Viacom Extends Employment Agreement with Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Thomas Dooley Through 2018

Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ:VIAB, VIA), the parent company of the Nickelodeon brand, has announced in a press release that it has extended the employment agreement of Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Thomas Dooley through December 31, 2018. His previous contract ran through December 31, 2016.

Dooley was named Chief Operating Officer of Viacom 2010 and has served on Viacom's Board since 2006. Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, Dooley was named Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in 2006 and added the title of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2007. Previously, Dooley was Deputy Chairman of the former Viacom Inc., a predecessor of the Company, and also served as a member of the Board of that company from 1996 to 2000. He first joined Viacom in 1980.

Dooley is a Trustee of the North Shore–LIJ Health System. He earned a bachelor of science degree from St. John's University in 1978 and an M.B.A. from the New York University Graduate School of Business in 1984.
