Nets delve into Alphanim libraryAlphanim's "Santapprentice" is a Christmas themed movie/film about a young orphan who, due to every Santa Claus retiring every 163 years, is selected to replace Santa Claus when he retires.
Broadcasters across the globe have acquired library programming from France's Alphanim.
Among the deals, Discovery Kids (Asia) has acquired France Televisions/Canal+ coproduction Pok & Mok (78x7′), along with EBS (South Korea), YLE (Finland) and Canal+ (Poland).
Discovery Kids also bought The Mysteries of Alfred Hedgehog (52x13′), while Canal+ has taken on Potatoes and Dragons (78x7′), Ralf the Record Rat (104x1′) and X-Duckx (78x8′).
Other deals include Taiwan's Eastern TV buying Cooking? Child’s Play (39x8′), Nickelodeon acquiring Santapprentice (52x13′) for Scandinavia [Nickelodeon Scandinavia; including Nickelodeon Denmark, Nickelodeon Norway, and Nickelodeon Sweden] and Benelux [Nickelodeon Benelux; including Nickelodeon Belgium and Nickelodeon Netherlands] and DR taking it to Denmark. Spain's ETB has bought three seasons of Galactick Football (78x26′).
Gaumont-owned Alphanim also secured further deals in Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey, Brazil and Slovenia.

Alphanim secures raft of international broadcasting sales
Paris, France-based prodco Alphanim has announced a slew of new TV deals across Europe, Scandinavia, Asia and Brazil.
The France TV and Canal+ 78 x seven-minute animated co-production Pok & Mok was snapped up by Discovery Kids for its Asian feeds, and by EBS (South Korea), YLE (Finland), and Canal+ (Poland). Canal+ Poland has also scooped up Alphanim's Potatoes and Dragons (78 x eight minutes), Ralf the Record Rat (104 x one-minute), and X-DuckX (78 x eight minutes).
Mysteries of Alfred Hedgehog (52 x 13 minutes) has been taken by Discovery Kids Asia while Eastern TV has picked up Cooking? Child's Play (39 x eight minutes) for Taiwan.
Moving to Scandinavia, Nickelodeon has acquired Santa Apprentice (52 x 13 minutes) for all territories including rights to Benelux, and DR TV Denmark has also grabbed the series.
In Brazil, season two of adventure comedy Gawayn (52 x 13 minutes) has been nabbed by Globosat.
Rounding out the sales, Spain’s ETB has picked up all three seasons of Galactik Football (78 x 26 minutes), and in CEE and Turkey, Cooking? Childs’s Play (39 x eight minutes) has been purchased by RTV Slovenia, while ATV has snatched Turkish rights to The Small Giant (52 x 13 minutes), Toto Trouble (52 x 13 minutes), The Green Squad (52 x 13 minutes), Woofy (65 x five minutes) and Mouss & Boubidi (52 x one minute).

Viacom’s Nickelodeon has added kids animation Lucky Fred to more of its channel feeds worldwide, while broadcasters in Mexico and South Korea follow suit.

Lucky Fred (52x12′) has been picked up for free-TV by Nickelodeon in Germany [Nickelodeon Germany/Nickelodeon Deutschland] and Poland [Nickelodeon Poland/Nickelodeon Polska], as well as ORF in Austria and Televisa Mexico.
Meanwhile, Nickelodeon in Ukraine [Nickelodeon Ukraine] and the Baltic states [Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland], Canal Panda in Portugal and Tooniverse in South Korea have picked up pay-TV rights to the toon, which is coproduced by Imira Entertainment, fellow Spanish firm Televisió de Catalunya and Rai Fiction in Italy.
Lucky Fred has now been sold to networks in more than 160 territories, including France's TF1 and Disney channels across the world.
The toon follows the comic adventures of an ordinary 13-year-old boy who accidentally becomes the owner of a shape-shifting robot.

A number of new broadcasters have picked up Imira Entertainment’s hit animated kids series Lucky Fred.
Nickelodeon has snapped up free-TV rights for Germany and Poland, and pay-TV rights in the Baltics and Ukraine. In additional deals, pay-TV rights have been taken by Canal Panda for Portugal and South Korea’s Tooniverse while free-TV rights have been picked up by ORF Austria and Televisa Mexico.
The latest deals further expand the audience reach of the program which currently airs in more than 163 territories worldwide including France (TF1), Spain, France, Italy, Germany, India, Israel and Australia (Disney Channel), Benelux, Scandinavia, Latin America, Asia and South Korea (Nickelodeon), Malaysia (RTM), UAE (e-Vision), Ireland (TG4), and Turkey (Kidz).
Lucky Fred (52 x 12 minutes), is co-produced with Televisió de Catalunya (Spain) and RAI Fiction (Italy), and follows the adventures of 13-year-old Fred who has a personal robot that can transform into anything he wants.
As a cross-platform IP, Imira launched a Lucky Fred app in February that features a web and mobile-based interactive geo-localised aliens hunt.
Additional licensing partners include TF1 Licences (France), Coscoi (South Korea) and CPLG (Benelux, Germany and Italy) in categories including toys, publishing, apparel, and stationery.
In Spain and Portugal, Editorial Planeta (Castilian version) and Grup 62 (Catala version) will release 16 book titles between 2012 and 2014 including eBooks.
