NICKELODEON AND SNL STUDIOS PARTNER FOR ALL-NEW ORIGINAL DAVID S. PUMPKINS ANIMATED HALLOWEEN MOVIE
The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Spooktacular Is Slated to Premiere on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ in October 2023
Burbank, Calif. - Nickelodeon Animation and SNL Studios have announced a partnership to produce an original animated Halloween movie based on the beloved Saturday Night Live sketch David S Pumpkins. The animated comedy will bow on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ in October 2023.
The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Spooktacular will follow David Simon Pumpkins and his dancing skeleton crew to create the most spooktacular Halloween experience ever.
First introduced on Saturday Night Live in 2016, David Simon Pumpkins, portrayed by iconic actor Tom Hanks on SNL, is the star attraction at a variety of haunted attractions, including the 100 Floors of Frights and Haunted Prison. Originally from Ibiza, Pumpkins just wants to scare Halloween lovers stupid whilst doing his own thing. He is accompanied by his two faithful skeletons who just love to dance whilst being "part of Pumpkins' schemes".
The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Spooktacular will be written by Bobby Moynihan, Mikey Day, and Streeter Seidell, who created the character for Saturday Night Live. Kenan Thompson (Good Burger 2) will also have a guest starring role.

The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Spooktacular joins Nickelodeon's upcoming slate for Paramount+, which includes Good Burger 2, Zoey 102, and Monster High: The Movie 2.
