Nickelodeon Partners with Eckerö Line to Launch Slime Time Cruises in Finland

Nickelodeon recently partnered with the Finnish shipping company Eckerö Line to launch Slime Time Cruises with the exclusive concept Slimeulator, which was available at Eckerö Line m/s Finlandia during the autumn holidays in October 2019! This was the first time ever that the Nickelodeon Slimeulator concept was brought to Finland.

In collaboration with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Nordics' kids’ entertainment brand Nickelodeon, one of the world leading kids network, and Eckerö Line, the exclusive slime-ulator concept was introduced to the Finnish market for the first time ever.

Being slimed by Nickelodeon is the ultimate badge of honour and the brand is known for covering celebrities in the iconic goo. The slime phenomenon has overwhelmed Finnish children in recent years, and this autumn, Nickelodeon and Eckerö Line offered kids the chance to be slimed. For a limited time during the autumn holidays between Wednesday 16th and Sunday 20th October 2019, kids could travel with Slime Time Cruises, which feature Nickelodeon's world-famous Slimeulator, a special contraption that pours litres of green slime over kids.

"Eckerö Line has 25 years of experience on ferry route between Helsinki and Tallinn. We are famous in serving tasty food, good music and great entertainment to our customers. Surprising people is so much fun. Kids love slime – so why not offer them a real never-experienced Slimeulator. Slimeulator is fun, exciting and very green, and kids love it – and that is most important. We are proud to launch it to Finnish and Estonian market. During fall holidays also younger kids will have chance for meet and greet with super-popular Paw Patrol characters. A real holiday fun for the whole family. Come and get slimed!," said Ida Toikka-Everi, Director of Marketing and Communications at Eckerö Line.

The activation previously saw success touring in UK and Finland is the first Nordic country to host the concept. Attendees were able to participate in slime games, slime making and slime tattoos. For the youngest kids, there was also a chance to meet fan-favourite characters from PAW Patrol.

Slime is this big kids’ trend and we’re excited to bring the fun associated with the green substance to kids and their families at Eckerö Linjen," said Mikko Silvennoinen, Sales Director for Nickelodeon at Viacom Nordics.

The popular Youtubers Tixuu and Elina and Sofia were the first Finns to try the concept and shared their experience in social media.
