New Liza Koshy Comedy Series in Development at Nickelodeon

Fans of Liza Koshy were disappointed last year when Nickelodeon decided to cancel and not renew it's Double Dare revival for a third season, however, it looks like the digital creator and actor could be making her way back to Nickelodeon TV screens!

Broadway World TV is reporting the exciting news that writer, producer and performer Eliot Glazer is developing a new half-hour comedy for Nickelodeon with the working title Untitled Liza Koshy Project.

Glazer, who serves as Executive Producer on Koshy's hit series Liza on Demand, has written for Broad City, Teachers, New Girl, and Younger and is also developing original half-hour comedies I Run Hot for AMC Studios and Dentata at Paramount Studios. He also hosts the bi-monthly live show Haunting Renditions in Los Angeles and New York and in cities and festivals around the country. Best known as 'Eliot' on Broad City, he appears alongside Seth Rogen in the upcoming Lionsgate/HBO Max movie An American Pickle. He'll next be seen on The House Hunters: Comedians on Couches.

Liza Koshy is an actor, television host, comedian and YouTuber who began her career on Vine in 2013, before starting a YouTube channel. Among her acting roles have been Aday Walker in Tyler Perry's horror comedy film Boo! A Madea Halloween (2016) and The Explorer in the YouTube Premium series Escape the Night (2017). She starred as Violet Adams in the Hulu drama television series Freakish (2016–2017). From 2017 to 2018, she was a contributor to the MTV television series Total Request Live. Since 2018, Koshy has produced and starred as the title character in the YouTube Premium comedy series Liza on Demand.

Koshy's main YouTube channel has amassed more than 17 million subscribers, and her two channels have a total of more than 2.5 billion combined views. She has received four Streamy Awards, four Teen Choice Awards, and a Kids' Choice Award. She was included in the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 Hollywood & Entertainment list and the Time 2019 list of the 25 Most Influential People on the Internet and its 2019 100 Next list.

Hosted by Liza Koshy, Nickelodeon's Double Dare revival saw a new generation of fans compete in the messiest and most physically challenging competition of their lives. With Double Dare remaining an iconic touchstone for its original millennial audiences, the new version featured the gameplay and challenges they remember, as well as appearances from blasts from the past and stars from today, including original series host Marc Summers, who returned to give colorful commentary on the challenges, lending his vast knowledge of the game and expertise to each episode. The revived Double Dare premiered on Nickelodeon during Summer 2018 and ended its run in December 2019.
