ORIGINAL PUPPET-BASED SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS SPINOFF FOR PRESCHOOLERS,

Longtime SpongeBob Voice Actors to Reprise Roles
BURBANK, Calif.--April 1, 2024--Nickelodeon has given the official greenlight to SpongeBob & You! (working title), the third spinoff of the number-one animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio, SpongeBob & You! (13 episodes) is a new puppet-based curriculum-driven interactive preschool series that follows SpongeBob as he invites viewers to join him and his underwater pals on educational adventures around his hometown of Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob & You! will feature a curriculum that infuses the core elements of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) and will also cover kindergarten readiness, including literacy, shape recognition and socio-emotional development. Segments will include nature with Patrick, mathematics with Mr. Krabs, science with Sandy, road safety with Mrs. Puff, the arts with Squidward, crafting with Plankton, computing with Karen, and more.
The series will also boast an original soundtrack designed to help children learn through song, and will help reinforce the idea that everyday can be the Best Day Ever when you learn something new.
A weekly SpongeBob & You! companion Podcast series will also launch with the series.

It will also connect with the franchise's original audience around the world who continue to love these characters.”
Veteran SpongeBob voice actors Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick Star), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy Cheeks) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton) reprise their iconic roles in this new series.
SpongeBob & You! is produced by the team behind Pineapple Playhouse, a short-form series which recreated iconic moments from SpongeBob SquarePants using puppets.
Marc Ceccarelli (SpongeBob SquarePants), Vincent Waller (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Jennie Monica (SpongeBob SquarePants) are co-executive producers of the series. SpongeBob & You! is developed for television by Claudia Spinelli, SVP of Animation Development, Nickelodeon, with production overseen by Kelley Gardner, Vice President, Current Series, Animation, Nickelodeon.
The greenlit is the third spin-off from Nickelodeon's beloved animated series, SpongeBob SquarePants, which is celebrating its landmark 25th anniversary this year, and follows the first-ever SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff, the Paramount+ Original series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, and The Patrick Star Show, which will follow SpongeBob's best friend Patrick Star as a young adult.
