It's currently unknown when - or if - Nickelodeon will premiere Adventures in Wonder Park. Nickelodeon Africa did have plans to debut Adventures in Wonder Park in February 2020, but plans changed.

A tribute to creativity, Wonder Park tells the story of 10-year-old June, a wildly imaginative young girl who builds models of amusements parks with rides like the Skyflinger, Fantastic Fish Carousel, and Zero-G-Land with her mother. When June gets older, she starts to lose her sense of wonder and begins to shun her childhood ideas, including the idea of the park, packing away her models away. Nevertheless, her childhood catches up with her!

One day whilst exploring deep in the woods, in a magical moment, she discovers a roller coaster car buried under ivy. It transports her to a fantastical wonder park, like the ones she used to build, populated by animals who were its past employees. But the park is broken down, abandoned and in a state of decay.

June soon rediscovers the wonder of her world, and teams up with a whole host of talking animals to restore the park to its full glory, complete with spinning contraptions and inverting roller coasters, all whilst contending with a invasion of a army of cheeky chimpanzombies looking to stir up all kinds of destructive mischief.

The movie is produced by Paramount Animation, Nickelodeon Movies and Ilion Animation Studios and was released in theatres in March 2020.

Adventures in Wonder Park will reportedly feature the voices of: Kitana Turnbull as June, Greg Cipes (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Peanut, Ken Hudson Campbell as Boomer, Jill Talley as Mom, Cam Clarke as Dad, Rachael MacFarlane as Greta, Kevin Michael Richardson as Gus, Aryan Simhadri as Banky, Stephen Tobolowsky as Uncle Tony, Daran Norris (Fairly OddParents, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide) as Principal Peters, Kate McGregor-Stewart as Aunt Albertine, and Raymond McLeod.

'Are You Afraid of the Dark?' Reboot Headed to DVD in August with Three Classic Episodes Included

Submitted for the approval of The Midnight Society, Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark? is set to haunt your DVD players this August!

Nickelodeon’s three-part revival of ’90s series Are You Afraid of the Dark? was quite a treat last Halloween season, introducing a brand new Midnight Society and making them the stars of the show in a life-and-death battle against the evil Mr. Tophat and his sinister Carnival of Doom. The limited series, penned by BenDavid Grabinski and directed by Dean Israelite (Skiptrace, Happily), managed to hit that “gateway horror” sweet spot, and it’s finally headed to DVD this August.

In Part One, "Submitted For Approval", tormented by nightmares, the new girl in school feels and out of place until a mysterious group invites her to join. All she has to do is tell a truly terrifying story.

In Part Two, "Opening Night", when a friend's disappearance seems to be linked to Rachel's story, the Midnight Society decides to attend the Carnival of Doom. Is it the same carnival from her nightmares? How?

In Part Three, "Destroy All Tophats", with her friends' lives at stake, Rachel decides to take charge and end Mr. Tophat's reign of terror. Will the story have a happy ending, or is the Midnight Society doomed?

Paramount will release the reboot series onto DVD on August 11, and what’s interesting about the release is that it’ll also include 3 fan-favorite episodes from the classic TV series:

- The Tale of Laughing in the Dark
- The Tale of the Ghastly Grinner
- The Tale of the Dead Man’s Float

In the new series, “The members of the Midnight Society tell a terrifying tale of the Carnival of Doom and its evil ringmaster, Mr. Top Hat, only to witness the shocking story come frightfully to life and prepare for an adventure beyond their wildest nightmares.”

The DVD, from Paramount is available to pro-order on Amazon.com today.

The series is currently available on Digital.

The new members of the Midnight Society are: Rachel, played by Lyliana Wray (Top Gun: Maverick); Gavin, played by Sam Ashe Arnold (Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever.); Akiko, played by Miya Cech (The Astronauts, Rim of the World, Always Be My Maybe); Graham, played by Jeremy Taylor (IT: Chapter Two, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween); and Louise, played by Tamara Smart (Artemis Fowl, The Worst Witch), with the Carnival of Doom’s ringmaster, Mr. Tophat, played by Rafael Casal (Blindspotting).

The DVD drops as Nickelodeon is in the midst of producing a second season of its Are You Afraid of the Dark? revival. It's currently unclear how many episodes will be ordered for Season 2, although its said that it'll will be more than the three-part miniseries that debuted last fall and ran through Halloween. It is not clear which members of the original cast, if any, will return for Season 2, but ACE Entertainment (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Perfect Date) is returning to produce, with ACE founder Matt Kaplan and Spencer Berman serving as executive producers.

Nickelodeon is also producing a Are You Afraid of the Dark? podcast (6 episodes, launching soon), in which Jeremy Taylor reprises his role as “Graham” from the linear anthology, playing a mysterious crypt keeper who transmits scary stories submitted to The Midnight Society through a pirate radio-style broadcast to listeners all over the world.

All three parts of Are You Afraid of the Dark? ranked as the most co-viewed show on broadcast and TV each week, with 33% of Adults 18-49 watching with a Kid 6-11. It was the number-one live-action series on cable TV in all kids’ demos (2-11, 6-11 and tweens 9-14). And with an industry standard of shows targeting 6-11-year-olds experiencing roughly 20% lifts in L3 time shifted ratings compared to Live Same Day, Are You Afraid of the Dark? scored 35% lifts among Kids 6-11 and 36% overall with the Kids 2-11 demo in L3 versus LSD.

The 'Power Rangers: Unlimited Power' Era Begins with 'Power Rangers #1' From BOOM! Studios

The POWER RANGERS: UNLIMITED POWER Era Begins with POWER RANGERS #1 From BOOM! Studios

Two New Series. Two New Teams. A New Beginning For All Power Rangers Is Here!

July 14, 2020

BOOM! Studios, under license by Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS), today announced a brand new series, POWER RANGERS from superstar writer Ryan Parrott (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and acclaimed artist Francesco Mortarino (Firefly: The Sting), launching in conjunction with the brand new Mighty Morphin series. Two New Series. Two New Teams. The Era of UNLIMITED POWER begins HERE—and only Lord Drakkon, their greatest enemy, can save the Power Rangers!

POWER RANGERS #1 reveals a new cosmic threat that only the original Power Rangers, now known as the Omega Rangers – Jason, Trini and Zack – can hope to defeat! But their secret weapon is… the villainous Lord Drakkon?! Zordon forbids the Omega Rangers from contacting Drakkon, so if they want to save the universe then they’ll have to go rogue – and go up against their Mighty Morphin allies.

New York Times bestselling author Ryan Parrott is a comic book and screenwriter based out of Los Angeles. A graduate of Chapman University, Parrott has written for television series NBC’s Revolution and Hulu’s Chance. Parrott is also known for his work on DC Comics’ Batman: Gates of Gotham, IDW’s Star Trek comic book series, including Starfleet Academy, Boldly Go, and Manifest Destiny, Dynamite’s Death to the Army of Darkness, and his creator-owned projects Volition, Oberon, and Dead Day with Aftershock Comics. He is currently the writer for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with BOOM! Studios.

“We’ve spent several years building out the Power Rangers comic book universe and continuing the adventures of the Omega Rangers gives us a chance to fully explore it beyond the confines of the show. Not only can we add more heroes and villains but we can also bring in elements from future seasons viewed through the lens of familiar characters,” said Parrott. “It’s very exciting to explore new corners of the Power Rangers universe that fans have always imagined – and also never expected!”

Francesco Mortarino is an Italian cartoonist who graduated from the Comics School of Milano. He started working at Sergio Bonelli Editore on the comic series Nathan Never and made his US comics debut on Jupiter’s Circle for Image Comics, soon working on other projects like Dungeon & Dragons: Evil at Baldur’s Gate for IDW. Mortarino has worked on high profile BOOM! Studios series including Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Firefly: Bad Company.

“A year and a half ago, I helped illustrate Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers #33, and now I’m drawing the first issue of the new POWER RANGERS series! I’m very proud to be a part of this new era with Ryan and BOOM! Studios,” said Mortarino. “I know that many readers are waiting to see where the new team’s adventures will take them. As a fan myself, I can’t wait to show everyone exactly what I’ve been working on. It’ll blow your minds!”

Currently, Power Rangers is celebrating 27 continuous years on the air, making it one of the longest running kids’ live-action series in television history with nearly 900 episodes aired to date. Created by Haim Saban and launched in 1993 with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the franchise celebrates its 27th season, Power Rangers Beast Morphers currently airing on Saturdays at 8 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon in the U.S.

The hit comic book series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers launched in 2016 at BOOM! Studios, outselling nearly every other comic book in its month of release. The series went on to launch numerous hit spin off series like Go Go Power Rangers and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The series concludes in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #55, on-sale in October, which also features the first appearance of the All New Green Ranger.

“Lord Drakkon is back but will he save the Power Rangers…or does he have a darker plan in mind?” said Dafna Pleban, Senior Editor, BOOM! Studios. “Introducing the Omega Rangers allowed us to reveal a huge piece of Power Rangers history – and POWER RANGERS #1 answer questions you never thought to ask!”

Fans who attend the BOOM! Studios Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Future is Now Panel on July 25, 2020 at 1:00 pm PT on the Comic-Con@Home website will get a very special preview of never-before-seen art as well as behind-the-scenes information about the series and what’s in store for readers!
