This all-new one-shot, available in June 2020, featuring the villain turned fan favorite hero herself as she makes a choice that sets the stage for an epic event that reverberates throughout the universe!
The Ranger Slayer – AKA Kimberly Hart, the Pink Mighty Morphin Power Ranger from the alternate universe once ruled by Lord Dakkon – returns home and nothing is like she expected.
In a world that only knows her as a villain, can Kimberly show her universe that she’s become a hero…and is that even the right thing to do? Confronted by an old foe in a terrifying new form and finding her home in chaos, Kimberly will make a stunning choice that no Power Rangers fan can miss.
Currently, Power Rangers is celebrating 26 continuous years on the air, making it one of the longest running kids’ live-action series in television history with nearly 900 episodes aired to date. Created by Haim Saban and launched in 1993 with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the franchise celebrates its milestone anniversary year with the 27th season, “Power Rangers Beast Morphers” currently airing on Saturdays at 8 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon in the U.S.

Following the recent success of America’s Most Musical Family, it seems that Nickelodeon has another competition project in the pipeline!
Over the past few days, talented dancers and sports enthusiasts have been uploading their Nickelodeon audition tapes to Vimeo, showcasing their dance skills. A new audition tape from Rocket Power megafan Brittany Joyal, who credits the popular '90s Nicktoon for inspiring her to get into skating and surfing, has revealed that the project the auditions are for could be Dare To Dance!
Not much more information about the project, including whether it'll be a series or a one-off special, and whether it'll be long-form for TV or short-form for digital platforms - is currently available. Dare To Dance could also be the project's current working title, and could change by the time the show airs.
Dare To Dance will form part of Nickelodeon's new slate of programming that focuses on co-viewing amongst kids and parents, which has included the reimagined Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader, musical reality competition series America's Most Musical Family, the revival of the network's iconic All That sketch series, and the new British family game show The Crystal Maze.
Update (2/20) - It looks like Nickelodeon may have a new - currently untitled - holiday special in the works, too!

NewBe and Splendid Film, in collaboration with Nickelodeon Benelux, have announced the release one of the world's first-ever theatrical movie about slime!
Titled De Grote Slijmfilm, the movie will star Slime Queen Bibi in the lead role. Slime Queen Bibi is a popular actor who is well-known for her cheerful sketches and DIY slime making videos on YouTube.
Nickelodeon has been synonymous with slime since the number-one entertainment brand for kids introduced the green semi-viscous substance to kids in the 1980's, and Slime is the ultimate symbol of free-spirited mess and the physical embodiment of Nickelodeon's unconventional spirit.
In recent years, slime has become one of the hottest trends with kids around the world, with many videos on YouTube teaching children how to make their own slime. De Grote Slijmfilm will be first time a Dutch movie dedicated to the global slime trend. The adventurous family film is all about friendship, cheerfulness, creativity and slime - a lot of slime!
De Grote Slijmfilm will be released in Dutch cinemas on Wednesday 5th February 2020.
Update (14/1/2020) - To celebrate the release of De Grote Slijmfilm, Bibi will be taking over Nickelodeon during February 2020 with special afternoon marathons of her favourite Nick shows! It all starts Sunday 2nd February 2020 at 11:30 uur!
In De Grote Slijmfilm, Indy (Bibi) and her BFF Olivia (Rómeycia Valentine), like all children around the world, love slime! On international slime day they participate in a competition to make the most original slime. The only one who hates slime is Dominicus Duff (Géza Weisz), the country's biggest toy boss. He no longer sells any of his own toys because of slime's popularity, so he wants to ban and confiscate all the slime in the world. Will Indy and Olivia be able to save slime?
In addition to Bibi's leading role, De Grote Slijmfilm will also star: Géza Weisz (Wiplala, Alleen Maar Nette Mensen), YouTube star Djamila (Misfit 2), Vincent Visser (Brugklas, GTST) and Sarah Nauta (Elvy’s Wereld: So Ibiza!)
The winner of the Youth News Competition 2019, Rómeycia Valentijn, has taken on her very first acting job with her role in the film. Ferdi Stofmeel (De Regels van Floor), Tina de Bruin (Dokter Tinus, Het geheime dagboek van Hendrik Groen), Edson de Graça, comedian and presenter Willem Wever, Belgium actor Tine Embrechts, Belgium presenter Sarah Mouhamou and Nickelodeon star Kate Bensdorp (Evie in Hunter Street) will also feature in the movie.
De Grote Slijmfilm is directed by Hans Somers (Hart Beat, De Ludwigs, Hunter Street) and produced by NewBe in collaboration with Nickelodeon. Splendid Film will handle distribution in the Benelux region.

Vandaag hebben NewBe en Splendid Film in samenwerking met Nickelodeon bekendgemaakt dat er een nieuwe film over slijm wordt uitgebracht, namelijk De Grote Slijmfilm. De hoofdrol wordt vertolkt door Slime Queen Bibi, die bekend is als actrice en van haar vrolijke sketches en vele DIY- en slijmvideo’s op YouTube. Al jaren is slijm een begrip onder kinderen en via YouTube is een wereldwijde trend ontstaan waarbij kinderen zelf slijm maken. Dit is voor het eerst dat een Nederlandse bioscoopfilm inspeelt op de internationale slijmtrend. De avontuurlijke familiefilm staat in het teken van vriendschap, vrolijkheid, creativiteit en slijm, heel veel slijm! De Grote Slijmfilm is vanaf 5 februari is te zien in de Nederlandse bioscopen.

Regie en productie
De Grote Slijmfilm is geregisseerd door Hans Somers, naar een scenario van Eveline Hagenbeek en Maarten van den Broek. De film is geproduceerd door NewBe in samenwerking met Nickelodeon en kwam tot stand met een bijdrage van de Netherlands Film Production Incentive. Splendid Film verzorgt de filmdistributie van De Grote Slijmfilm, die in release ging op 5 februari en momenteel in 126 bioscopen draait.
Gouden Film
De Gouden Film, Platina Film en Diamanten Film worden door het Nederlands Film Festival en het Nederlands Filmfonds toegekend wanneer er voor een Nederlandse film tijdens de roulatie respectievelijk 100.000, 400.000 en 1.000.000 bioscoopkaartjes zijn verkocht. De Kristallen Film wordt uitgereikt aan Nederlandse documentaires en per 2020 aan korte films die 10.000 bioscoopbezoekers hebben getrokken.

It looks like Nickelodeon's upcoming Star Trek series has a name! In an article about the Star Trek franchise, the Wall Street Journal has revealed that the network's CG-animated series will be called Star Trek Prodigy! The news follows CBS filing a trademark for Star Trek: Prodigy last summer.
Nickelodeon and CBS Television Studios announced last year the greenlight of a new animated Star Trek series to be developed by Emmy Award winners Kevin and Dan Hageman (Trollhunters and Ninjago) and overseen for Nickelodeon by Ramsey Naito, EVP, Animation Production and Development, Nickelodeon.
Debuting exclusively on Nickelodeon, the series expands the Star Trek universe for a new generation of fans. The new original CG-animated series, currently going under the production title Untitled Star Trek Series, follows a group of lawless teens who discover a derelict Starfleet ship and use it to search for adventure, meaning and salvation.
The series will be from CBS’ Eye Animation Productions, CBS Television Studios’ new animation arm; Secret Hideout; and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Katie Krentz, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth will serve as executive producers alongside Kevin and Dan Hageman. Aaron Baiers will serve as a co-executive producer.
The show’s writers’ room includes Julie and Shawna Benson, former writers of Green Arrow and Batgirl & the Birds of Prey for DC Comics, and executive story editors on The 100; Chad Quandt and Aaron Waltke, whose credits include Trollhunters, Unikitty and Teen Titans Go!; Erin McNamara; Keith Sweet; Lisa Boyd (The Last Airbender); Diandra Pendle-Thompson; and Nikhil Jayaram.
The new Star Trek series is the third animated series from CBS Television Studios, following Star Trek: Lower Decks for CBS All Access and Our Cartoon President for SHOWTIME.
Claudia Spinelli, VP Animation Development, Nickelodeon, is the executive in charge of the new animated Star Trek series for Nickelodeon. The series will also be overseen by Alec Botnick, SVP, Comedy Development and Head of Animation, CBS Television Studios.
The series is slated to premiere on Nickelodeon in 2021.
Nickelodeon Animation are currently hiring production staff to work on the series.
Update (2/20): A recent rumor has surfaced on a popular social media website that indicated a Star Trek Pike series would be announced at San Diego Comic-Con later this year. However, that rumor also indicated there would be a Starfleet Academy series as well. It’s possible the Starfleet Academy series could be the untitled Nickelodeon series.
