How to Watch Star Trek: Prodigy

A new adventure awaits for an intrepid young crew


Attention, Star Trek fans! You’ve never seen a Trek like this before. A highly-anticipated new Star Trek adventure for the whole family is beaming in. Star Trek: Prodigy makes its debut on Thursday, Oct. 28 with a one-hour premiere episode, exclusively for Paramount+ subscribers in the U.S.

The CG-animated series follows a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search of a better future. These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they have commandeered but over the course of their adventures together, they will each be introduced to Starfleet and the ideals it represents.

First Look at Star Trek: Prodigy


Star Trek: Voyager's iconic leader Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) returns to voice a training hologram in the series. Joining Mulgrew are Rylee Alazraqui as Rok-Tahk, Brett Gray as Dal, Angus Imrie as Zero, Jason Mantzoukas as Jankom Pog, Ella Purnell as Gwyn, and Dee Bradley Baker as Murf. Additionally, Daveed Diggs, Jameela Jamil, Jason Alexander and Robert Beltran have joined the season one voice cast with recurring roles. Diggs will voice Commander Tysess, Jamil will voice Ensign Asencia, Alexander will voice Doctor Noum and Beltran will reprise his Star Trek: Voyager role as Captain Chakotay.

Also joining the crew and making their debut as the series’ main villains, is Aussie John Noble and Jimmi Simpson as The Diviner and Drednok, respectively.

In the one-hour Star Trek: Prodigy series premiere titled "Lost & Found", exiled on a mining colony outside Federation space, a group of lawless teens discover a derelict Starfleet ship. Dal must gather an unlikely crew for their newfound ship if they are going to escape Tars Lamora, but The Diviner and his daughter Gwyn have other plans. Written by: Kevin & Dan Hageman.
