It looks like Blaze and the Monster Machines have come to the end of the road.

Nickelodeon has decided to cancel the network's hit CG-animated preschool series Blaze and the Monster Machines, with its ninth season, currently airing on Nickelodeon, set to be the show's final. The news was revealed by series co-creator Jeff Borkin in a message to a fan.

Blaze and the Monster Machines will end its run after 180 episodes. Borkin went on to explain that Nickelodeon had renewed the show for an additional 26 episodes - which were set to be spread across seasons 10 and 11 - which would have brought the show's episode count up to 206, however, the network decided to cancel the episode order mid-production during summer 2024.

The STEM-based preschool series Blaze and the Monster Machines follows the amazing monster truck Blaze and his driver AJ as they explore the physics of how things move, tackle problems through scientific inquiry and mathematics, and discover the parts needed to make everyday technologies work. Co-created by Jeff Borkin (Team Umizoomi head writer) and Ellen Martin (Bubble Guppies supervising producer), the series premiered on Monday, October 13, 2014 as the first preschool show on TV to comprehensively cover all areas of STEM in every episode.
