Nicaragua's Channel 8 Acquires Rights to 'Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan'

Nick News Mini: Central American broadcaster Televisora Nicaraguense has acquired the rights to Nickelodeon's hit live-action comedy series, Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan for its free-to air (FTA) network Channel 8 from the recently-revamped ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) Distribution. The series, which premiered on Nickelodeon USA in February and is currently rolling out onto Nickelodeon channels globally, stars actor and recording artist Young Dylan (Dylan Gilmer) as an aspiring hip-hop artist who moves in with his aunt and uncle. The series, executive produced, directed and written by Tyler Perry and marks Perry’s first live-action series written specially for children recently completed its first season (12 episodes) on Nickelodeon. The show's debut reached more than 2.6 million total viewers in six airings over its premiere weekend, making it the biggest Live +3 lifts for a series premiere in three years for the network.
