Welcome to Mapping Planet Nickelodeon (working title), a little side project I've been wanting to start for a little while.
Nickelodeon has channels in nearly every country around the globe. Many of these channels are owned and operated separately, depending on viewers tastes in each country. Some of these channels are from a main pan-regional feed, which broadcasts the same schedule in lots of different countries, with localised dubs. And to make things even more complicated, some of these pan-regional feeds have sub-feeds, and even these can have sub-feeds of their own.
The main purpose of Mapping Planet Nickelodeon is to try and identify which channel uses which feed. At the moment, I'm posting the same news for each channel on the feed. It would help immensely if this project could identify all the channels that each use the feed, so I can condense the news into single posts.

Nick News Brief: ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI) has reportedlymerged Nickelodeon Iberia (Spain & Portugal) and Nickelodeon Wallonia with its Scandinavian feed (Sweden, Norway and Denmark), with all five channels sharing the same schedule.
Update (17/3) -According to the Commissariaat voor de Media (CVDM; the broadcasting authority of the Netherlands), VCNI combined Nickelodeon's Iberian and Nordic operations on Monday 1st February 2021, with each channel listed above now using the Nickelodeon Commercial Light service
Noggin, Nickelodeon’s interactive learning service for preschoolers, is partnering with Share My Lesson to host a special virtual conference titled Teaching Anti-Racism and Social Justice with Nickelodeon & Noggin’s Rhymes Through Times.
The hour-long free virtual conference will take place on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 2:00PM EDT. The conference is open to anyone interested in learning more about Noggin's brand new three-part Black History musical series, Rhymes Through Times. The team will share a new Nickelodeon/Noggin series featuring the music of Christopher Jackson (Hamilton) for children ages 2-6+. The series celebrates the challenges and triumphs of Black historical figures and leaders in Dance, Leadership, and Science. Participants will identify actionable ways to tackle tough-to-talk-about topics with the youngest children while exploring strategies to create inclusive classrooms.

Lasette Canady
Lasette Canady is currently Director of Audience Development at Noggin, Nickelodeon’s direct-to-consumer interactive learning platform for young children. Lasette has served as an Executive Producer/Content Creator with Nickelodeon for over a decade, creating games, animations, and videos designed to help kids learn through play. Lasette is the recipient of a Parents Choice Award for Alpha Beats. She is the Creator and Executive Producer of Noggin’s latest short-form series, Rhymes through Times, which celebrates the challenges and triumphs of Black historical figures and leaders in Dance, Leadership, and Science, featuring music performed by Hamilton’s Christopher Jackson. Lasette received her B.A. in Journalism from Brooklyn College and is the mom to her 6-year-old daughter, Novi.
Julius Harper
Julius Harper is Sr. Director, Development and Production at Noggin. In this role, Julius is responsible for “finding the laughs” and “finding the fun” that help kids learn and retain some of the valuable skills and educational content that Noggin has to offer. Julius is an industry veteran in the kid’s content space, having previously served at major studios like Disney and Netflix. Julius is also an accomplished writer, director and game designer, having developed and produced content for some of the most recognizable IP in the world, from Paw Patrol and Bubble Guppies to Jurassic Park, Marvel and Star Wars. He lives with his wife and five-year-old daughter in Los Angeles, California.
Michael H. Levine, Ph.D.
Michael H. Levine, Ph.D. is Senior Vice President of Learning and Impact for Noggin, Nickelodeon’s direct-to-consumer interactive learning platform for young children. An early learning and social policy expert, Dr. Levine is responsible for deepening Noggin’s value to children and families through dynamic content, partnerships, and interactive experiences developed for learning and impact. Dr. Levine previously spent 12 years at Sesame Workshop where heserved as Chief Knowledge Officer, a member of the senior executive team responsible for driving organization-wide learning, educational partnerships, knowledge exchange, and policy leadership. He is also the Founding Executive Director of the Joan Ganz Cooney Center, a pioneering thought leader in the digital media and learning field. Previously he oversaw innovative grantmaking, strategic communications and program design and scaling strategies for Carnegie Corporation of New York, the New York City Department of Education, the Mayor’s Office and Asia Society. Dr. Levine serves on numerous non-profit and double-bottom line boards including the Cooney Center, JumpStart, We Are Family Foundation and Woot Math. He received his PhD in Social Policy from the Heller School at Brandeis University and his Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
Makeda Mays Green
Makeda Mays Green is Vice President, Digital Consumer Insights at Nickelodeon. In this role, she focuses on evaluating the most effective ways to reach target audiences through innovative research methodologies. Previously, she served as the Director of Education & Research, Digital Media at Sesame Workshop (the creators of Sesame Street), where she supported the Workshop’s mission by examining the potential of current and emerging digital media platforms to deliver quality educational material to children and families. Green has delivered several keynote addresses and guest lectured at Harvard University, New York University and Temple University. She is the author of Makeda: Moving Up in Media and has appeared on The Learning Channel, CNN.com, MSNBC.com and Good Morning America Now. Green holds a B.A from Wesleyan University and a M.A. and Ed.M in Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is also a proud advisory board member of Raising Good Gamers (an initiative developed to create positive change in the culture and climate of online video gaming for youth) and Determined to Educate (a non-profit designed to support underserved youth through mentoring programs). Green resides in Stamford, CT with her husband and three children.
Sabrina Silverstein
Sabrina Silverstein, a National Board Certified Teacher, serves as a Senior Learning and Impact Advisor to Noggin. She has been a professional in the early childhood field for over 25 years, spending 16 years as a pre-k teacher in the Chicago Public Schools. Sabrina developed, implemented, and trained teachers on an early childhood teacher evaluation rubric in Washington, DC. In New York City, as a Director of Early Childhood in the Bronx, she built bilingual programs that focused on learning through play. At Bank Street College, she was the Coach Program Director for a research project which investigated the effects of coaching, professional learning, and a developmentally appropriate research-based math curriculum on preschoolers. As the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning for the Division of Early Childhood at the New York City Department of Education, she developed and implemented Professional Learning for teachers and leaders; a dynamic coaching model; and developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment systems across the city. Sabrina is now an independent consultant who engages in teaching, coaching, creating curriculum, and acting as a strategic advisor to multiple organizations. She earned a bachelor's degree in child study and psychology and a master's degree in teaching from Tufts University. She is fluent in Spanish and loves to travel!
Brittany Sommer Katzin, Ed.M.
Brittany Sommer Katzin, Ed.M. is Director of Learning and Impact at Noggin, Nickelodeon’s direct-to-consumer interactive learning platform for young children. At Noggin, Brittany leads family engagement efforts and initiatives focused on social and emotional learning. Previously, Brittany was Senior Director of Family Empowerment & Community Partnerships at the NYC Department of Education’s Division of Early Childhood Education. She led the development of culturally relevant family resources and programs and guided community engagement and partnership strategies. Brittany spent 5 years at Sesame Workshop, where she developed content and curricula for TV and digital assets, as well as produced multimedia outreach initiatives, including projects addressing resilience, the needs of military families, children of incarcerated parents, and healthy habits. Brittany has also spent time as an Education and Informal Learning Consultant with organizations such as The New York Hall of Science, Fred Rogers Productions, PBS, Google, and Sesame Workshop. Brittany holds an Ed.M. in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in Child Development from Tufts University. She currently lives in Brooklyn and is the proud mom of Brooke and Max.

A zöld trutyi idén sem kíméli a legnagyobb kedvenceket: a Nickelodeon magyar idő szerint március 13-ról 14-re virradóan ismét megrendezi a Kids’ Choice Awards díjátadót.
Az esemény rendhagyó módon, virtuális formában költözik a képernyőre, de így is látványos show-műsort, számos meglepetést és sok-sok világsztárt ígér. Ráadásul ezúttal is megválasztják a magyarok kedvencét: a díjért Dallos Bogi és Vanek Andor énekesek, Szomjas Jennifer TikTok-sztár, valamint Bóna Bianka vlogger vannak versenyben.
A Kids’ Choice Awards díjra esélyes világsztárok és produkciók közül az idei rekorder Justin Bieber, aki öt jelöléssel büszkélkedhet, de a Stranger Things sikersorozat is négy elismerésre pályázik.
Három jelölésével Ariana Grande is díjesőre számíthat, de a Wonder Woman 1984, a Lelki ismeretek és a Trollok a világ körül című szuperprodukciók is tarolhatnak. Az est házigazdája a Saturday Night Live szkeccsműsorának veteránja, Kenan Thompson lesz.
Március 14-ére virradóan, az online műsor során az is kiderül, hogy a gyerekek szerint a Dallos Bogi, Bóna Bianka, Szomjas Jennifer és Vanek Andor kvartettből ki hazánk legnépszerűbb sztárja.
„Meglepődtem, amikor megtudtam, hogy az egyik nagy kedvencem, Justin Bieber mellett – persze, más kategóriában –, engem is jelöltek a Kids’ Choice Awards díjra. Az elmúlt években is követtem az eseményt, illetve nagyon szórakoztatónak és viccesnek találtam a Nickelodeonon a V, mint Viktória című sorozatot” – árulta el Bóna Bianka, akihez hasonlóan Dallos Bogi is örül a jelölésnek.
„Viszkok Fruzsi barátnőm járt már ezen a nemzetközi díjátadón, mesélt nekem róla, illetve láttam én is a korábbi években az adásokat. Az idei jelöltek közül Justin Bieber nekem is nagy kedvencem, a Nickelodeon-karakterek közül pedig Spongyabobért vagyok oda, mert nagyon vicces, szórakoztató és tetszik a főcímdala is” – tette hozzá az énekesnő.
Szomjas Jennifert, a TikTok hazai népszerű alakját valósággal ledöbbentette a jelölés, természetesen a jó értelemben: „Még a lélegzetem is elállt, amikor megtudtam, hogy én is jelölt vagyok. A Nickelodeon adásain nőttem fel, és minden évben néztem a KCA-t, ám gondolni sem mertem arra, hogy egyszer rám is lehet szavazni.”
Vanek Andor énekes is a Nickelodeonnal kapcsolatos emlékeit idézte fel. „Óriási Spongyabob-fan voltam, Tunyacsáp volt a kedvencem, valamint a Madagaszkár Pingvinjeiért is rajongok a mai napig. Ikonikus mindkettő!” – mondta Andor.
A Nickleodeon a nézők számára is meglepetésekkel készül a díjátadóra. A szerencsések megjelenhetnek a gála interaktív képernyőin, egy család pedig abban a megtiszteltetésben részül, hogy elismerést is adhat át. A díjazottak zöld trutyival való leöntése természetesen nem maradhat el, de a virtuális technológiának köszönhetően a KCA elkalauzolja nézőit kedvenc hírességeik otthonába is.

Újabb világsztárok jelezték részvételüket a Nickelodeon virtuális gálájára.
Már biztos, hogy emlékezetes lesz a Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards hétvégi, virtuális gálája, hiszen valóságos sztárparádét láthatnak a kicsik és a nagyok! Magyar idő szerint március 13-ról 14-re virradóan Justin Bieber mellett olyan csillagok is tiszteletüket teszik, mint Robert Downey Jr., Gal Gadot, Sofía Vergara, Jimmy Fallon, Liza Koshy, Jennifer Garner, Heidi Klum, Anna Kendrick, Tiffany Haddish, Az ifjú Sheldon főhősét alakító Iain Armitage, valamint a népszerű dél-koreai BTS és a négy díjra esélyes Stranger Things című sorozat főszereplői.
A Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards minden évben a filmek, sorozatok, zene és a sport ünnepe a tinédzserek és kedvenceik körében. A rajongók világszerte szavazhatnak az általuk legjobbnak ítélt sztárokra és alkotásokra. A magyar idő szerint március 13-ról 14-re virradóan megtartott online gálán a rengeteg világsztár felbukkanása mellett az önfeledt pillanatok és a zöld trutyival való leöntés sem maradhatnak el!
Idén is extra meglepetéseket tartogat a gála. A nézők egy exkluzív élménynek is részesei lesznek, ugyanis belenézhetnek a Mancs őrjárat mozifilmes verziójába, amelynek egyik szinkronhangja, Kim Kardashian is felbukkan, de Gal Gadot, azaz Wonder Woman és Vasember, vagyis Robert Downey Jr., valamint Sofía Vergara, Jimmy Fallon, Jennifer Garner, valamint a Stranger Things című sorozat főszereplői is online köszöntik a tiniket. Emellett, a Nickelodeonon hat évadig futó iCarly – amely hamarosan a Paramount+ streaming-szolgáltatón tér vissza – sztárjai újból összeállnak, hogy átadják a Kedvenc film kategória elismerést.
A Kids’ Choice Awards idei házigazdája a Saturday Night Live tagja, Kenan Thompson lesz, akit a nézők a Sok hűhó, valamint a Kenan és Kel című Nickelodeon-sorozatokból ismerhetnek. Ismét zöldbe borult a népszerű gyermekcsatorna! A Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards virtuális gálája ezúttal is tucatnyi meglepetéssel, továbbá Guinness rekordot jelentő zöld slime-mal és önfeledt sztárparádéval volt tele. Többek között Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Robert Downey Jr., és Millie Bobby Brown is díjban részesült, de a Stranger Things és a Wonder Woman 1984 is győzedelmeskedett. A gála teljes egészében március 17-étől látható a magyar Nickelodeonon, a Nicktoonson és a TeenNicken is, több időpontban is. Ráadásul a hazai díjazottra is fény derül a cikkben!
A Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards a tavalyi kiadáshoz hasonlóan ismét virtuális formában valósult meg, ám ez nem szabott gátat a felhőtlen szórakozásnak és a zöld trutyinak, amely bármikor lecsaphatott a fellépők és díjazottak valamelyikére. Például a Kedvenc filmszínész kategóriában győzedelmeskedő Robert Downey Jr., a legendás Hamilton színdarabot megalkotó Lin-Manuel Miranda, valamint a házigazda szerepét betöltő Kenan Thompson is kapott a nyakába rendesen.
A gála rengeteg fellépőt vonultatott fel. Többek közt díjat vett át Gal Gadot a Wonder Woman 1984 kapcsán; újra összeállt a nagysikerű Nickelodeon-sorozat, az iCarly szereplőgárdája is; a Mancs őrjárat mozifilm exkluzív előzetesébe pedig nem más kalauzolta el a nézőket, mint Kim Kardashian, akinek első szinkronszerepét hallhatjuk majd az egész estés alkotásban.
A Stranger Things hódította el a Kedvenc családi sorozat díját, az egyik főhőst alakító Millie Bobby Brown pedig emellett két saját szoborral is gazdagabb lett. A dél-koreai fiúbanda, a BTS is tarolt: három elismerésben részesültek. Az este talpalávalóját pedig Justin Bieber szolgáltatta, aki három dalát is bemutatta – később pedig hazavitte a Kedvenc férfi énekesnek és a Kedvenc együttműködésnek járó KCA léghajót, utóbbit a szintén díjazott Ariana Grandéval közösen szereztek meg!
A legemlékezetesebb talán a frissen hivatalba lépett amerikai alelnök, Kamala Harris szereplése volt, aki a Generation Change elismerés kapcsán mondott pár bíztató szót a fiataloknak, akik hajlandók tenni egy szebb jövőért.
Emellett pedig arra is volt alkalom, hogy a KCA Guinness rekordot döntsön, hiszen a legnagyobb egyidejű slime-olást a 2021-es gála hozta el a díjátadó rajongói számára! Ezért mindenképpen érdemes lesz becsatlakozni a hazai vetítésekbe. A magyar díjazottra ugyancsak március 17-én derül fény: hamarosan kiderül, hogy Bóna Bianka, Dallos Bogi, Szomjas Jennifer vagy Vanek Andor volt képes a legtöbb szavazatot összegyűjteni rajongóitól!
