Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael (aka the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) are taken to Japan in this installment in the long-running animated series. Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's characters are taken before a mysterious Ninja Tribunal after arriving in the country, and they are soon put through some rigorous training sessions to help them find some new special powers. The newly acquired abilities of the Turtles are tested when a warlord named the Shredder appears on the scene, and they must battle hard as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance.
