And The Winning Nickelodeon Slime Cup 2016 Team Is...

The games have been played, the slime points have been counted, and it's now time to reveal that the winning team of Nickelodeon Slime Cup 2016!


The Slime Cup Games saved its biggest challenge for last, and I'm talking one HUGE challenge! THE SLIMEWARRIOR RELAY was a true team effort, requiring each team member to work together. When the day was done, Team Yellow continued their winning streak by getting through the course in the fastest time, followed by Purple, Blue and Red.

But the battle for the Slime Cup was not done yet. That's because all of the slime points that fans at home collected still needed to be included, and when all the numbers were added up...

TEAM BLUE won the SLIME CUP!

The Slime Cup is Nickelodeon's slime-filled games and sports competition! The global interactive multiplatform brand campaign was anchored by two one-week long TV events where four teams made up of 16 of the biggest Nickelodeon stars from the hit live-action Nick shows Bella and the Bulldogs, Game Shakers, Henry Danger, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn and The Thundermans battled it out for slime supremacy.

The Slime Cup Games play out in two competition-filled, week-long specials, which aired across international Nickelodeon channels. The first, "The Slime Cup Totally Awesome Team Choosing Challenge", introduced this year's players and kicked off the campaign with a series of competitions which will ultimately placed all 16 Nick stars on their respective teams. The second week-long special, "The Slime Cup Games," featured the four teams competing in a series of all-new slimy head-to-head sports challenges with the goal of accumulating the most Slime points to win the messiest prize in sports... the Slime Cup trophy!


In their quest for the Nickelodeon Slime Cup, teams were put through their paces by competing in such challenges as the Wrecking Ball Challenge, the Doused Joust Challenge, the Slimy Scavenger Hunt, the Gooey Globe Run, the Gooey Gauntlet, and the Slime Warrior Relay.

However, the Slime Cup wasn't just a spectator sport; This year, kids in more than 150 countries were able to support their favorite Nickelodeon stars during the Slime Cup competition by getting involved in all the slimy action online and experiencing the fun for themselves by signing up for the Nickelodeon Slime Cup Competition 2016, picking a team and earning valuable Slime Points for their chosen team in the quest for the cup and for themselves by playing the awesome, interactive Slime Cup Game digital game on slimecup.com. All the slime points could also be exchanged for cool rewards in the Nickelodeon Slime Cup SlimeStand. Fans were even able to create their very own personalised team stat card on the site.


This year, Nickelodeon's multi-platform sports and games competition was hosted by Nickelodeon veteran Kel Mitchell and featured ambassadors SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star.
