'The Barbarian and the Troll' Turns an Ally's Sacrifice Into a Win in New Sneak Peek

An new preview of The Barbarian and the Troll sees the questing party sacrifice one of their own as collateral before its Nickelodeon premiere.

The latest new clip for Nickelodeon's The Barbarian and the Troll sees the questing party sacrifice one of their own to gain entry into a castle. However, this sacrifice turns out to be a win overall.

The new clip, courtesy of CBR, picks up Stacy the Owl talking with the large knight guarding the castle. Stacy offers some collateral as a sign of good faith that they won't cause trouble if allowed entry. To his surprise, Evan is the one offered up as collateral. "It's just the best, most important part of the quest," Brendar tells Evan. After talking it up, Evan is excited to be collateral, meaning he has to stay behind with the knight while his friends leave without him.

"Hey, you don't have to be nervous around me just cause I'm all super-important because I'm collateral. I'm just like you... made of fur and hair and meat," Evan tells the knight. "I'm assuming you're made of that. It's kinda hard to see past that grill of yours." The knight tells Evan that he's exhausting, which leads Evan to play him a song to put the knight to sleep.

Of course, the knight is skeptical but eventually passes out asleep once Evan finishes his tune.

In the premiere of The Barbarian and the Troll, Evan the troll decides to burn his bridge and venture out into the world of Gothmoria for the first time to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a singer. He soon meets Brendar, who had been expelled from the Royal Order of Warrior Princesses and is now known as a “feared and revered” barbarian. After Evan convinces Brendar to bring him on her quest to vanquish the evil demon, they cross treacherous terrain to confront bizarre and magical creatures and encounter an eclectic puppet cast of wacky characters.
