Heart-Shaped Rainbow Pretzel Valentine’s Day Recipe 🥨Butterbean’s Café | Nick Jr.

Butterbean’s Cafe Rainbow Icing Heart Pretzels
Yield: 5 pretzels
Active Time: 35 minutes
Total Time: 55 minutes
Ingredients:
12 ounces store bought dough, thawed
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup pearl sugar
2 ½ cups vanilla buttercream
Food coloring of choice
Piping bags
Star piping tip
Rainbow sprinkles of choice
Method:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
Divide the dough into five pieces and roll each piece out into a 12 inch strip. Form the dough into a heart shaped pretzel and place on a sheet pan. Once all pretzels are formed brush them with egg wash and sprinkle with pearl sugar.
Bake the pretzels for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown. Allow them to cool completely.
Mix the buttercream colors in the rainbow tones of your choice and place them in separate piping bags. Lay down a piece of plastic wrap and pipe each color onto the plastic wrap. Wrap the icing into a log and snip one side. Place this icing log into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
Pipe the cooled pretzels with a rainbow of frosting and decorate with sprinkles of choice.
Serve immediately.
Everything’s better when you make it together with your preschooler! So show your kids some love by inviting them into the kitchen to cook up these sweet heart-shaped pretzels. Parents can follow these simple step-by-step instructions on how to make pretzels and special rainbow frosting. While parents will have to serve as the lead chef while making this treat, kids can help by rolling the dough, mixing food coloring into the frosting, piping the icing onto the pretzels, and adding the fairy finish to complete this Valentine’s Day dessert! Nickelodeon Renames 'Loud House' Spin-Off 'Los Casagrandes' to 'The Casagrandes'
Nickelodeon has renamed it's upcoming The Loud House spin-off series Los Casagrandes to the new title of The Casagrandes! Check out a first look at the show's logo below!:
Update (2/6) - Take 1! Lalo Alcaraz, an Hispanic-American cartoonist, revealed on Twitter that first recording of the first episode of Season 1 of The Casagrandes took place at Nickelodeon Studios in Burbank, California on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 3pm!:
A spinoff of animated hit The Loud House, The Casagrandes follows Lincoln Loud's friend Ronnie Anne and her extended family, the Casagrandes, living together in the big city and exploring the endless possibilities urban life has to offer. Nickelodeon greenlit the series for an initial 20 episodes in July 2018, following the continued success of The Loud House.
"Nickelodeon is proud to expand The Loud House universe by offering a new perspective on family life with Los Casagrandes," said Chris Viscardi, who was Nickelodeon's Senior Vice President (SVP) of Animation Production and Development at the time of the announcement. "There's no better time than today to tell stories about a kid growing up in a loving, multi-generational, diverse family." Chris has now moved into a producer role for the network, overseeing the creation of feature-length animated content for both Nickelodeon and third-party digital and linear platforms.
The Casagrandes features Ronnie Anne and her brother Bobby Santiago as they adjust to their new life in Great Lakes City, where they now live with their big, loving and chaotic multi-generational family, the Casagrandes. In the series, Ronnie Anne makes new friends, build stronger bonds with her relatives and explores the endless possibilities of city life. Bobby helps Grandpa Hector run the family's corner store, and becomes familiar with the neighborhood's quirky characters.
The Casagrande family was first introduced in the The Loud House special, "The Loudest Mission: Relative Chaos," which was recently nominated for an Imagen Award. The family will continue to appear throughout The Loud House season three, currently airing on Nickelodeon, and will be featured in a five-episode arc in season four. The Loud House centers on 11-year-old Lincoln Loud and his ten sisters as he gives an inside look at what it takes to survive the chaos of a huge family.
The Loud House is co-executive produced by Mike Rubiner (KaBlam!), who will also serve as co-executive producer on The Casagrandes alongside producer Karen Malach. Award-winning cartoonist Lalo Alcaraz (Coco) will serve as a cultural consultant and consulting producer for the five-episode arc of The Loud House featuring the Casagrandes.
Chelsea Holt serves as a storyboarder, Nicolas "Nic" Parris is serving as a Storyboard Artist.
