Silvergate Media Producing Brand-New Show For Nickelodeon
Silvergate Media, a international TV production and licensing company focused on pre-school children's entertainment based in New York and London and the co-producer of Nickelodeon's popular CG-animated preschool series "Peter Rabbit", has announced the exciting news in a press release that they are currently in pre-production on a brand-new show for Nickelodeon!

Nickelodeon Nominated For Several Awards In The 43rd Annie Awards
The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, has announced the fantastic Nickelodeon News on the organizations official website, annieawards.org, that Nickelodeon has been nominated for 17 awards in the 43rd Annie Awards, including for "Harvey Beaks", "Pig Goat Banana Cricket", "Breadwinners", "Sanjay and Craig", "Fresh Beat Band of Spies", "PAW Patrol" and "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water"! Additionally, Nick Jr. UK's popular animated preschool series "Puffin Rock" has also been nominated for two awards in the 43rd Annie Awards!
The Annie Awards is a prestige annual awards show that honors the best in the field of animation. The winners of the 2015 Annie Awards will be announced at a black tie ceremony on Saturday 6th February 2016 at UCLA's Royce Hall.

Nickelodeon Names Jennifer Dodge As Senior Vice President, West Coast Development and Production, Nickelodeon Preschool

NICKELODEON NAMES JENNIFER DODGE SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, WEST COAST DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION, NICKELODEON PRESCHOOL
BURBANK, CALIF.–MARCH 30, 2015–Nickelodeon has named Jennifer Dodge to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, West Coast Development and Production, Nickelodeon Preschool. In this role, she will spearhead West Coast-based development of all original content for Nickelodeon Preschool's programming block and the Nick Jr. channel, as well as additional preschool platforms such as the Nick Jr. app. The announcement was made today by Russell Hicks, President, Production and Development, Nickelodeon, to whom she will report.
Dodge, who will be based in Nickelodeon's Animation Studio in Burbank, Calif., will take pitches and develop creative assignments for preschool projects. She will also be tasked with developing in-house talent, and discovering and nurturing new artists and writers in the West Coast creative community.
Prior to joining Nickelodeon, Dodge served as Vice President and Executive Producer for Spin Master Entertainment, the company's film and television subsidiary. In this role, she was responsible for all content and strategy related to the Entertainment Division of Spin Master Ltd., including the creation, acquisition, development, financing, production and distribution of television series, feature films and web content based on currently owned and newly created intellectual properties.
Having joined Spin Master in 2009, Dodge was the driving force in greenlighting more than 200 episodes of animation, including the launch of boys' action properties RedaKai and Tenkai Knights. Dodge also led Spin Master's foray into preschool with the hit PAW Patrol, which airs on Nickelodeon. Dodge is also the co-creator and executive producer of the recently launched preschool show Little Charmers, a co-production with Nelvana, for Treehouse in Canada and Nick Jr. worldwide.
Before joining Spin Master, Dodge served as VP Distribution and Sales Operations for Cookie Jar Entertainment (now part of DHX Media) and as Director, Production and Development for Decode Entertainment (DHX Media).

Nickelodeon Nominated For Several Awards In The 42nd Annie Awards
The Annie Awards has announced the fantastic Nickelodeon News on the organizations official website, annieawards.org, that the Nickelodeon has been nominated for several awards in the 42nd Annie Awards, an prestige annual awards show which honors the best in animation! The 2014 Annie Awards ceremony will be held on Saturday 31st January 2015 at UCLA's Royce Hall in Los Angeles, California, USA.
The 42nd Annie Award nominations, presented by the International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, cover film, TV production, commercials, short subjects, video games, student films and honorary and achievement awards. The newest category, character animation in a video game, brings the total awards to 36.
In the Production categories, Nickelodeon Preschools' "Peter Rabbit" and "Wallykazam!" and Nick Jr. UK's "Zack & Quack" have been nominated for the "Best General Audience Animated TV/Broadcast Production For Preschool Children" award, and Nickelodeon Animation Studio's "The Legend of Korra" has been nominated for the "Best Animated TV/Broadcast Production For Children’s Audience" award.
In the Individual Achievement Categories, Zac Gorman, a storyboard artist and character designer at Nickelodeon Animation Studio, has been nominated for the "Outstanding Achievement, Character Design in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production" 2014 Annie Award for his work work on Nickelodeon's digital series "Welcome to the Wayne"; Peter Lurye, George Gabriel and Chris Gifford have been nominated for the "Outstanding Achievement, Music in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production" award for their musical work on Nickelodeon Preschool's "Dora and Friends: Into the City!"; Joaquim Dos Santos has been nominated for the "Outstanding Achievement, Storyboarding in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production" award for "Legend of Korra"; and stand-up comedian, actor, singer, impressionist, voice artist; comedian Carlos Alazraqui has been nominated for the "Outstanding Achievement, Voice Acting in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production" award for his portrayal of Denzel Q. The 42nd Annie Award nominations, presented by the International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, cover film, TV production, commercials, short subjects, video games, student films and honorary and achievement awards. The newest category, character animation in a video game, brings the total awards to 36.
In the Production categories, Nickelodeon Preschools' "Peter Rabbit" and "Wallykazam!" and Nick Jr. UK's "Zack & Quack" have been nominated for the "Best General Audience Animated TV/Broadcast Production For Preschool Children" award, and Nickelodeon Animation Studio's "The Legend of Korra" has been nominated for the "Best Animated TV/Broadcast Production For Children’s Audience" award.
In the Individual Achievement Categories, Zac Gorman, a storyboard artist and character designer at Nickelodeon Animation Studio, has been nominated for the "Outstanding Achievement, Character Design in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production" 2014 Annie Award for his work work on Nickelodeon's digital series "Welcome to the Wayne"; Peter Lurye, George Gabriel and Chris Gifford have been nominated for the "Outstanding Achievement, Music in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production" award for their musical work on Nickelodeon Preschool's "Dora and Friends: Into the City!"; Joaquim Dos Santos has been nominated for the "Outstanding Achievement, Storyboarding in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production" award for "Legend of Korra"; and stand-up comedian, actor, singer, impressionist, voice artist; comedian Carlos Alazraqui has been nominated for the "Outstanding Achievement, Voice Acting in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production" award for his portrayal of Denzel Q. Ozzy Osbourne And RuPaul To Guest Star In "Bubble Guppies"; Bully Ray To Guest Star On "See Dad Run"
Rolling Stone, a magazine that focuses on politics and popular culture, is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon Preschool news in a article on their official website, rollingstone.com, that Ozzy Osbourne and RuPaul Andre Charles will be guest starring in upcoming brand-new episodes of Nickelodeon's Emmy Award-winning popular preschool series "Bubble Guppies"!
In one all-new "Bubble Guppies" episode, the English heavy metal vocalist, songwriter, and television personality Ozzy Osbourne is set to voice the character Sid Fishy, a "rock and roll fish who loves being rotten".
Unlike the more wholesome residents of underwater city Bubbletucky, Sid Fishy, pictured above, sports a red mohawk, eyebrow and fin rings, a gold tooth and slime spray to wreak havoc on unsuspecting guppies. The Prince of Darkness tells Rolling Stone he was drawn to the character because "I've always smelled a bit fishy".
When asked to elaborate on the contents of Fishy's container, a representative for the show replied, "The green liquid is Sid Fishy's 'stink sauce' made up of different smells such as stinky socks and rotten eggs. He wants to use the stink sauce to cover Big Bubble City and all its citizens to make them stinky." It is unclear which characters, including Mr. Grouper, Mr. Grumpfish and any of the residents of the Bubbletucky Zoo, will be affected.
In a separate episode, the American actor, drag queen, model, author, and recording artist RuPaul ("RuPaul's Drag Race") will also star as RuPearl, a "charismatic snail that's part ringside boxing announcer and part fashionista". Both of their episodes will premiere on Nickelodeon in 2015.
Osbourne said he was attracted to the role because of his 2-year-old granddaughter Pearl. "The whole reason I did the show was for Pearl," said Ozzy. "She has Nick Jr. on 24/7. I can't wait to see her reaction when she hears my voice come from Sid Fishy's mouth.

Although the 42-year-old grappler is remaining tight-lipped on his part, he was thrilled to get to work with lead actor Scott Baio ("Happy Days", "Bugsy Malone"), "Pretty Woman" director Garry Marshall and his filmmaker son Scott Marshall on the comedy series.
Bully - who can be seen competing with the other stars of TNA every week on "IMPACT Wrestling" every week on Challenge TV in the UK and Spike in the US - revealed: "I just did a television show for Nickelodeon. The show is called "See Dad Run" and it stars Scott Baio and it's on nick@nite. Nickelodeon Preschool Television Launches 2014 Animated Shorts Program
The animation news website Animation World Network (AWN) is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon News in the following article that, following the success of the Nickelodeon Animated Shorts Program, Nickelodeon Preschool Television is launching a brand-new creative shorts program! Can you bring the funny? Nickelodeon is looking for concepts that make preschoolers laugh and giggle!
As part of the Nickelodeon Preschool Television 2014 Animated Shorts Program, Nickelodeon is looking for character-based shorts that are silly, whacky, loony and hilariously funny to its core audience of two-to-five year olds. Shorts should include strong characters that appeal to both boys and girls, and should avoid stereotyping of any kind.
Creative Guidelines:
Shorts should be respectful of preschooler's development, gearing humor and content to the audience.
Shorts should be visually stimulating and push the conventions of design while working on a level respectful of preschooler's development.

Shorts should have no more than 2-3 characters.

Nickelodeon USA Nabs Weekly Win With Kids And Total Viewers

Nickelodeon USA Tops January 2014 With Kids, Total Viewers; Marks 12 Straight Months Of Ratings Growth

The network's monthly ratings win was driven by strong performances from its slate of original live action hits, including "Sam & Cat", "The Haunted Hathaways" and "The Thundermans". "Sam & Cat" led the month with Kids 2-11 (6.8/2.2M), Kids 6-11 (8.9/1.7M), Teens 9-14 (6.9/1.4M) and total viewers (3.9M). These numbers were propelled by the January 18th premiere of the special one-hour "Sam & Cat" episode "#TheKillerTunaJump: #Freddie #Jade #Robbie", which drew 4.8 million total viewers and ranked as Nick's highest-rated telecast with Kids 6-11 since 2012. "The Haunted Hathaways" followed "Sam & Cat" with Kids 2-11 (5.2/1.7M), Kids 6-11 7.0/1.4M and total viewers (2.8M), while "The Thundermans" rounded out the top three live-actions spots with Kids 2-11 (5.1/1.6M) and Kids 6-11 (7.0/1.4M).
Among animated series, "SpongeBob SquarePants" won the month with Kids 2-11 (5.1/1.6M), and total viewers (3.1M).
Nickelodeon USA was also the months' top-ranked network with preschoolers, averaging a 3.8/480K with Kids 2-5, up +9% over last year and +81% ahead of the closest competitor. "Paw Patrol" won the month as TV's top preschool series among Kids 2-5, with a 6.8/845K - up +48% compared to the same time period a year ago (2013).
Nickelodeon USA also won the fourth week of January 2014 (Monday 20th - Sunday 26th January 2014) with Kids 2-11 (3.2/1.0M, up +10% versus year ago), Kids 2-5 (4.0/498K, up +11%) and total viewers (1.9M).
