilbur, Wissper, as well as Milkshake!’s very own Milkshake! Monkey and two Milkshake! presenters,

Set amongst Milkshake’s magical bookcase, this all singing, all dancing, musical masterpiece is sure to amaze and delight! The Milkshake! cast will be singing songs and sharing stories that audience members, young and old, will know and love, taking audiences on a journey through the world’s favourite fairy tales!

“It’s incredibly important that we are able to take Milkshake! to our audiences around the UK so that everyone can have the opportunity to experience the brand in an immersive way,” added Sarah Muller, Head of Children’s, Channel 5. “Through our live tours, we can give families a Milkshake event that they won’t find anywhere else, one where they can meet their favourite characters and presenters whilst enjoying a brilliant family day out.”

DREAMWORKS' NODDY, TOYLAND DETECTIVE TO LAUNCH APRIL 18 ON CHANNEL 5'S MILKSHAKE

London, April 7th, 2016 – Noddy, Toyland Detective, a brand new series from DreamWorks Animation, will have its UK premiere on Channel 5's Milkshake on Monday, 18th April at 7:50am. Featuring Toyland's most famous resident and co-produced by DreamWorks Animation and Gaumont Animation, the CG-animated series will air on Milkshake every weekday at 7:50am.

Created by Enid Blyton in 1949, Noddy is one of the most beloved UK children's characters, having entertained families for generations with stories set in the colourful world of Toyland.
DreamWorks' Noddy, Toyland Detective reimagines Noddy in the new role of investigator; exploring mysteries and searching for clues in Toyland while encouraging viewers to explore and make discoveries in their own world. Using his trusty tablet, Noddy sets out to answer the big questions of who, what, when, where, why and how every time he opens a new case.
Enthusiastic and inquisitive, Noddy is joined by friends new and familiar including his iconic car as well as Big Ears and Bumpy. The voice of Noddy is provided by Louis Ashbourne Serkis in his first leading voice role.

"Noddy is a true British icon and we're delighted to include Noddy, Toyland Detective, in the Milkshake schedule. This beautifully animated series featuring a new-look Noddy and his friends is sure to be a hit with our young audience," said Clair Robinson, Acting Head of Children's, Channel 5.

There will also be opportunities for viewers to win some exciting Noddy competition prizes. A new Noddy, Toyland Detective section of the Milkshake website will go live on 18th April.
