Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside Hosts Star-Studded Grand Opening at intu Lakeside

Nickelodeon UK & Ireland and Parques Reunidos today, Saturday 15th February 2020 hosted the grand opening of Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside, the brand new Nickelodeon-themed indoor family entertainment centre at intu Lakeside in Essex!


Among the famous faces celebrating the opening of Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside were former The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge and her family, ex-footballer husband Wayne, 39, and their children Parker, six, and Carter Bridge, four.

Also enjoying the attraction with their families were The Only Way Is Essex stars Samantha and Billie Faiers.

The Mummy Diaries Billie was joined by her family, Greg Shepherd and children, daughter Nelly and son Arthur. Billie's sister Sam was joined by her partner Paul Knightley and children Paul Jnr and Rosie.

The star-studded event saw the stars and their families immerse themselves in the worlds of their favourite Nickelodeon characters including SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, Dora the Explorer, Shimmer and Shine, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Attending celebrities, media and influencers were treated to exclusive Nickelodeon goody bags. SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star also made special appearances for photo ops.

The Nickelodeon-themed indoor family entertainment centre from Nickelodeon and Parques Reunidos provides pure entertainment for kids and families. Boasting a colourful décor, the centre is highly interactive with a large variety of adventure zones as well as a dedicated space for the younger members of the family, numerous attractions and Nickelodeon-themed areas - perfect for birthday parties and family get-togethers. Experiences include character meet-and-greets featuring some of Nickelodeon's most beloved characters, such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, PAW Patrol and The Fairly OddParents. Building on intu Lakeside's highly successful catering offer, it also boasts a dedicated food and beverage area called the Slime Café and a Nickelodeon retail space offering Nickelodeon merchandise. Characters are brought to life in four interactive zones: Nickelodeon Central; Bikini Bottom; Ninja Turtle Zone, and Adventure Bay.

With a 4D cinema and private party suites, Nickelodeon Adventure is described as the perfect place for birthday parties, weekends, holidays or even an after school treat.

Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside opened its doors in December 2019, but today was the centre's official opening.

Tickets cost £14.95 for children and £7.50 for adults with separate annual passes also available.

AD - PRESS TRIP We had such a fun morning at the official launch of Nickelodeon Adventure at Intu Lakeside. There are 4 immersive themed zones. As you walk in you are greeted by Paw Patrol cars Skye' Helicopter along with a Look out tower complete with Slide! 🚁 There is a whole zone dedicated to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s. This was definitely George's favourite zone and he loved crawling through all the little tunnels. It was also Mike's favourite zone as he got live his 90s dream and high five a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle... I just wish I'd captured it on camera! 🐢 Lilys favourite part was a tough split between the meet and greets and Spongebobs Boat Ride. Lily and Mike went into the 4D theatre, which was a little scary for her. The highlight for me was seeing both kids being able to enjoy something together and crawl around and play together so I guess that's another vote for the Ninja Turtles ❤️❤️ The 90's child in me did love the Rugrats soft play too...and I never ever thought I'd say I enjoyed soft play so thats a huge win! Ad] This morning we were invited to the press launch of @nickelodeonadventurelakeside It was a great event and the children loved it. After the official opening the boys went to get their faces painted all opting for ninja turtles. Then we explored the various zones. The Turtles area was the boys favourite and they loved the planes. Another favourite was the Sponge Bob driving school where they can drive a boat round a track. The cafe was well stocked and bright and has lots of the merchandise on display. The party rooms looked great too. There are several interactive areas as well as the Paw Patrol vehicles to play on. There were slides and tunnels which the boys loved. I thought the toilets were good as there were several lowered sinks for children. Overall a great morning and good fun. . . . • N i c k e l o d e o n • This morning we attended the launch event of the @nickelodeonadventurelakeside at @intulakeside .. the boys had the best time! All thanks to @talktomumsuk for sending us as one of their reporters! It’s such a cute lovely place for kiddies, and both 2 and 6 year olds had such a lovely time and enjoyed every minute!! The park features a paw patrol themed area with 4 of the characters vehicles to play on, and a huge lookout tower slide! Other play areas include bikini bottom from sponge Bob with lots of interactive buttons and activities to get certain features to move etc.. The ninja turtles area with a rooftop style park, and a rugrats soft play area! We also made use of the cafe inside the park which served everything from fruit shoots to pom bears for the kiddies! All round a great morning out! Thanks for having us!!

#ad | today we were invited along to the official launch of @nickelodeonadventurelakeside at @intulakeside We have had such a good day and Stanley has loved every second. He was even brave enough to get up close to the characters which he's never done before without tears! My first thoughts when walking in were that it was really bright and welcoming and I was surprised how big it was! Being at lakeside, it's so easy to get to as well which is a bonus for us. There are different areas inside based on Nickelodeon characters including SpongeBob, Dora the explorer and the teenage mutant ninja turtles! Stanley's favourite part was definitely adventure bay where he played on the lookout tower slide and pressed all the buttons in the paw patrol vehicles. There was so much to do inside but Stanley was a little bit too short for the rides and 4d cinema so we'll definitely be visiting again when Stanley is a bit bigger! I was so impressed with the gift shop and the fact they also do birthday parties there! Defo booking for Stanley's 3rd birthday whether he likes it or not 😂 Overall it's been a fantastic day and I can't thank @beattiecommunications and @nickelodeonadventurelakeside enough for inviting us to this event!
