The program will launch in early 2022 and capture the spirit of Lay Lay’s growing brand with a memoir, guided journal and original chapter books.
Scholastic, a global children’s publishing, education and media company, has announced a publishing deal with Nickelodeon to publish books about Alaya “That Girl Lay Lay” High.
“Scholastic is the perfect partner to bring such amazing talent like Lay Lay to her fans in the form of a memoir,” says Lourdes Arocho, Vice President (VP), licensing, ViacomCBS. “This book provides a window into who Lay Lay is beyond her social media platforms. Her story is that of a young visionary changing the industry and definition of what it means to be a multi-talented artist and role model for this upcoming generation.”
Under the terms of the deal, Scholastic has secured U.S. and Canadian rights to the property across all storybook formats, including activity books, novelty books, journals and more. The program will launch with a full-color photographic memoir, That Girl Lay Lay: It’s Time to #Slay, on Jan. 4. The books will expand Lay Lay’s overall deal with Nickelodeon, which includes a self-titled comedy television series that launched Sept. 23, and an exclusive line of consumer products spanning categories such as clothing, accessories, toys and more.
"Working with Nickelodeon has been filled with blessings,” says Alaya “That Girl Lay Lay” High. “Not only do I have my own comedy series with my name attached but now I have a series of books I am releasing through Nickelodeon and Scholastic that I couldn’t be more proud of. These books will allow me to tell my stories and help other kids realize their dreams!"
The first title in the new Lay Lay publishing program, That Girl Lay Lay: It’s Time to #Slay, will include exclusive content and color photos of Lay Lay on every page in a scrapbook-style format. The memoir will share the rapper’s journey with readers ages 7 to 10, from going viral after rapping in her dad’s car and beyond. Bust Your Own Rhymes, a guided journal, will release in February, followed by the first book in an original chapter book series in May. The illustrated chapter books will star Lay Lay and her music group as they come up with new routines, perform for their fans and more

Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) has announced the finalists of Meus Prêmios Nick 2021, Nickelodeon's Brasil's 22nd annual local version of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards!
Meus Prêmios Nick is Brazil's largest children's and teen awards, and celebrates kids’ favourites from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and more.
Over the past month, NickHeads in Brazil have cast votes for their favourites to become finalists in each category, with the top four (out of eight) most voted for nominees in each of the voting categories going onto the final stage of voting.
Fans across Brazil are now able to vote for their favourites from the worlds of entertainment and social media across 22 voting categories online at https://www.meuspremiosnick.com.br/vote/ and on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtags below. Fans can vote as many times as they wish to support their favourites from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and more!
Voting will happen in two stages. In stage one, each category has eight nominees. The four nominees with the most votes in each category will then move onto the final stage of voting, which will be announced in the coming weeks. The winners of MPN 2021 will be be announced at a in-studio star and slime-filled ceremony later this year. Who will win a coveted orange blimp award is up to you!

There are three ways for fans to vote for their favourites in Nickelodeon's 2021 Meus Prêmios Nick:
To vote via Instagram, visit Nickelodeon Brasil's official Instagram page, https://www.instagram.com/nickelodeonbr, and comment on any post with your nominee's unique hashtag and #MPN, for example, to vote for Club 57 to win the "Programa da Nick Favorito" orange blimp, your comment must include the hashtags #Club57Nick + #MPN.

Gabriel Peixinho, Giu Nassa, Júlia Olliver e Pietro Guedes irão produzir conteúdo para todas as telas, com semanas de interação direta com a audiência, até o grande dia do show . Amanhã, quinta-feira, dia 19 de agosto, às 12h o quarteto fará uma live no Instagram da Nick para anunciar os finalistas da primeira etapa de votação da premiação.
Ao final da live, às 12h30, a segunda fase de votações estará aberta no site oficial ( meuspremiosnick.com.br ), Twitter, utilizando a #MPN + a hashtag com o nome do indicado no mesmo tweet e também no Instagram comentando em qualquer post da @nickelodeonbr, usando a hashtag do seu indicado + a #MPN.
