'The Patrick Star Show' Is the First 'SpongeBob' Project Not to Have the Involvement of Late Creator Stephen Hillenburg

The Patrick Star Show is the first SpongeBob SquarePants project not to have Stephen Hillenburg, the late creator of Nickelodeon's beloved series, involved in its production. The information was revealed during  the closing credits of The Patrick Star Show, the second spin-off from SpongeBob SquarePants, which features a "based on characters created by Stephen Hillenburg" credit for the late creator.

The information further confirms that Stephen had a hand in Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, the first spin-off from the long-running series, which gives Stephen a "created by" credit.
