BURBANK, Calif.–Sept. 16, 2025–Nickelodeon continues to celebrate 20 years of
Avatar: The Last Airbender with an epic homage to the Avatarverse at
New York Comic Con 2025. During the four-day convention, Nickelodeon’s Avatar-themed booth on the convention center floor (#1523) will bring the four elements--Water, Earth, Fire and Air--to life through immersive experiences and special photo opportunities.
The following is a rundown of Nickelodeon’s activities:
PANELS
The Merch Nation: Avatar Legends Action Figures and Games
Thursday, 10/9, 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., Location: North Javits - Room 408
Nickelodeon and its Avatar: The Last Airbender partners will give a preview of the all-new toy and game lines for the next year with exclusive reveals. Stay until the end for trivia with a chance to win special prizes!
Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender 20th Anniversary Panel

Avatar: The Last Airbender’s 20
th anniversary with a panel that will take fans on a special journey through the legacy of the Avatarverse. Join original voice cast members Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Jack DeSena (Sokka), Michaela Jill Murphy (Toph), Dante Basco (Zuko) and Mae Whitman (Katara), and co-creator Bryan Konietzko as they celebrate one of the most beloved animated series of all time. Moderated by: Janet Varney (the voice of
Korra). Yip Yip!
DAILY BOOTH ACTIVITY
- The Boy in the Iceberg Photo Opportunity: See the moment that started it all. Fans can snap a selfie with a 20-foot-tall iceberg with Aang and Appa inside.
- Wulong Forest Gif Activation: Upon entering the activation, the towering rock columns of the Wulong Forest will come to life in this 10-foot-tall recreation of the memorable landscape. Step into the forest photo booth for a shareable 180-degree digital gif. Once finished, they will receive a special printed photo and shareable digital gif on their device. Be on the lookout for a surprise appearance in the gif!
- Appa Photo and Digital Gif Opportunity: After the Wulong Forest, guests can stand beside a 9-foot-tall Appa and snap a selfie with the iconic flying bison.
- Augmented Reality (AR) Bending Journey: Discover and scan special areas around the booth to launch AR experiences that bring fan-favorite Avatar characters to life.
- Costumed Character Appearances: SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star will make appearances at the booth at select times during the convention.
- Giveaways: Special giveaways and posters will be handed out throughout the convention.
