“iCarly”’s Nathan Kress Will Star In A "Game Shakers" Episode To Answer the Great Debate: Creddie Or Seddie?

For iCarly's 10th anniversary, Nathan will help answer the age-old question: Did Freddie love Carly or Sam?

It's pretty hard to believe, but iCarly is officially turning ten years old this Friday, and Nickelodeon is pulling out all the stops to celebrate!

Actually, they're so excited about this momentous occasion that they're dedicating an entire episode of Dan Schneider's latest show, Game Shakers, to answering one of the enduring questions iCarly fans have had ever since the show ended: Who did Freddie truly love — Sam or Carly?

The episode of Game Shakers is called "Game Shippers" and it finds Babe (Cree Cicchino) and Kenzie (Madisyn Shipman), Triple G (Benjamin Flores Jr.) and Hudson (Thomas Kuc) tracking down Nathan Kress — the actor who played Freddie — to find out who Freddie loved once and for all. And you know what that means? NATHAN KRESS IS GOING TO GUEST STAR. AS HIMSELF! Plus, Nathan is a director behind the scenes at Nickelodeon these days (he directs some of your fave episodes of Game Shakers and Henry Danger) and he actually directed the anniversary episode — which means it got his iCarly OG stamp of approval!

Seventeen.com got the chance to chat with Nathan leading up to the special anniversary episode and he couldn't stop gushing about his experience on iCarly and how they've kept the show alive despite being ten years old!

"The fact that we were able to do something that was so iconic and meant so much to so many kids and parents and families as a whole and has stayed in the public mind that people are still wondering about the characters is incredible," Nathan told Seventeen.com. "It's so rare in these days, in terms of how saturated television and entertainment is, so the fact that people are still choosing to care about something that started ten years ago is incredible. People will still come up to me who are older than me or in college or have grownup jobs and they'll say that this was my childhood. It just blows my mind that it was such a big part of people's lives. Coming back and revisiting was really cool."

Even though Nathan wouldn't tell Seventeen.com whether the answer to the big question that's been haunting shippers everywhere will actually be answered in "Game Shippers," the episode will let you relive iconic shipper moments from iCarly. Actually, Seventeen.com got an awesome sneak peek clip where the Game Shakers break into Nathan's hotel room to demand an answer to the age-old debate! Check it out here!

The special episode of Game Shakers guest starring Nathan will premiere this Friday at 8p.m. on Nickelodeon USA. You better tune in or else your shipper heart may never be able to rest!

Nathan Kress Is Spilling the Fate of That Iconic 'iCarly' Love Triangle

The only way we're getting through the fact that iCarly premiered ten whole years ago is the fact that we are constantly being given a dose of nostalgia with every episode Nickelodeon airs. Thank goodness for re-runs, right? Gone are the days of Carly Shay, Sam Puckett and Freddie Benson's web series and it's genius slapstick humor. Thankfully though, we may finally get the answers we have been longing for all these years later. Yep, that's right. We're talking about that central love triangle between Carly, Sam and Freddie.

Even though the show ended for multiple reasons, the spirit of iCarly managed live on. Of course, Jennette McCurdy continued to portray Sam in Sam & Cat, while Miranda Cosgrove went off to college. But aside from that, Nathan Kress is returning to the network this month. And while he's at it, he's serving up some iCarly answers. Nathan will be guest-starring in and directing an upcoming episode of Game Shakers, titled "Game Shippers." He won't be starring as Freddie though. In fact, he'll be playing himself. Turns out, he's going to finally debunk the love triangle and relive some of iCarly's iconic moments. Finally – the clarity we've been waiting for! Watch the video below to see what Nathan exclusively spilled to us about being in front of the camera on a Nick show after all this time.

"The whole point of the episode is that they're essentially doing whatever it takes to get to me to ask me this question. And ultimately, it ends with them breaking and entering and very much invading my personal space in order to ask the question of, 'Who did Freddie love more?'" Nathan told us.

Freddie's crush on Carly was apparent right off the bat – in the very first episode of iCarly, as a matter of fact. They even once dated after he saved Carly from a taco truck, but they ended up breaking up because Freddie didn't want Carly dating him just because he saved her life. It's no surprise people are fans of Creddie.

But Seddie shippers have a different outlook though. They start off as frenemies, always teasing each other and giving one another a hard time. Freddie and Sam also dated for a while, but eventually ended up breaking up as well. It's all very complex, and we cannot wait to see what's going to be revealed in this upcoming episode of Game Shakers.

"I never thought that I would have the opportunity to direct a project that I’m also acting in, at least so early in my career. I’m so excited for the opportunity to stretch myself on both sides of the camera," Nathan said in an interview. "The concept of the episode, and the little Easter Eggs we included definitely brought back the iCarly nostalgia. I even had the added bonus of getting to direct my wife in the episode, as well!"
