Seven Members From Nickelodeon Consumer Products UK To Participate In The Toy Trust's Three Peaks Challenge In July 2012 In Aid Of MEDICMALAWI

According to Nickelodeon UK's official 'Three Peaks Challenge' fundraising page on the official Virgin Money Giving website, on Friday 6th July 2012, seven members of the Nickelodeon Consumer Products UK team (Jess Brown, Jason Easy, Jeremy Poreca, Lucy Freeth, Louise Dowling, Katie Ball, and Mark Kingston), along with 120 fellow hikers from the Toy Industry, are planning to undertake the Toy Trust Three Peaks Challenge in an effort to raise money for MEDICMALAWI, which is a small charity which is run by a group of volunteers and professionals 100km north of the Malawi capital Lilongwe who run a children's hospital and an orphanage for 50 children as well as a village school on a tiny budget of less than £110,000 a year.

First the Nickelodeon Consumer Products team will climb Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, then Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, and finally, after no sleep and probably quite a few blisters, Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland. Their aim is to complete the challenge in less than 24 hours (11 hours driving, 13 hours hill-climbing).

Nickelodeon Consumer Products have agreed to raise at £7000 in total to build, equip, staff and run a new-build orphanage for 40 very young and vulnerable children whose parents have died of either HIV or malaria. Money goes a long way in Malawi so not only will this directly help some of the poorest children in the world but it will also provide jobs for builders and other local crafts-people.

This is an great project that deserves a lot of support. Nickelodeon wants to raise as much money as possible for them. Please donate as much as you can and remember every little helps and no donation is too small! You can sponsor Nickelodeon Consumer Products' Toy Trust Three Peaks Challenge team by donating money on Nickelodeon UK's official fundraising page here on the official Virgin Money Giving website. You can also find out more about the MEDICMALAWI charity here on the official MEDICMALAWI website, www.medicmalawi.org

All of MEDICMALAWI's fundraising is carried out by a small un-paid UK team so they can keep administration costs to a minimum and make sure that the money they raise goes directly to helping the people in Malawi.

Good luck from NickALive! to everyone taking part in the Toy Trust Three Peaks Challenge!
