Nickelodeon Switzerland To Premiere "The Amazing World Of Gumball" On Monday 5th September 2016
The Nickelodeon Germany fan Facebook page "Nick News" and fan forums "NICKforum" are reporting the exciting news that Nickelodeon Switzerland (Swiss/Schweiz) will start to premiere and show the popular animated series The Amazing World of Gumball, beginning with season one, Mondays to Fridays at 17:34 Uhr from Monday 5th September 2016!
The Amazing World of Gumball revolves around the life of a 12-year-old Cat named Gumball Watterson and his frequent shenanigans in the fictional American city of Elmore, accompanied by his adopted Goldfish brother/best friend Darwin. Gumball's other family members - his intellectual sister Anais and stay-at-home father Richard, both rabbits, and workaholic mother Nicole, a Cat - often find themselves involved in Gumball's exploits. Gumball somehow always does his best to find trouble. And there's usually loads of trouble to find and strange going-ons in Elmore. Gumball attends school with his siblings at Elmore Junior High, where throughout the series he interacts with his various middle school classmates, including class clown Banana Joe, jock Tobias Wilson, school bully Tina Rex, emo Carrie Krueger, and most prominently, his crush Penny Fitzgerald (also Gallagher). This may seem like any other school - but what goes on when the lessons start is far from typical! Tune into to The Amazing World of Gumball for a crazy, super fun time - guaranteed!
The Amazing World of Gumball (known also as Gumball) is a British-American-Irish children's animated television series created by Ben Bocquelet for Cartoon Network. The show is the first series to be produced by Cartoon Network Development Studio Europe, who co-produce the series with Studio SOI, Great Marlborough Productions, Boulder Media Limited, and Dandelion Studios. One unique feature of the series is its lack of stylistic unity. Characters are designed, filmed, and animated using different styles and techniques (stylised traditional animation, puppetry, photo-realistic CGI, stop motion, Flash animation, live action, etc.)
Although unconfirmed, it is expected that other Nickelodeon channels around Northern Europe will start to air The Amazing World of Gumball, including Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland; locally titled Die fantastische Welt von Gumball) and Nickelodeon Austria (Österreich), around the same time.
