Bandai Announces New Mighty Morphin Power Rangers And Power Rangers Zeo Toy Lines

Bandai America Inc. is set to launch an entirely new toy line of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Legacy Zords!

Officially announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, the new toy line will consist of newly scaled Zords that match the size of Saban’s Power Rangers movie Zord toys released in late 2016.

Each Legacy Zord will also include a miniature figure to pose alongside its prehistoric Dinozord.

Bandai will release only two Zords to kick off the line: the Red Ranger’s Tyrannosaurus Rex Zord, and the Yellow Ranger’s Sabertooth Tiger Zord.

The new Legacy Zords are currently slated for release in Spring 2018.

The news was confirmed by Saban Brands and Bandai at the Power Rangers Toys & Collectibles Power Hour panel at SDCC 2017.

In additional Power Rangers merchandise news, Bandai is moving their popular Legacy line into the Power Rangers Zeo era, and now fans can get their first look at the new figures.

The toy company released press photos of their new line of figures, which will include highly articulated Legacy versions of the Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Pink, and Gold Rangers. There's also a new up-close look at the Zeo Megazord.

As you can see in Power Rangers NOW's photo gallery, all of these are looking quite good in the paint application department, though you won't be able to get the whole set all at once. Wave 4 of the Legacy Line will ship out in the Fall of this year and will include the Green, Yellow, and Gold Rangers. It will also include the Red and Blue Dino Thunder figures.

The next wave will hit in late fall of this year, and that will include the Zeo Red, Blue, and Pink Rangers, along with the Dino Thunder Yellow and Black Rangers.

Each figure will retail for $19.99, and you can view the new additions in the gallery.

Power Rangers Zeo ran for 50 episodes and starred Jason David Frank (Tommy Oliver/Red), Nakia Burrise (Tanya Sloan/Yellow), Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam Park/Green), Catherine Sutherland (Katherine 'Kat' Hillard/Pink), Steve Cardenas (Rocky DeSantos/Blue), Austin St. John (Jason Scott/Gold), David Yost (Billy Cranston), Robert L. Manahan (Zordon), Danny Wayne (Rito Revolto), Kerrigan Mahan (Goldar), and David Stenstrom (King Mondo).

Power Rangers Zeo Legacy Figures were first announced at Power Morphicon 2016. Power Rangers Dino Thunder Legacy Figures were first announced in December 2016.
