Get ready to meet SpongeBob SquarePants’ best buddies, Patrick Star and Squidward Tentacles, as they join forces with our favourite yellow sponge for an incredible adventure at the UK’s only Nickelodeon Land at Blackpool Pleasure Beach this summer.

Attention thrill-seekers and Nickelodeon Land fans!

With SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward together for the first time at Nickelodeon Land, guests can now meet their favourite Bikini Bottom residents and create memorable moments.

Whether it’s posing for photos, participating in character meet and greets, or watching entertaining performances, the adventures at the Nickelodeon Land stage are bound to be full of excitement and laughter.

Patrick Star, the lovable starfish, is known for his carefree and humorous nature. His appearances are sure to bring laughter with his sense of humour and carefree personality.

Squidward, is SpongeBob’s grumpy neighbour, but despite his grouchy demeanour, Squidward adds an entertaining dynamic to the Nickelodeon Land experience.

Nickelodeon Land is loaded with 12 themed rides designed to thrill all the family including SpongeBob’s Splash Bash – twist and splash with SpongeBob as you jellyfish through Bikini Bottom whilst squirting the on board water cannons.

Soar towards the sky on Krusty Krab Order Up and take a spin as you hop aboard Bikini Bottom Bus Tour, plus lots, lots more.

July is dedicated SpongeBob Month, while it also sees the launch of Hot Ice Amor Amour (July 6), Summertime Games (July 26-28) and late night riding (July 22, until 10pm).

Plus, SpongeBob SquarePants and friends, PAW Patrol, Baby Shark, Transformers, and Monster High will be taking part in the Nickelodeon Grand Parade on Friday 1 September as part of this year’s Switch-On celebrations!

The Pleasure Beach, on Ocean Boulevard, is open daily, with entry prices varying depending on the time you visit.

SpongeBob, PAW Patrol, Baby Shark, Transformers and Monster High to Help Switch-On Blackpool Illuminations

A spectacular parade featuring the stars of the world’s favourite children’s TV channel is to be held in Blackpool to mark the start of this year’s Illuminations season.

The Nickelodeon Grand Parade will be staged along the Golden Mile on the evening of Friday 1 September as part of this year’s Switch-On celebrations.

It will see the Switch-On moment returning to the outdoors after three years of being staged indoors due to pandemic restrictions.

This year, the celebrations will get underway with a colourful, larger-than-life float parade featuring the likes of SpongeBob SquarePants and friends, PAW Patrol, Baby Shark, Transformers, and Monster High. They will be accompanied along the seafront route by marching bands and dancers.

The parade is scheduled to start from Central Pier and head along the Promenade to the Tower Festival Headland. There, the celebration will continue with a free family party with live music and family entertainment, leading up to a grand finale with the iconic celebrity Switch-On moment, followed by a Nickelodeon-themed light show on The Blackpool Tower and a burst of fireworks.

The whole event will be free to access with no tickets required.

Cllr Lynn Williams, Leader of Blackpool Council, said: “Last year, though the Switch-On was staged in front of a limited audience in the Tower Ballroom, thousands of people gathered on the Tower Festival Headland to watch it on a screen, and the previous year even when there was no screen.

“We know how much this celebration means to residents and visitors alike – and we are determined that this year everyone will get a chance to see the Switch-On moment and enjoy what promises to be a fantastic free party.

“Blackpool has a special relationship with Nickelodeon through their long partnership with Blackpool Pleasure Beach and through their involvement in live shows including SLIMEFEST and previous Switch-On events. We are thrilled that they will be bringing more of their magic to the biggest night in Blackpool’s events calendar.”

More details on the parade, the live entertainment and, of course, the identity of who will switch on this year’s Illuminations will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Earlier this year, it was announced that the Illuminations would once again be extended by two months, running nightly until January 1, 2024. Following the launch of the giant Odyssey installation during 2022, the Illuminations manufacturing team are working on three brand new light installations for the coming season.

Nickelodeon UK to Premiere 'Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years' on June 26

Before the Pineapple, before The Krusty Krab, there was Kamp Koral! Catch the brand new animated series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, premiering Monday 26th June 2023 at 7:30am on Nickelodeon UK & Ireland! Each episode will encore the same day at 4:30pm.

Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years is the first-ever SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff. The CG-animated prequel series follows 10-year-old SpongeBob SquarePants and his pals during summer sleepaway camp where they spend their time building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck at the craziest camp in the kelp forest, Kamp Koral.

Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years features Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton) reprising their iconic roles. Carlos Alazraqui (Rocko's Modern Life, The Casagrandes) and Kate Higgins (Blaze and the Monster Machines) join as new characters Nobby and Narlene, narwhal siblings who live in the woods surrounding the camp.

Marc Ceccarelli (SpongeBob SquarePants), Vincent Waller (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Jennie Monica (SpongeBob SquarePants) are co-executive producers of the series. Production of Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years is overseen by Kelley Gardner, Vice President, Current Series Animation, Nickelodeon. The series is produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, Calif.

The series, a live-action adaptation of Nickelodeon's hit animated series The Loud House, is locally titled La Vera Casa Dei Loud in Italy.
