Make It Real To Debut 'Sunny Day' DIY Activity Kits During Fall 2018

Make It Real will celebrate the preschool series’ main character with a new line of DIY beauty craft kits.

US toymaker Make It Real is launching a new range of activity kits based on Nickelodeon’s hit animated preschool series Sunny Day!

Slated to hit US mass-market shelves during fall 2018, the line includes activity kits focused on hair, make-up, jewelry and accessories (including bracelets), and nail designs for girls ages five and up.

Sunny Day encourages girls to ‘write their own story and sing their own tune,’ which is exactly the message we want to convey with our creativity kits,” says Isaac Wolman, chief executive officer, Make It Real. “Our new Sunny Day collection delivers an exciting array of creative opportunities for girls to express their individual style with confidence.”

"Nickelodeon is an iconic company and we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with them to create something inspirational, aspirational and meaningful for our audience of young girls," Make It Real said in a statement last year following the partnership being announced.

Sunny Day follows a salon-owning entrepreneur who helps her friends solve everyday challenges. Developed and produced by Silvergate Media, the series bowed on Nickelodeon USA last August. As Nickelodeon readies for the show’s second season premiere later this year, this May, Nickelodeon will launch the Sunny Day Tour, an immersive on-ground activation that will travel to cities across the U.S., and Walmart will start to roll out Mattel’s Sunny Day toy line (including basic and deluxe dolls, accessories, plush, role play and play sets).

Jada Toys Inc. also recently announced that they'll be adding Dazzle Dash to their rosta of girls’ products. The new die-cast vehicle girl line will be available this August and include popular licenses, including Sunny Day. Jada Toys Inc. unveiled their Sunny Day Dazzle Dash vehicles at the 2018 North American International Toy Fair in New York City.
