Gwyn is a 17-year-old Vau N’Akat who was raised on her father’s bleak mining planet and grew up dreaming of exploring the stars. An expert in languages and heir to an otherworldly weapon made of living matter, Gwyn can hold her ground – in both debate and in combat. After being tricked on board by the rest of our heroes, Gwyn is the reluctant “Communications Officer” of the crew. She is the daughter of the evil tyrant The Diviner and although they do not see eye to eye, she holds her father’s opinion of her in high regard. Gwyn might have been tricked, but make no mistake, she can fend for herself. She is smart, strategic, fearless, and always calculating her next move... and perhaps a life with her new crew.

The Nickelodeon Commercial Light feed will premiere Star Trek: Prodigy in Spain (España), Portugal (Portuguesa) and Wallonia (Wallonie) on Monday 18th April 2022 at 18:30 CET! Leading up to its premiere, Nickelodeon CEE will give viewers a special sneak peek of Star Trek: Prodigy by airing the episode "Starstruck" on Wednesday 13th April 2022 at 20:16 CET, straight after the debut of Kids' Choice Awards 2022!
Produced by the Nickelodeon Animation Studio and CBS Studios’ Eye Animation Production, STAR TREK: PRODIGY made its debut in October 2021 is already a hit amongst Paramount+ subscribers, and had the top-performing premiere day out of any original animated kids series on the service. Currently in its first season, Star Trek: Prodigy will return with new episodes later this year on Paramount+. The series was recently renewed for a second season, which is slated to premiere in 2023.
The US-English STAR TREK: PRODIGY voice cast includes Kate Mulgrew (Hologram Kathryn Janeway), Brett Gray (Dal), Ella Purnell (Gwyn), Rylee Alazraqui (Rok-Tahk), Angus Imrie (Zero), Jason Mantzoukas (Jankom Pog), Dee Bradley Baker (Murf), John Noble (The Diviner) and Jimmi Simpson (Drednok).
Developed by Emmy® Award winners Kevin and Dan Hageman (“Trollhunters” and “Ninjago”), the CG-animated series STAR TREK: PRODIGY is the first “Star Trek” series aimed at younger audiences, and follows a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search of a better future. These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they have commandeered – a first in the history of the “Star Trek” franchise – but over the course of their adventures together, they will each be introduced to Starfleet and the ideals it represents.
STAR TREK: PRODIGY is from CBS’ Eye Animation Productions, CBS Studios’ new animation arm; Nickelodeon Animation Studio, led by President of Animation Ramsey Naito; Secret Hideout; and Roddenberry Entertainment. 'Star Trek: Prodigy', la nueva serie animada de la franquicia, llega a Nickelodeon en abril
Nickeldeon ha anunciado que el próximo lunes 18 de abril a las 18:30h estrenará 'Star Trek: Prodigy', la nueva serie animada de la franquicia.
La serie sigue a una tripulación de jóvenes alienígenas que toma el control de una nave abandonada de la Flota Estelar para buscar un futuro mejor en una lejana galaxia. Así, durante su trepidante viaje intergaláctico, aprenderán a trabajar juntos y, sin quererlo, formarán la familia que siempre habían deseado.
En el año 2383, tras descubrir una nave abandonada de la Flota Estelar, la U.S.S Protostar, el joven alienígena Dal R’el no duda en formar una tripulación junto a un grupo de extraterrestres desconocidos, Rok-Tahk, Zero, Jakom Pog y Murf, con la intención de dejar atrás el planeta en el que se encuentran en busca de un futuro mejor. Eso sí, por suerte no estarán solos, ya que contarán con la ayuda del holograma de la capitana Janeway, basada en la figura de la verdadera capitana de la U.S.S Voyager años atrás, que los guiará por la Vía Láctea.
Sin embargo, estos valientes jóvenes alienígenas tendrán que hacer frente a numerosos problemas durante su viaje, que irán desde intentar poner a salvo a la nave de una posible colisión cósmica, hasta enfrentarse con El Adivino, el villano que controla el asteroide Tars Lamora y cuya hija, Gwyn, han retenido como rehén para intentar seguir con vida. Pero el trabajo en equipo hará que poco a poco empiecen a entenderse los unos a los otros para acabar convirtiéndose en una auténtica familia.

Procurando levar conteúdo às crianças ucranianas que procuraram refúgio pela Europa, a Paramount já lançou o canal em Portugal, e ainda Alemanha, Áustria, Espanha, França, Hungria, Itália, Polónia, Suíça e outras regiões. Em Portugal o canal está disponível 24 horas por dia, de forma gratuita em qualquer plano por assinatura.
Durante a manhã, das 6h00 às 10h00, a programação é dedicada ao público infantil, exibindo apenas séries pré-escolares. A iniciativa do Nickelodeon Ukraine Pluto TV surge da participação da Paramount nos esforços de apoio prestado a organizações de ajuda humanitária em todo o mundo. Até ao momento o grupo já ofereceu mais de 2,5 milhões de dólares em publicidade gratuita para mobilizar e educar o público global; no caso da guerra na Ucrânia a multinacional já doou também um milhão de dólares a ONGs como a Polish Medical Mission, a Cruz Vermelha Polónia e a Poland Humanitarian Action.
